《The Bad Maid (Completed)》Chapter 13. Attraction

As the week came to an end, Helena realized that she wouldn't have practice with Mr. Reider until after the weekend. Even so, she couldn't help herself from having an eye out for him on Friday during her cleaning duties.
She sheepishly picked up a Saturday shift from one of her coworkers just to see him again, especially when she saw that the responsibilities were tending to the master bedroom.
When she headed to the mansion the next morning, she was surprised to see that Madame Lidiya was the only one in the room.
"Oh, strange to find you here Helena. I thought you had weekends off?"
"I do," Helena added quickly, "it's just uh...I thought I could get a little extra cash before moving into my new room."
"Ah, that's smart. Did they say when that'd be?"
"Hopefully by Monday if all goes well." She smiled and then glanced around the room. "Are the Daville's still asleep?"
"The misses had to leave early for meeting. Mr. Daville should be in office to start work soon."
"Oh okay. Do I just go upstairs and start with the bedroom or?"
"Do you remember what you're supposed to do there?"
"Yes ma'am!" Helena nodded and hurried up the stairs.
She went for the guest room but then glanced at the master bedroom. "I guess it would be wise to grab the sheets from this room first but..." There could be a chance that he's inside his room...
Helena contemplated it for a moment before wandering over to the main bedroom. She knocked on the door lightly before saying, "Hello? Is anyone in here?"
No answer.
"Maybe he's already started working." She said and she let herself in. After looking around the room, she let out a small groan of disappointment when she found it empty. "I'm too late. He's probably already in his office." It was only a few doors down but there would be no reason for her to go over there.
"Well I better get started then." She walked over to the giant king sized bed. The blankets were pulled down from both corners and ruffled in the middle. She went to pull them back up to make it easier to yank off the bed and when she did, there was a long sleeved shirt underneath the blanket.

"Oh it's!"
It was one of his shirts. She picked the charcoal colored shirt up. "What should I do with this? Is it dirty or clean?" Her heart stopped for a moment. She brought it up to her face slowly. "Mmm...it smells like it was just washed. Maybe it fell out of one of the maids baskets this morning." She closed her eyes and imagined him in her mind. "Mmm...if only I got to have you for one day..." She whispered and gently kissed the collar of the shirt.
The door to her left suddenly opened up and steam flooded out. Helena turned around in shock, clutching onto the shirt in fear as someone walked into the room.
"Mr. Reid-" Helena gasped and her jaw dropped. Her entire face turned red by the second as Liam walked out his wife's bathroom topless with black slacks.
"Oh Helena, what are you doing here?" He asked surprised. "I don't recall you having work during the weekends."
"I-I-I picked up a shift!" She stuttered, turning around.
"Is something the matter?" He looked over her before peering down at her hands. "Oh is that my shirt? May I have it?"
"Sure!" She nodded and passed it to him without facing him.
"Oh that reminds me." He started and walked past her towards the nightstand while still holding the shirt.
The scent of his body wash along with his cologne brushed by her and when he bent down to grab something, his chest was mere inches from her. It was taking Helena everything not to jump him on the bed right now.
"There was this interesting note I came across that I couldn't understand. Could you help me with it?" He asked.
"Sure, which one is it?" She offered without trying to shamelessly stare down his neck to his chest.
He stood in front of her and handed her a sheet. "This one here." He pointed.
"Oh that's a simple C note, yeah that can get a bit...confusing..." She paused as he started to put the shirt on in front of her, one sleeve at a time and then buttoning it up. "It's...on the D string and you use three...fingers..." As he adjusted the collar, his thumb ran over the spot her lips touched. "And...pinky..."

"That does sound a bit complicated. You'll have to show me sometime." He said, adjusting the wrists of his shirt. "But you have to excuse me. I have to get to work now."
"Oh yes of course Mr-I mean Liam."
"Atta girl." He winked and headed out the room.
Helena stood there lost in a daze after he left before finally exhaling. "Alright get a grip girl. That was a lot more than we bargained for but we got work to do."
Though, her mind continued to replay what she saw over and over while she worked on her chores.
She eventually came across him again inside the kitchen preparing lunch after she finished washing the bed sheets. Helena offered to make it for him, but he told her that it was a dish she probably wouldn't be familiar with making.
Without hesitation, she asked if he could show her like before, using it as an excuse to be closer to him. He took the lead, and she stood by his side watching him add ingredients into a pot. She found herself gazing at him, staring at his features like a love sick teen. When it was done, he offered her a plate and they ended up chatting merrily at the dining table about the many places he vacationed to.
Later that day, she found him outside the main courtyard sitting by the fountain and reading a book. She was going to leave him be but she couldn't help but to admire him from afar. She must have been doing it for too long because he eventually looked up and saw her. She felt embarrassed, her whole face lit up but he smiled and waved for her to come over. She nervously walked over and sat on his right side asking what book he was reading.
"It's called Honored Enemy and it's about a military company which operates behind enemy lines, but ends up getting trapped by them and they try to survive through the winter. Enough about me though, I'm sure you're excited about your room on Monday."
"I am! Thanks again so much for saving it for me Liam."
"Don't worry about it, it's for all your efforts and hard work. You earned it." He smiled and gently patted her thigh.
Helena's heart jumped. She stared down at his hand, unblinkingly as her face went red as a tomato. She gazed back up at him and she could feel her heart starting to race as he inched closer towards her. She couldn't move but her gaze lowered to his lips as they got closer and closer.
The sound of the main gate screeching open made her jump back. When they looked over they saw Mrs. Daville walked through it.
"We'll there's my other half." He patted Helena twice on her thigh, a little higher than before and then gave it a squeeze. We'll talk more next time Helena." He winked and walked off towards his wife.
Helena could see the scowl on his wife's face directed at her but she sighed and stared down at her lap while trying not to fan herself. "That's fine...that needed to happen...Wow."
When she looked to her left, she noticed that he left his book behind.
"Lia-I mean, Mr. Daville-"
They already had their hand on the doorknob before disappearing inside together.
"I guess I have to give it to him tomorrow then."
