《Her alpha mate (Complete)✔️》Chapter One

Rouges. I instantly smell them, their sickening stench overwhelms me and I almost gag. I mind link my beta Daniel whilst out on a run in my wolf form.
Dan?
What's up, Luna?
Rouges, they're by the boarder
Shit! I'll get some warriors ready tail em.
I'm already doing that get the warriors here sharpish!
I tune him out and tag along the rouges trail swiftly reaching a Clearing I see dozens of them. Shit. I make sure to stay hidden, covered by the undergrowth of the woods. I smell a familiar pine wood scent and realise it's Daniel with the Warriors.
When I say we attack, leave one alive for interrogation.
Dan nods his head and scans the clearing for the right way to attack.
We should split there is fourteen of us including the Luna and I, so eight should go left and eight should go right. I'll head straight, will you cover me, Luna?
I nod and turn to face the rouges they haven't shifted so they'll be easy to kill off, they're probably to sick to be able to shift into their wolf forms. I growl lowly and pounce on the nearest rouge signalling the advance.
The rouge screams as I bite into his leg and tear it open whilst the Warriors flank both sides of the clearing tearing into every rouge they see. I hear a howl as Dan fights with a pretty nasty rouge who has shifted into a dirty brown wolf, he has him pinned to the floor and is biting his shoulder. I paw at the rouge beneath me and in an instant he is dead. I leave his carcass and tackle the rouge attacking Daniel.
He howls and flips me off his back I sprawl across the ground and growl as I get back up onto all fours. I snarl viciously and charge him baring my fangs I latch onto his neck and roughly rip his flesh, he growls and tries to roll to shake me off but Dan stops him by biting his leg. I raise my eyes and see the rouges are all dead and this one is the only one alive.

Selma? I mind link one of the Warriors.
Yes, Luna?
We need to get back to the pack house and this mess cleaned up, can you help me?
Of course I'll gouge his eyes that way he won't be able to see.
Easy, the optical nerve is connected to the brain if that gets severed there is no point in him being interrogated.
Humph... Fine I'll knock him out and get the pack cleaners here those omegas should have this place cleaned up within no time.
Thank you.
I tune out of the link and hold he rouge in place whilst Selma pads over to us before knocking him out, his body slumps to the ground. I release him and go to the nearest tree I can find and grab some loose fitting track pants, a black t-shirt and some running shoes in my jaws before changing into my human form behind a rather tall tree trunk and pull on the clothes I grabbed from the tree.
"Luna, we've gotten the omegas here they're cleaning the clearing as we speak and Dominic and Shelley have tied the rouge down and are escorting him to the dungeon." Selma tells me. I nod and head back to the clearing with her and see Daniel with his back to me he's speaking to an omega and I notice the wound on his back is deep. He's wearing shorts with no shoes and no top so his muscles bulge under his skin.
"You should get that checked by the pack doctor when we reach the pack house". I say, he waves the omega off and turns to look at me a small smile playing on the corners of his mouth.
"I'm fine Luna... I mean Lauren" he corrects himself at the look I shoot him.

"Don't make me repeat myself, you really need to get that checked out". I say firmly, he nods and drops the matter as we head back to the pack house with the Warriors.
At the pack house in greeted by my mum and dad who hug me tightly, I return the embrace before pulling away. "Guys I'm fine we've got one in the dungeon, where's Thomas and Angelica?" I ask them. Thomas and Angelica have been my best friends since preschool, they mean everything to me besides my parents.
"At our place, they're waiting there for you". My mum says, I thank her before turning on my heel and head to my house.
I reach my house and unlock the door heading inside, I see Angelica and Thomas cuddling on the couch. Jesus Christ! I sneak over to the couch and jump over it and laugh at their priceless faces. "Shit!, Lauren you scare the hell outta me!" Thomas says his eyes wide and his heart erratically racing.
"I noticed, it's good to see you guys after all I'm quite busy and haven't had time for you guys, which I'm sorry for". I say sincerely. Thomas grins and ruffles my hair I scowl at him whilst he laughs evilly with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"That's payback, Luna". He says tauntingly. Damnit he knows I hate it when he calls me that! I mean, it's my title and all but my friends shouldn't have to call me by my title. Fuck respect. I pounce on him and Angelica shrieks and swiftly moves away from us.
"Take that back!" I yell. Thomas just smiles and shakes his head. I growl lowly as my ears elongate and my canines become longer, I lean down and grip the skin of his neck between my teeth; he freezes and I hear his heart thrumming in his chest.
I take it back, I'm sorry Lauren..." He mutters, I release him and breathe deeply, calming myself. Angelica is instantly next Thomas checking him over. "I'm fine Angel it's ok". He tells her and she nuzzles him closely.
Wish I could have that... I thought as I watched my best friends who by the way are also mates, lovingly cuddle as they watched the tv. "Look, I'm sorry I gotta cut this short but I've gotta interrogate that rouge". I tell them they nod in understanding, I get up off the couch and head out the door.

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
