Although the family was finally together again, it didn't stop Adelaide from waking up at her normal time in the middle of the night. Her cries woke Christian up immediately and he was quick to get out of bed. "I got her," He said quietly to his wife as he kissed the side of her head before walking in by his little baby girl, who seemed visibly upset.
"Hey, what's all the noise for?" Christian whispered to Adelaide before picking her up and cradling her in his arms. "Why are you crying, princess?"
Her cries instantly subsided when she saw it was her dad who was holding her. She became a little squirmy, but just showing excitement as she hadn't seen her dad in a couple of weeks.
"You just wanted to be held, huh? Did you miss your daddy?" He whispered, kissing her forehead gently. He couldn't help but smile. "You need to sleep, Addy.." Christian said quietly before moving to put her back in her crib.
Not a good idea.
Instantly, she started crying again, almost screeching. Christian picked her up again, "Maybe not, alright." He said as he cradled her in his arms again. "Do you need your diaper changed, babygirl?" He asked his now calm daughter as he checked to make sure she didn't need a diaper change. Just wanted to be held by her dad.
Christian settled himself into the rocking chair that sat in Adelaide's room and rested her against his chest as he hummed quietly to the little girl, hoping it would make her fall asleep. It wasn't long before he fell asleep as well, holding his angel close to him.

Sawyer walked in Adelaide's room the next morning and giggled before running into the master bedroom. "Mommy, Daddy sweep with Addy.."
Viviana looked confused, "Huh?" She got up, putting her robe on and walked behind Sawyer into Adelaide's room where she found Christian sleeping in the rocking chair, still holding Adelaide against his chest. "Oh, goodness.." She said quietly, taking Adelaide from Christian's arms. "You okay, sweetheart?" She kissed her daughter's head and laid her on her changing table to get her diaper changed.
Christian stirred awake and almost panicked; He thought he had dropped Adelaide. Once he saw Viviana, he just held his chest, "You scared the shit out of me...I thought she fell or something.."
"Sawyer came in our room telling me you were sleeping in here and I was confused as to what he was talking about.." Viviana said as she finished changing Adelaide and held her in her arms again. "Was everything okay last night?"

He nodded, "She just wanted to see her daddy and be held, I guess. I would try and lay her back down and she would just screech. So, I sat in the rocking chair and was just going to sit there until she fell asleep but I guess I fell asleep as well," Christian chuckled, "Sorry."
Viviana shook her head, "No need to be sorry. Wanna come help me make some breakfast and get some lunches made for these kiddos?" Christian smiled at his wife and walked with her and the two kids downstairs. These are the mornings he missed.
"Daddy, I go wiff you to game today?" Sawyer asked as he munched on his pancakes at the table.
"I don't know, buddy. That's up to your mommy!" Christian looked over at Viviana who was cleaning up the counter.
Viviana smiled, "I'm fine with him going. He knows to behave and be a good boy," She replied as she walked over to sit at the table. "I'm gonna stay home with the girls.."
Christian frowned, "I would appreciate if all of you were there, though. You know how much it means to me."
"I do, but, I don't think I want to bring Adelaide into big crowds yet. I know it was around this time with Eiley and Sawyer, but I don't know. Something is just different about the third kid." Viviana shrugged, "But I promise we'll have it on TV and we'll be cheering you on."
He sighed, "Understandable. But, it'll happen soon, right?"
"Yes, baby," Viviana replied, "I think we could even do a road trip, like Chicago or Minnesota?" She suggested, lighting up Christian's eyes.
"I would love that, babe." Christian told her, "I would love for you all to come on a road trip with me!"
Viviana wiped the corner of Adelaide's mouth and nodded, "I think it's only right that we wait a little bit, plus, I want a little mommy and girls time," she shrugged, "I love my Sawyer man, but I know he's been dying to hang out with you one-on-one."
Christian looked over at Sawyer, "Is that so? You wanna have a daddy and son day?" His son nodded, "I think we can do that. Anytime you want, buddy." He ruffled up his son's hair. "Why don't you get ready and then we can go to the ballpark?"
Sawyer got out of his chair and bolted to his room to get ready for the day.

"We have some cute kids, huh?" Viviana said to her husband as she picked her baby daughter up. "Especially this little cutie," she giggled and kissed Adelaide's cheeks, causing her to giggle as well.
"They get it from you." Christian said before kissing his wife, and she couldn't help but giggle against his lips before returning the kiss.
Eiley fake gagged, "Eww!!!" She exclaimed, "That's icky!"
Christian laughed as he pulled away and looked over at his daughter before picking her up. "What's so icky, Eiley Rose?" He kissed all over her face, earning a loud giggle from her. "That's what I thought! You love getting kisses."
"Yeah, but you kiss mommy on the lips!" She pointed at her lips, "That's icky, daddy!"
"I kiss you on the lips all the time!" He pecked his daughter's lips, "See!"
Eiley wiped her lips and just stuck her tongue out at Christian, "Icky." She wiggled in his arms, letting him know she wanted to be put down. "No more icky."
Christian laughed again, "Alright, Eils. Whatever you say."

"Daddy, Unc' Lo give me a ball!" Sawyer held up the ball like it was a prized possession as they walked out of the clubhouse and into the halls of the service level to make their way to the parking lot.
"I saw that! Did you say thank you?" Christian asked him as he picked him up, resting him on his hip. "I think you were the star of the show today." he told his son, who just blushed and shook his head. "What do you say we grab some pizza for dinner and take it home to mommy and the girls?"
Sawyer nodded quickly, "Yes, daddy! Pizza, please!" He smiled at his dad as Christian buckled him into his carseat, getting in the driver's seat.
They grabbed pizza for the family and made their way home. Once they both walked in the door, Sawyer was quick to run to his mom to tell her all about his day and show her the ball that Lorenzo gave him.
Eiley walked up to Christian and held her arms up, "Hi, daddy! I see you hit that ball!"
Christian smiled at his eldest, picking her up and kissed her cheek. "You did? Did you cheer super loud?"
She nodded, "Yeah, even Addy cheer too!" she said with a giggle.
"Addy also missed her daddy.." Viviana said as she approached Christian and Eiley with Adelaide in her arms. "I'll trade ya." She said, handing Adelaide off to Christian as he handed off Eiley to her.
"I missed my little princess," He said softly as he rocked Adelaide in his arms, "Were you good for mommy and your big sister?" he whispered, kissing the top of her head, "I bet you're super tired, though, huh? It's a little past your bedtime!"
Viviana smiled at Christian, "Eiley was so excited to see you play on television. I wish we could've been there," she frowned and ran her fingers through Eiley's hair.
Christian shook his head, "Hey, it's fine. We talked it out, and we both agreed that Adelaide is just too little yet to be in the big crowds. No frowning, only smiling," he told his wife before kissing her cheek. "Why don't we go get these kids ready for bed?"
And that's what they did. They worked better together when they were both able to get things done as a unit. Christian would always make sure that Sawyer was comfy in bed before going to assist Viviana in giving the girls a bath if it wasn't Sawyer's bath night. Viviana would make sure Adelaide was fed and changed before she was laid in her crib and the couple always gave Eiley a little extra cuddling time before they put her to bed.
"Hey you," Vivi whispered to her husband after they got all three kids to bed. "You did really good today.." She told him, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Yeah? Thanks, babe." Christian replied, kissing her gently. "Even if I don't have you there, somehow, I just know that my lucky charms are always supporting me."
Viviana couldn't help but blush, "You know it's you doing all the work, baby. Not us, we just support you."
He shrugged, "I know, but, I always do better knowing that my family is cheering me on." He replied, rubbing her side.
"Well, you know I'm always going to be proud of you, no matter what." Viviana told her husband as she moved her arms to grab one of his hands and led him to the bedroom.
That's the reassurance Christian needed in his life. He knew he had the support, but hearing it from his family was just more confidence for him.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
