Spoilers Ahead for what happened in the other routes! The start of this chapter will be written from the perspective if (Y/n) went with Route B, Cream and Gemerl.

Slowly, you walked through the green warp portal with solemn (e/c) eyes. Your gaze never left the ground as you continued to reminisce about what happened. Vision became tunneled as you stopped in the archway out of the portal while returning chaos unfolded around you as the rest of each team came back.

Only two teams seemed to appear back in full. Tails and Amy had the blue chaos emerald, Whisper and Silver got the cyan. The lack of friends damned the mood, the atmosphere turning gray despite the beauty of the island you just returned to.

From where you walked out alone, Sonic stood close by as you emerged, "(Y/n), I'm glad you're safe. But- where's..." The blue hero didn't have it in his charismatic heart to finish the sentence. He knew what must have happened.

"Cream risked her life to save me... Gemerl stayed back with her." You muttered, placing a hand on your forehead, over your eyes to shield your friends from the oncoming tears.

Sonic let out a defeated sigh and went to grab your hand, but your safeguard was gone from your battle. His gaze too now turned to the ground, but his gaze perked up again as someone approached.

Espio walked up from behind you with the yellow chaos emerald in hand, "Too many tears have been shed..."

Quickly, you turned to find Espio in the same condition. He was battered and held his head up with heavy sorrow. Gante was nowhere to be seen.

"I'm sorry (Y/n)... Zazz, he-"

You snapped at the chameleon, eyes widened as you realized your hostility. Shaking your head in apology, you murmured that, "I don't want to hear it. I get it, what happened.. I just- don't want to think about it."

Espio understood, unflinching as you appeared aggressive. He knew this was mourning.

"Sorry, Espio, I didn't mean to yell." With a deep breath, you picked yourself back up and held your red chaos emerald. "Let's just get this over with. No more tears have to be shed."

"The (m/s) is right. Let's finish this before- The big giant faceship gets here perhaps." Eggman pointed to the sky as a massive shadow overtook Angel Island, looming overhead as it's fear red eyes glared down at your fellow heroes.

"Ah oh." You blurted out.

"Well then, let's get moving!" Sonic called out, grabbing each emerald from each team and placed them on a table to count. You noticed that Eggman caught the green one that the Babylon Rogues managed to snag, and stole it from the Dr to add to the rest.

Skipping over you noticed..."Ok, now where's the other two? You need them for super Sonic."

Sonic gently smiled for the first time in a while, "About that." He then turned to the white hedgehog who began to approach with the cyan emerald in hand. "In the future, everything is infected. That means what we're doing now has already happened."

Based on Sonic's expression, Silver was certainly intrigued with what he had to say, so Sonic continued. He must have figured out something while you were away, "...but now YOU are here. We can change what happened with the one thing, phew, that wasn't there before. So, Silver. I need your help."

You began to tell that time was running out. Sonic was becoming exhausted even just talking.

Silver became serious, eyes narrowing as he handed the emerald to Sonic, "Just tell me what I have to do.-"

"-The Faceship is gaining! We need to hurry!" Tails put his hands to his ears as he began to panic.

Eggman let out a grunt and turned to a communication wristwatch on his arm, "Rouge, whatever you plan on doing, DO IT NOW!"

You pumped your fists in the air and turned to your enemies, "It's go time."

Zavok stood atop the viewing balcony of the faceship, staring down at the little place called Angel Island. He knew his enemies resided here as their last stop for hope, and he chuckled to himself, preaching the end of Sonic as he remarked about the power of the metal virus. A purple emerald was embedded in his wide chest as his arms were crossed behind his back.

However he was soon spooked by bolts of electricity pumped out of every electric crevice of the ship, "What in blazes...?!"

"Goodness! Does this one emerald power the whole ship?" Rouge sat atop the chaos emerald throne holding up a crystalline white gem, admiring it's shimmer in the electricity.

The bat soon began to take off, flapping her wings as she soured through an exit point with Or-bot and Cu-bot close behind, arguing about how unfortunately this was their only option to work with Rouge.

The smug sabotagee waved a, "bye-bye," to the zette as she spiraled down to the ground to the rest of the freedom fighters, Zavok yelled at her as she made an elegant escape.

Eggman and Sonic stood next to each other as they looked at the crashing Faceship, where the Dr, distrurbed, mentioned that, "...There goes my best effort to date-" with you and Metal Sonic close behind them as if "bodyguards". Occasionally you caught glances at each other as your heroes bantered back and forth, but your attention was drawn away while you saw Rouge appear.

Floating a few feet above the ground, Rouge nodded as she handed you the emerald, "Mm hmmm...You're welcome by the way."

You lightly laughed at her continued enthusiasm, "How'd you know it wouldn't destroy the zombots?"

She landed in front of you and leaned on your shoulder, proud of her achievement, "Honey, I do my research. Don't worry. Just focus on trying to get Zavok's emerald. It's the last one right?"

You nodded, "Right, and we've got a plan too."

Rouge, pointed to the Faceship that drowned in flames below Angel Island, "Zavok should be knocked down from that one. He's not going anywhere."

Eggman tilted his head and bent forwards as he scanned the terrain, "Actually he's coming right for us."

"What?" All your friends raced to the edge to peer down at the ground, but instead... a massive red beast, an empowered Zavok, rose to nearly as tall as Angel Island. A kaiju, surrounded by a zombot army below.

You were forced to take a step back, staring at the creature you now had to fight in order to get that one chaos emerald... Sadly you thought to yourself, 'There's no way-'

A fire began to spiral in the jaws of the beastial Zavok, breaching panic amongst all the heroes on Angel Island. In a furious blast, the zette hurled the blast right into the base of Angel Island.

Knuckled threw his hands in the air, trying to yell at the giant enemy, "DID YOU JUST SPIT ON MY ISLAND!? That's it I-"

"Tails! Rouge! I need air support!" Sonic interrupted his echidna friend as he tossed Silver the chaos emerald. The white hedgehog took the six emeralds in hand, spiraling around him using his telekinetic powers.

Your ears flicked behind you as you heard a strange whistling noise... Your eyes widened, "LOOK OUT!"

A massive horde of Zombots had just been launched up onto Angel Island with a hefty throw from Zavok! The group huddled close together to protect Silver with the emeralds.

You, Sonic, Tails, Amy, Whisper, Rouge, Espio, Metal Sonic, and even Eggman prepared themselves. Knuckles grounded as he punched the air, "Ghaaa! Why do you keep bringing trouble to MY ISLAND!?"

The rustic shadows of an infected Vector, Tangle... and Shadow, stepped forwards. Sonic jumped ahead of the group, unafraid as he was already infected, "I've got a plan. You've just got to trust me."

You glanced between your intruders and Knuckles who began shaking with rage, "mmmMMMAAAAAAAA You better or I'M GOING TO HAUNT YOU!" The red echidna raced forwards, punching Shadow straight in the face!

You and Sonic cried out after him as he pressed his attack, defending his island home with honor! Knuckles turned back to face the group as he guarded from Shadow, "Go save the day already!"Regretfully, Sonic looked to Silver and took off, "You heard the man. Let's go Silver! You too (Y/n)!"

Here we go!!! The finale is about to commence! Should (Y/n) join Sonic to grab the emerald??? Or stay back to help protect Angel Island???
