You stood beside Knuckles and Amy chatting back and forth as the two geniuses, Eggman and Tails, finished their work close by. A soft glow of green energy occasionally pulsated light onto your (f/c) fur.

Knuckles tilted his head side to side as he cracked his neck, sore from all the standing and planning, "Now that the Deadly Six are here, hopefully we can end this crazy infestation before it gets much worse-"

"I am sorry to 'burst your bubble' Mr. Echidna, but we do have a problem. Sonic is infected." Gemrel walked up to the group, stating the obvious.

Amy reeled back to look at the robot, Knuckles looked unamused at the repeat of information, and you raised an eyebrow... "We- know?"

"Update. It would appear Sonic's infection has grown. He appears to no longer be able to burn off infection. It will soon conquer and adapt to his speed."

The patch of grass went silent. With tired eyes, Amy blinked at the robot, stunned. You looked back and forth at the group as you received the bad news... "Gemrel, could you go tell Tails... Please?-"

"Will do Miss. (Y/n)." The robot's lower body twisted 180o degrees around and marched towards the fox, who was working with Eggman on the device wielding the Warp Topaz.

A few more silent moments later, you turned to the pink girl who stared at the ground. This really was bad...

"I can't imagine what havoc they could be wreaking right now..." Amy sighed, wishing she could ignore the new information just out of defeat. She rubbed her forehead with her hand as she appeared tired. "Now we really are in a time crunch.... plus , especially now that each one of the members has a chaos emerald."

You put a hand on her shoulder and tried to pick the poor girl back up, "We'll figure out a way to stop each of them, just like our science boys have been theorizing." Amy forced herself to stand back up and shake her head, you and Knuckles widened your eyes as she almost stumbled.

After she was ok, you added all that Rouge had been telling you. That sneaky bat had been a huge help as a spy in the faceship. The Freedom Fighters now knew each location of each member of the Deadly Six. It was an advantage, even if it would only be a matter of time until Zavok found you.

Zazz in Riverside, Zomnom in Vista View, the edgy kid Zor was in Orchardville, Zenna was stealing jewelry in Sunset City, and finally, Master Zik was in Winterburg commanding a true army.

"I'm sure we'll find good teams, we have to or else we'll run out of time."

"Speaking of running!" Sonic appeared! Skidding to a haut after he left to go 'burn off' a little bit of the Metal Virus. Something he didn't quite know yet was becoming useless. Amy opened her mouth to speak to her hero when an excited yell erupted in the background.

"Huzzah! A newly functioning multi-portal generator! As far as I've calculated, it shouldn't implode on itself." Eggman threw his hands in the air to celebrate his co-op creation with tails, who of which Eggman claimed all the credit for. To Eggman's frowning dismay, the fox ignored the Dr. to run to Sonic, to see if he was ok after being told the same news.

It was so sad to see the little genius hold back a hug or a power bump to his friend... His tails fell to the ground with sorrow and little emotion, ears folded down as he went back to a device, "Alright Sonic, while you were gone we decided to go in teams."

"Divide and Conquer!" Jet cheered.

"You mean Divide and Steal." You joked back, suddenly behind the egotistic bird. His green feathers flew up as you startled him. His big gray friend narrowed his eyes at you and Wave subtly tried to hide a laugh as well. You winked at the bird and gestured for him to focus back on the dispatches.

"Anyways, I already thought of some good teams. Now, hear me out." Sonic began to point between his fox buddy and the pink hedgehog, "Tails and Amy can go after Zomnom/ The dude is dumb as a brick and you should be able to easily outwit him."

The hero then pointed to the chameleon on top of a tall pillar as Knuckles stood below with crossed arms. Before Sonic could even speak, the red echidna blurted out a big, "Nope."

You turned to Knuckles, narrowing an eyes and raising the other, "Dude- you didn't even let him finish."

Tired of interference, Sonic closed an annoyed eye and looked to his friend, "I was going to say... that Espio and Knuckles could go after Zazz, the berserker since the two of you could overpower his strength."

"Still a nope." Knuckles didn't move. He stood firm in his position and gave a rather fair reason not to go. "That would leave the Master Emerald here with Eggman and Metal Sonic. As its guardian I cannot leave it open like that. Plus, you're in no shape to fight if they do act up."

Eggman gasped loudly behind Sonic. The hedgehog turned around, looking at the doctor with an infected, glowing rustic red eye. Eggman winced as he saw the state of the hedgehog," You dare imply I would double-cross you all at such a critical time?" He smiled devilishly through his entire protest.

"Yeeeaaahhh..... I'm good with a nope." You chimed in, nodding to Knuckles who appreciated your agreement, smiling proudly as he relished his role as the Guardian of the Master Emerald.

You widened your eyes as something caught your attention in the background, "What about Gante?"

Gante.

It felt like forever since you saw that black dragon. When he heard his name being called out, he dropped the crate he was hauling and approached, "What is it?"

"Could you go with Espio to fight off Zazz?"

The dragon's fiery eyes widened and his wings fell slack, "Me?- I'm just a soldier, no super hero like you lot."

You walked up to him and patted his shoulder, "We don't need powers Gante, we just need your brute power. Besides, it's Espio. You reptile dudes got each other's backs, right?"

Turning to the side, you revealed Espio as he sat on his tall podium. He waved to Gante and jumped down, "We got each other's backs. For Vector." The camelon held out a hand to the dragon.

You smiled warmly as you glanced to Gante. The black dragon looked to his friend, and smiled wide with a tooth grin, "And Charmy."

"Cool, works for me." Sonic continued with explaining each team. "Silver and Whisper can go after Zor, that edgy kid with the giant bird. He's best handled at a distance."

Silver tightened his hands into fists and smiled wide, sparkles practically bursting from his confident posture. Whisper stood next to him, quiet as ever, simply replying with "Roger."

Silver looked to the girl, a practical polar opposite, and assured her that fighting together would be an honor! As he knew her as the 'Angel of the Battle Field.'

"Cool. Now that leaves Gemrel to go after Zenna. She's so fond of herself she'll definitely underestimate whoever goes after her.-"

"WAI-! What about me? I wanna help out too!." Cream joined Gemrel's side and objected herself into the equation.

The robot knelt down to the rabbit who tried to hold back strong tears. "It is too dangerous. You have proven to be very brave already but I will not– CANNOT – lost you too."

The little girl looked to the grassy ground she stood on, avoiding the robot's gaze as she understood that this truly was dangerous. Maybe even life or death.

"You just have to trust your friends Cream." You added, trying to give some hope to the small rabbit.

"Sorry Cream, but both of them are right. You're very brave but we need you to sit this one out." Sonic looked at the girl softly, who slowly nodded after her eyes met his. The hedgehog then sighed, "Finally, we've got Master Zik. He may be old and tiny but he''s rather crafty than the rest of the Deadly Six, probably combined. So, we'll match that with the Babylon Rogues."

Jet laughed, "Oh please. The three of us can handle that blueberry no problem."

The osprey cheered behind him, "YEAH! I ain't afraid to hit an old man!"

You began to laugh hysterically at the enthusiasm of the birds. At first it startled Jet, but he soon smiled as he believed to be on your good side. When you finished your chuckled, you nodded to the hawk, "Stay classy Pretty Boy."

The bird then tipped an invisible hat to you, until his blue eyes flicked to Eggman. The big man loomed over Sonic rather close, "Then it will be up to Rouge to get the last two on the faceship. The powersource and Zavok's. IF all goes to plan SOnic will then come back and use the emeralds to turn into Super Sonic and undo everything that's happened...." Eggman mumbled that last part, until he smiled wide at his rival, "That is unless you succumb to the virus first?"

Sonic was definitely unamused. There was no lashing back or quips, "Don't start that."

"Seriously Eggman?" You walked up to the infected hedgehog, grabbing his wrist with your one armored hand and flailing it towards the doctor. Small pieces of metal flaked off and flew in the wind towards him, "You know your life's on the line too."

You dropped Sonic's hand, it falling slack to his side as he stifled a laugh at your audacity.

"Correct, but ergo.. TAILS!!!!"

"I'm right here-" The fox was standing right next to Eggman, his ears falling to his head as he tried to block out the yell.

"Ah. Well if everything is settled let's build Sonic a little treadmill so he can power the device. Since speed isn't doing it anymore for the virus we'll give it a new use."

"Wa- WAIT!" You stepped forwards, confused at how you weren't placed in a team. Everyone turned back to look at you, nodding at how you were an asset and could be used in the field. "Where am I going?-"

"Ah right, sorry (Y/n)." Sonic stopped in his tracks as he trailed behind Eggman and Tails. The Dr. sighed behind the hedgehog as he was put behind schedule due to your question. Sonic the gestured to the teams, "Each is pretty strong so it's really up to you."

You scanned around each of the 5 teams, you had to think to yourself which one you'd fit the best.

Amy and Tails were a powerhouse of a team, but needed wit to go up against Zomnom.

Espio and Knuckles were brawlers, just like you. Your armor would be even more help, plus, you'd get to finally fight along side Gante.

Whisper and Silver were some of the coolest heroes you'd have ever met, and with the giant owl that Zor had, they might need a closer ranged fighter as a good distraction.

Gemrel was all alone however, but his strength could definitely overpower Zeena when she underestimates him. Only issue would be if she remembers she can control robots... Gemrel would just have to be fast enough.

Finally, the Babylon Rogues against Zik. Their numbers would already be 3 to one, but even so Zik was just that dangerous even if he was 'old and tiny.'

"Come on (m/s), we don't have all day." Eggman interrupted, throwing his arms in the air. It caused Metal Sonic to stare you down too.

Sonic jumped in front of them, "Go ahead (Y/n). Take your pick."

Hello pals! I am back. Within the week I've been gone I made a pole for where the reader would go and I've decided to write Scenario so I can get back into writing. This chapter will be about preparing for the jump to each destination. 5 teams, so 5 chapters.^^
