(Lauren's Pov)

I awoke to Sam's scent enveloping me. I looked through half closed lashes as he was staring at me worriedly. "What?" I mumble and try to sit up but a machine beeping makes me sit down again.

"I'm so glad you're awake! I thought you wouldn't come around..." He trails off and I feel his hand on my stomach.

"The baby's ok, the moon goddess protected it, and it's because Charlie is an oracle... I wasn't out for that long you know." I say and watch as Sam's face falls.

"Lauren, you've been in a coma for eight months..." Eight months... That leaves me with a month left before I have the baby...

"What should we name the baby?" I ask and Sam frowns before his face clears and his features light up.

"Alice" he says and I beam at him.

"Alice, is perfect". I say and kiss him gently.

(A month later Lauren's pov)

I cradle Alice in my arms and kiss her lightly on the forehead as I rock her to sleep. "Are you ok?" Sam asks coming to sit beside me on the couch.

"Yeah, I'm fine just tired" I say truthfully. "She woke up crying and I found her in her crib, she was floating." I say as Sam chuckles lowly. "It's not funny! She could get hurt!" I whisper hiss at him.

"I'm sorry, babe you should sleep I'll watch her" he says and I let him take her from my arms and watch in awe as she snuggles in to him, contentment washing over her face.

"How do you do that?!" I whisper yell as a grin spreads over his features.

"Do what, calm get down? I guess it's just a dad thing" he says smirking.

"Sure it is" I say and head up the stairs collapsing into bed as my lids grow heavy...
