Shiro and the paladins had just gotten back from a small scouting mission which Allura had called them back early from.

Allura called Shiro to meet her in his room, which he thought was odd.

But, once he saw why, he understood.

Allura was waiting with you resting on her hip. You had been abandoned and Allura found you.

But out of all the people in the castle, Shiro was the only one she deemed capable to take care of you.

Shiro looked at you when he entered his room. "Oh... where did you find him/her?" He asked walking over.

"He/She was abandoned in an escape pod. I think you are the one best qualified to care for him/her." She said passing you to him as she left.

You teared up once you were in Shiro's arms, and he took notice of that.

"Hey, it's alright." He said softly as he rubbed your back, holding you close.

Despite his comfort you started to cry softly. Mumbled words were heard as you cried for you mother and father.

Shiro hummed softly, starting to sing as he continued to try and console you. "Lavender blue

Once the song ended you were completely calm, contently sucking your thumb. "There we are." He smiled.

You relaxed in his arm as he gently rocked you heading over to his bed.

"Now, I think I'll name you.. Y/N since I don't know what your birth name is." He smiled and laid down with you on his chest.

You sucked on your thumb and listened to his heart beat, slowly lulling you to sleep.

Not long after Shiro fell asleep with you.

And little did either of you know that the team was watching from the door as you two sleep.

"I told you, he's a perfect dad." Pidge smiled.
