Abby's POV

I felt Stu shifting in his sleep and I awoke to bright sunlight filling the room. I looked at the clock. 8:20.

8:20.

School starts at 8:30.

We overslept.

"STU GET UP!!" I yelled at him as I scrambled out of bed.

I quickly changed into clothes for school and ran into the bathroom to put on some makeup and brush my teeth.

I came back into my room; Stu was still asleep.

"STUART!!"

"Shut up! I'm trying to sleep..."

"STU IT'S 8:24! GET THE FUCK UP!"

His eyes shot open and he looked at the digital clock on my nightstand.

"SHIT!"

"Go get something from my brother's closet to wear. I'll go start the car. Hurry please!"

I ran out of my bedroom door, down the stairs, and out the front door, grabbing my shoes and backpack on my way out. Stu came running out about a minute after me.

8:26.

"Buckle up." I said as I started backing out of the driveway. I went way over the speed limit.

8:27.

Thankfully school was only about 5 minutes from my house, 3 if I really punched it.

8:29

I parked in the school parking lot and grabbed my backpack, which I had flung into the backseat. Stu got out of the passengers side as I got out of the drivers side and we both walked into school.

Thankfully we weren't the last ones in the building.

We made it.

After second period, I walked with Stu to my locker.

"I can't believe we actually made it on time today." I said to Stu laughing.

"Yeah you and your crazy driving." Stu replied.

"I'm not that bad of a driver."

I saw Sidney coming over to us. Thankfully Sidney's locker was on the right, next to mine, so I got to see her in between each class.

"Hey Abby. Hey Stu," she said, "Where were you guys this morning?"

"Overslept." Stu and I said in unison. I smiled at him.

"Hey Sid. Hey Abby. Hey Stu." Tatum was walking over to us now, heading to her locker on the left of mine.

"Guess what happened to Sidney last night."

"What happened to Sidney last night?" I responded to Tatum.

"She got attacked by Billy. And then he got taken to the police station where Sidney punched Gale Weathers in the face."

"Oh my gosh, Sid. Are you sure you're okay? God, I can't believe all this stuff is happening to you." I was trying my best to be sincere because I really did feel bad for Sidney, but it's hard when you know exactly who is causing all of this to happen.

"I don't want you getting attacked again Sid. I want you all to meet me right here after school, okay?" Tatum said.

"I guess we're all Sidney's bodyguards now." Stu joked.

Stu started messing around with stuff in my locker as Tatum and Sidney talked. I listened closely to what they were saying.

"Hey, I haven't seen Billy around. Is he really pissed?" Sidney asked.

"Oh, you mean after you branded him the candyman? No, his heart's broken." Stu responded to Sidney. I lightly punched him in the chest for saying that; he is so clueless sometimes.

Suddenly a student wearing the full ghost face costume ran down the halls. Right past Sidney, Tatum, Stu, and I. Sidney visibly became more stressed.

Stu was laughing and I was trying to hide my laughter from Sidney.

"Why are they doing this?" Sidney asked in a very worried tone.

"Are you kidding me? This place is like Christmas." Stu responded to Sidney.

Tatum rolled her eyes at Stu, "Stupidity leak!" Tatum started hitting Stu on the forehead with the cherry lollipop she was previously sucking on.

"Ow. Easy."

Sidney began walking away, I called after her, "Sidney!"

"Stu you can be so unsympathetic sometimes. I don't understand how you put up with him Abby." Tatum said.

"I have my ways." I looked up at Stu, smiling. He smiled back.

"Well, I'll see you guys after school okay?" Tatum started walking away from us, "Make sure to check up on Sid sometime today, I know this week has been really hard for her."

"Will do. See ya Tatum." I quickly said before she got too far.

Stu and I had English together, so we started making our way to Ms. Capulet's class.

"I'm throwing a party tonight," Stu said.

"A party? With a killer on the loose? We could get killed!" I joked with Stu.

"Yeah sure we will. Im inviting you, Billy, Sidney, Tatum, Randy, various other people."

"Sounds good to me. Don't tell Sidney or Tatum that you're inviting Billy though. Sidney seems pretty mad at him right now and I don't want her to bail on the party just because he's there."

"Alright.." Stu stopped talking for a minute.

"We might try to kill Sidney tonight. I still have to talk to Billy, but he really wants to do it tonight at the party."

I stopped breathing when he said that, "Tonight?"

"Yeah."

"Oh my god."

"You knew it was going to happen. It's Maureen's one year anniversary tomorrow. Billy wants to kill Sidney one year after Maureen was killed, remember?"

"Yes, I know. I just can't believe this all has happened so fast. I don't know if I can kill Sidney."

"That's fine. Billy really wants to do it anyways, so you and I can stay out of it."

"That did not relieve any of my stress."

"It'll be fine. We'll be fine." Stu said, trying to reassure me, as we walked into Ms. Capulet's classroom.
