《Fall》Chapter Seven

"Annie was acting weird yesterday when she came over...." Mikasa said sticking her fork into her salad, "She almost pushed me down the stairs but then she tried to apologize about it." That got everyone's attention.
"Annie? The blonde short girl, Annie? The one always trying to push me down the stairs? That Annie?" Eren asked in disbelief.
"Yes. When she came over she looked...scared...like she had to be there because her life depended on it. And her hands had bruises on them and were red. Plus she had a black eye. And she tried to tell me she fell down a hill." Mikasa twirled the fork around in her salad instead of eating it.
"I'm okay with that." Eren said taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Me too, honestly." Armin said.
"Same." Connie and Sasha said together.
Mikasa stayed silent. Eren noticed, "Dont tell me you're starting to like her..." Mikasa shook her head, "No...but I am a little worried about her." She looked up and around the cafeteria, "She was here earlier. Did she leave again?" She asked.
Reiner nodded, "She skipped lunch to work on the project." He said. Everyone looked up at each other. Annie would never do something like that.

Mikasa sat at her desk on her lap top in her black tank top and red shorts. She scrolled through her Pintrest feed. One hand on the mouse, the other clicking a pen. The house was quiet except for the clicking for the pen.
Suddenly there was a banging on we door. She jumped at the loud noise. It took her heart a minute to calm down but when it did she grabbed a grey sweater and quickly ran down the stairs to the front door. Even halfway down the stairs the knocking was still going on.

"Coming!" She yelled, "Calm down..." She almost tripped when she missed the last step on her stairs but quickly regained her balance.
When she reached the door she opened it to a very frightened looking Annie Leonhardt. She pushed past Mikasa and closed the door once she was inside. She locked the door and stared at it trying to calm her heart rate.
Her eyes dropped after a minute of staring at the door. The girl slowly turned around and trudged past Mikasa and to the stairs. The dark haired girl followed to help the blonde up the stairs. She didn't care if she refused. She looked worse than yesterday.
"I don't need your help." She croaked. Mikasa ignored her and our Annie's arm around her shoulder and pretty much dragged her up the stairs. Much to Mikasa's surprise not only was she letting her help her, she was clinging on to her.
"What happened to you?" Mikasa asked as they reached the top of the stairs.
"That's not your business." Annie's head was hung low.
Mikasa sighed, "Why are you so stubborn? I can't help you if you won't tell me what happened."
Annie didn't look up at her, "Maybe I don't want your help."
She rolled her eyes and opened the door to her room. She carried Annie to her bed and let her sit down.
"I don't get you, Annie Leonhardt." Mikasa stood over the girl who would never take her eyes off the ground. Her hair hung over her face, her hands gripped the side of the bed. "I know something in your life must be going on but the thing is, you take your anger out on everyone. I'm long to go get you some water. Want anything else?" She asked making her way to the door. She put her hand on the door knob and looked back at Annie who hadn't moved. She shrugged and walked out closing the door behind her.

"But did she ever notice I almost never take my anger out on her physically like I do with everyone else?" Annie asked herself out loud. She stood and stumbled to the door. She went to the bathroom that was in the middle of the hallway between Eren and Mikasa's rooms.
Annie walked inside and began her search for a towel. When she finally found one she turned the shower on and undressed.
Meanwhile Mikasa was walking back upstairs with the water for Annie. She heard the water running in the bathroom and knocked on the door, "Annie?" There was no answer. But Mikasa could hear the faint sound of crying. She opened the door a little and looked at the ground where Annie's old clothes lied. She walked in and took the clothes from the ground then walked out with out letting Annie know she was there.
She walked back to her room and threw the clothes into her laundry basket then grabbed a pair that wasn't covered in dirt and sweat. She put the clothes in the bathroom for Annie to have something clean to change into.
After that she went back down stairs to make both of them something to eat.

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!
