As I slowly opened my eyes, everything started to rotate. My vision was blurry and my eyes strained. Groaning in pain, I clenched my eyes shut again. When I opened my eyes again, I saw a beautiful girl with short brown hair looking at me with concern.
She ran to the door and whisper-yelled. "Adrien, She's awake."
I tried to get up and she came back to me and gave me some water. I tried to smile at her and gulped down the water before thanking her.
"Hi. I'm Brianne. Adrien's friend." She hesitantly introduced herself and I nodded. Adrien barged into the room and looked at me sternly. Sighing, he came closer and sat by me on the bed. His stern expression suddenly looked guilty.
"How are you feeling?" He asked softly.
Gathering some energy, I mumbled. "Weak."
"Of course. That's what happens when you don't eat anything for three whole days." I didn't say anything and simply looked down at my hands. "Lily has cooked the food, I'll get it here for you." He was about to get up but Brianne stopped her.
"I'll get it. You should stay." She said to him and walked out before glancing at me.
"That's Brie, by the way." Adrien said as she left.
Brie. I think I have heard that name before.

I looked up at him with a small frown. "Your ex?" I asked and he gave a small nod.
What was she doing here? Adrien had told me that she cheated on him with Alan Marshall and then ran away. Then why was she here in Adrien's house?
"There's a lot you have to catch up to. Turns out that she never betrayed me. It was Sophie who had framed her." He said with a clenched jaw. When his face shows clear anger but his voice stays calm, it scares the crap out of me.
She hadn't betrayed her and now she is back. I felt a pang in my chest. Is this why he wanted a divorce? Because his real love was back. Millions of thoughts began running inside my head. He was going to leave me.
Adrien was about to choose his first love over me, his contractual wife.
Tears formed in my eyes but I held them back. I didn't raise my head to look at him. Not even when he squeezed my hand under his.

"Have some food. We'll talk about everything else later." I heard him.
"Did you eat?" I asked him, trying to divert my mind.
"Obviously. In fact, I ate double of what I mostly do. Food is my therapy." I chuckled at him. Adrien and his food.
I wish I could cook for him once again. One last time.
Brie knocked on the door and came in with a tray of food in her hand. Adrien took it from her and placed it on my lap. "Finish it all then take those medicines." I nodded at him and looked down at the food.
"Adrien, can you come out for a minute." Brie softly told him. I look up at them. Brie looked at him with hopeful eyes. Adrien glanced at me and mouthed 'I'll be back' before getting up and leaving with her.
Now was the time. Adrien would ask me to get out of his life. Everything between us would finish.
I couldn't stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks. This was so wrong. I shouldn't be so upset about it when I knew that this thing between us had to come to an end.
It was my fault that I fell in love with him.
I couldn't take a bite of the food kept in front of me. Gathering my emotions, I stepped down the bed and walked near the door. I could hear the low sounds of Adrien and Brie and I slowly opened it without making a noise. As I peeked out, Brie had her arms wrapped around Adrien's neck while Adrien leaned in her embrace with his hands circling her waist. Just like he held me numerous times.
Their words were clearer now and I stood there with my back leaning to the adjacent wall. Eavesdropping on them was wrong but I wanted to hear him say it.
I knew it would pierce through my heart but it was better than breaking down in front of him when he would tell me that he wanted to end things between us.
Along with my silent sobs, I heard Brie sobbing too. "I never stopped loving you, Adrien." I heard her say. "Even though all this time I thought that you left me, I couldn't get over you."
"I know what happened was unfair, Brie. You have no idea how hard it was for me after you were gone and if I had known the truth earlier, I would have fought the whole world for you."

Leave, Crystal. Go back. You know you cannot hear it.
I stood frozen at the place despite my brain yelling at me.
"But it's too late now." There was silence for a few seconds. I held my breath, waiting for Adrien to continue. "I am with someone I want to be with."
What?!
"I am with the girl who makes me feel alive. Who makes me feel special. I am with my wife and I cannot leave her."
I couldn't believe my ears. It was like a dream. I wanted to cry out of happiness and jump in Adriens arms. I wanted to kiss him like there was no tomorrow. I wanted to scream and tell him that I loved him.
I couldn't pay any attention to the rest of their conversation. Lost in my thoughts, I ran inside the bathroom and took a breath of relief. As I wiped my tears, a small smile graced my face when I recalled Adrien's words.
He really chose me. He wasn't going to leave me.
I brushed my teeth and washed up to feel fresh and a few minutes later when I came back out, Adrien was in the room.
"You didn't even take a bite of your food, what have you been doing?" He asked me.
"I wanted to freshen up before eating." I told him. He came up to me and took my hand in his. "You're done right, now eat." He began to pull me near the bed but I stopped him. When he turned towards me, I threw myself in his embrace. He stilled for a second, then wrapped his hands around me and leaned in.
"I missed you." I whispered. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." He mumbled against my hair. We pulled apart and I looked up in his eyes. I had craved so much to see that blue shade of them. He held my face between his palms and kissed my forehead.
"I'm sorry, Crys. I'm really sorry that I made you cry so much." There was disappointment in himself in his eyes. "When I saw those pictures, I lost my mind and I let Sophie manipulate me. I'm sorry for not listening to you."
"Did you really want me to divorce you?" I asked.
"Hell no. I thought that since you and Evan had feelings for each other so I could free you with the divorce. It was stupid thing I did on impulse."
"There's nothing going on. Evan was drunk and had-" I tried to explain but he interrupted me.
"I know what happened, Crys. Evan told me." My eyes turned wide at that. Evan did? "Please tell me that you didn't sign those papers."
"I didn't." I grinned.
"Thank god. Now have the food before you faint again." Once again, I stopped him from walking and pulled him back by grabbing his collar. Without a warning, I pressed my lips on his.
He didn't waste a second and reciprocated the kiss, sucking on my lips and biting them wildly. His eagerness and passion told me that he had craved me just as much as I did. We pulled apart to breathe for a couple of seconds. When Adrien tried kissing me again, I moved my face back to tease him. He looked up at me in confusion and I innocently said, "I'm hungry."
He glared at me then we both burst into laughter. Pecking my lips one last time, he pulled me towards the bed and this time, I let him. After eating a bit, when I said I was full, he forcefully fed me the whole food and I wouldn't lie, I liked being pampered by him.
After I had eaten and taken my medicine, we laid together on the bed while watching a movie.
"Crys." Adrien called.
"Hm?"
"Dad's friend, Mr. Olsen has opened a resort in Bali and he wants our hotel company to collaborate with him. He wants me to visit the resort before we finalize the deal." He told me.
"So you're going to Bali?" He nodded. My face fell at that. Staying away from his for three days was enough torture. "For how long?" I asked.
"Maybe four days." I looked and sighed before nodding. I wasn't going to hold him back from doing his work.
"But, you don't have to miss me." He said, leaning closer.
"How can I not?" I sadly pouted.
"By coming to Bali with me."
