"Draco, what are you doing?" You asked. He smiled at you, oh that damn smile. "I'm just sitting next to my favourite slytherin girl, can't I do that?" You felt your cheeks turn into a bright shade of red. "Ofcourse you can, but I swear to god, if Pansy is going to make my life a living hell because of this, I-" you couldn't finish your sentence because Professor Snape walked in the room. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Draco smile, or was it more like a smirk? Before you could decide professor Snape stood in front of you. "Miss Y/L/N would you like to repeat what I just said". You looked at him and gave him your best smile "I'm sorry sir I can not, I will pay better attention from now on". Snape didn't even answer, he made some sort of grumpy sound and backed off. Thank god he didn't take any house points. Draco leaned in closer and said "kiss ass". You glared at him "at least he didn't take any house points off, asshole" Draco smiled again. Why did he always smile when you were mean to him?

After the class ended you walked to the library straight away. Snape had given you a lot of homework to do and you did not want to fall behind. After two hours of hard work, your work was done. When you were finally in the common room again, you saw that Draco and his gang had taken over the couch. You walked towards the stairs to go see if your friends were upstairs in the girls room. Before you could even set one foot up the stairs Draco called out to you. "Where have you been for so long, we almost have to get ready for dinner". You looked at him and raised your eyebrows. "Excuse me?" Draco laughed a little, "I asked where you were for so long". You raised your eyebrows a bit further, what was this boy thinking? "Why do you want to know? Besides I don't think it's any of your business". Draco stood up and all of a sudden he was only a few inches away. "I want to know, because I want to and it is my business, since I'm the slytherin Prince" you could not help but laugh in his face. This only seemed to amuse him even more. "Okay Draco, so let me get this clear, first you sit next to me in class and call me a kiss ass, second you want to know where I've been? For the only reason that you just want to know?" Draco nodded. You just scoffed and backed away to the girls room. "Entitled prick"

At dinner Draco kept staring at you, it made you nervous. But you didn't know if you were nervous because Draco was hot, or because it's always something with this guy. "Y/N?....Y/N??!" You snapped out of your trance and looked at your friends. "What? I'm sorry I was .. thinking, what did you say?" Your friends all looked at you and laughed. "Why is Draco constantly staring at you?" You didn't know how to respond. "I'm trying to figure it out myself actually". When you looked back at Draco he was still staring, this time he winked. You felt yourself turn red and you hated it, mostly because he smiled again, right after he saw it.

After dinner you still had more than an hour before bed time, so you decided to go sit by the lake. It always cleared your head. This time though, you didn't have much time to clear it before you heard footsteps behind you. "Oh god, Draco! Can you please leave me alone?" You heard his laugh, he had a cute laugh. "Why?" You looked at him, only to find out he was already staring at you. "Because all day you have been on my back, and I just don't know why. It's driving me crazy." "You drive me crazy, I think I like you Y/N. As in more than friends". He grabbed your hand and intertwined it in his. You were speechless, for the first time in your life you did not know what to say. "It's okay if you don't feel the same". Draco started to let go of your hand. "No! Wait! I think I like you too, but before I can really say it, I want to get to know you better". Draco grabbed your hand again. "I get that, want to start now? You can ask me anything you want".

The first thing you asked him was why he liked you. He told you that he loved that you didn't let him walk all over you. After that night, you and Draco had a lot of these talks. Slowly but steady you two fell in love.
