Blair could barely comprehend the sudden rush of people and the collective sounds of apparition that popped in all directions. People pushed and shoved; screaming and terrified from being caught by the impending Death Eaters that were seconds away from infiltrating the tent. Kingsley's Patronus had faded into nothing and the lights had been relit, but it caused chaos once the booming words of Shacklebolt disappeared. Tables and chairs were overturned and the Order tried to create some sort of barrier around the tent to keep outsiders out. They had foolishly taken down the barrier that was around The Burrow in order to allow guests to arrive without suspicion. But it was all too late.
The black smokes burst through the material of the tent and immediately started stunning and jinxing anyone they saw. Those who tried to apparate away were pulled back and thrown to the ground with the Incacerous curse wrapping them in suffocating ropes. Death Eaters cackled and cheered as if it was a game; their curses causing skin to tear and cries of agony to fill the tent.
If George hadn't had his hands tightly around her forearms, Blair would have been swept away with the running crowd and probably trampled from others' carelessness. It was terrifying to see men, women and children pushed to the ground and stomped on by Death Eaters. At one point, she saw Ginny nearly trip over a fallen table of smashed wine glasses while trying to follow Charlie. But luckily, her older brother had turned around in time to pull her up and continue on their escape to The Burrow.
"You need to hide," George rushed, crouching down so that he could meet Blair's eye level. "They're here for Harry and you!"
She didn't argue despite her suspicions of the claim being partially false. She didn't believe they were here for her. If her last encounter with the nameless Death Eater went the way it did, it was highly unlikely that the ambush was to capture her for recruitment. However, this didn't mean that they would hesitate to kill her. But she let George pull her towards the exit of the tent where The Burrow could be seen outside.
"Where do you two think you're going?" the bald Death Eater stepped in their path and grinned, his crazed eyes centring on Blair. It was him, the man who had sent Charlie and her into the field before telling her the jolly story of her father's life before his death. He obviously recognised her and barely looked at George who stood next to her left. But George thought that the man was looking at Blair in a different context, making him step in front of her and push her frame behind his tall, broad one.
"Long time, no see, Rosier," he said, surprising Blair by holding a wand in his hand this time. "Done much since our last meeting?"
"You nutters really can't take a hint, can you?" George seethed while pulling his own wand out. He kept his other arm behind him to hold Blair's hand without realising that she wasn't afraid of the Death Eater. She knew why he was here and why he had stopped them in particular.
"I'm sorry, I don't think I was talking to you, bandage head," the man shot back.
George grumbled and raised his wand, shooting a purple spark out of the end. The Death Eater swiped his wand in front of his body before firing a stunning jinx; Blair only knowing what it was by the orange tinge of the magic. He also could perform nonverbal magic, making him a challenge for George and unpredictable to duel.

Looking around the tent, Blair saw that everyone who hadn't been able to escape had been lined up against the wall to their right. She saw Molly, Arthur, Bill, Fleur, Charlie, Fred and Ginny being held at wand point by three Death Eaters, with several wedding guests being backed into a corner. Members of the Delacour family rambled in French to each other before being grunted at by the sneering men around them. The tent was a mess and you wouldn't believe that a beautiful wedding ceremony had taken place only minutes ago in the same space.
"Alright, alright, no need to shove," Fred could be heard mumbling before a heavy punch was heard making contact with his cheek. A loud 'oof!' was heard and Blair could imagine Molly wanting to wallop the man who dared to lay a hand on her son.
"George. I think we should..." she trailed off, tugging at his coat to motion her head towards his family. He looked over his shoulder and gulped, knowing that if he were to defeat this one Death Eater, there would be many more to get through afterwards. And that would be risking his family's life at the same time.
Reluctantly, he lowered his wand and let the man step forward to make them join his family. Keeping his hand tightly around Blair's, he made sure that she was put next to Ginny while he stood on the end, glaring up at the bald Death Eater who had been eyeing her constantly. George didn't trust him and considering how familiar he seemed to be with Blair, he suspected they had encountered each other before.
"Where's Potter?" a gruff man asked Arthur, jabbing his wand into the side of the Weasley's head.
"We don't know. If you can't find him here, then he must have escaped," Arthur replied and made sure to give a nonchalant shrug to prove his innocence. This made Blair inch her gaze around the mess and realise that Harry, Ron and Hermione were nowhere to be seen.
"What about his friends? The Weasley and the mudblood? I suppose they escaped too?" a woman sarcastically joked, rolling her eyes.
"Oh Ronald? He'd never follow after Potter," Charlie butted in, shaking his head with a fake smile. "They had a falling out. He couldn't have gone even if he wanted to. He's got a bad case of Spattergroit. Nasty one too. Can't say the same about Granger, though."
"Show us."
"I'm sorry?"
"Show us the Spattergroit."
Charlie blinked and glanced towards Molly and Arthur, seeing hidden panic in their expressions. His spontaneous excuse had put him in a bit of a pickle. Of course they'd ask to see the diseased Ronald. Why wouldn't they? Now he had to somehow prove his lie.
"Alright then... let's just... go into the house," he cleared his throat and pointed his thumb towards The Burrow, eyes shifting around nervously.
"Just to warn you, he's highly contagious," Fred spoke up, hoping to help his brother. "I'll just head in first to secure his room. It's well bad."
The Death Eaters grumbled but let Fred head out of the tent, one following after him to ensure that he didn't try to escape. Moments later, Charlie headed off with two other Death Eaters behind him to prove his fib. Left in the tent were the Weasley parents, the newly wedded, Blair, George and Ginny. The Delacours that had been backed into a corner had been set free after they had been proved to only be guests at the wedding and had near no relation to the Weasleys. Fleur was partially upset by the remaining members of her family escaping and leaving her to fend for herself, but was soothed by her husband.

"Zhis is ridiculous!" Fleur threw her hands up and slapped them down against her beautiful dress. "My wedding ruined by zhese men! How rude!"
Ginny could be seen rolling her eyes at Fleur's ranting and the Death Eaters looked confused on what to do next. They weren't expecting to deal with a French, hard-headed bride who was constantly glaring at them for ruining her wedding day. But they kept their wands high and watched the groom tell her that everything was fine and they were, at the very least, married and bonded for life at last.
On the other end of the line, Blair watched as the bald Death Eater stared at her with his same smug grin. He knew that she wanted to hear more about her family but was restricted by the presence of the Weasleys. She had purposely kept their encounter a secret as it was a personal issue about her family. There was no need to drag the others into this. Besides, George was bound to step in and try to stop her from digging any deeper into her family's past. He always used the fact that she now had a family that were good and valued people over blood status and standards. He wouldn't understand her desire.
"You're practically buzzing, Rosier," the man commented, juggling his wand between each hand. "Eager to learn? Shall I pull up a chalkboard?"
Blair bit her tongue. She knew the Weasleys were staring at her and questioning what in the world the man was talking about. Her boyfriend's, now fiance's, stare was the strongest and she was afraid to turn her head to be caught in it. He would be furious that she didn't tell him and at this point, that was inevitable.
"I'll give you this-" he continued and put his hands on his knees to meet her height, making her feel like a child being talked to by an adult. "-Yaxley's house was in Barnton. It was where you father set up his potion storage. Find that, you'll get your answers."
And with that, Charlie and Fred reappeared in the tent with their pursuers behind them. The Death Eaters looked to each other before disappearing into fogs of smoke. They shot through the roof of the tent and left The Burrow completely, taking their tense and chest-heavy atmosphere with them. It would have been relieving if Blair hadn't been left completely exposed in her negligence.
The Order members that had previously hid during the commotion appeared to help with the cleanup and Charlie and Fred told everyone that they were able to disguise the ghoul in the loft as Ron with severe Spattergriot. The green, bubbly shape of the ghoul somehow connected with something in the Death Eaters' tiny brains and believed that it was indeed the second youngest Weasley. Fred attempted to crack a joke with his twin, but was left with a view of his bandaged gruesome wound on the side of his head.
"What happened?" Fred decided to ask once he noticed that George was staring down at Blair with raised eyebrows. Blair gulped and finally turned to her staring finace, seeing his eyes craving for an explanation.
"Yeah Blair, what happened?" George prompted, condescension hinted in his tone.
"Erm... shall we go inside for a cup of tea?" Blair suggested while laughing nervously.
---
"You're telling me that a Death Eater told you that your father, Evan Rosier, was working on some monumental potion that could make You Know Who's army invincible or something?"
"... Yes."
"And you didn't tell us?!"
"... No."
George groaned and rubbed his hands down his face, wincing when his fingertips got too close to his wound. He, Fred and Blair sat at the dining table in the late evening while countless letters were being sent to today's wedding guests to apologise about the ending of the reception. Molly was duplicating her writing while transfiguring all sorts of objects in the house into owls. Errol would never be able to deliver that many letters across England and France. The poor thing would die before he'd get to his second household.
"What am I going to do with you, Blair?" he moaned and stared at her, putting his crossed arms on the table to show his irritation.
"Sorry," she mumbled. "But it was to do with my father. You know how I am with my family."
"So you think he was creating some sort of resurrection stone? Like from the tale of The Three Brothers? But like in potion form? Or an immortality potion?" Fred listed his questions. He didn't care that Blair withheld the information about her encounter with the Death Eater. He was more intrigued by the mystery potion Blair's father had been working on. This relieved Blair as someone else seemed to view the situation in a similar way to her.
"I can't see You Know Who wanting anything other than that," Blair shrugged, avoiding looking at George for long periods of time. "A potion to bring someone back from the dead or just cheat death altogether could make him and his army unbeatable."
"Nevermind that!" George butted, seeing that the conversation was straying from its main topic. "Baldy obviously told you about your father so that you can seek out his work for him! It's a trap! They're just using you!"
"I know that!" she tried to match his tone before bringing it down to a sensible one. "But they're bound to work out what and where it is sometime. If I can find it first and make sure that they won't take it from me, we'll have the advantage."
"Blair..." George sighed. "This is insane. You're walking right into this!"
"Don't be such a downer, Georgie," Fred butted in. "Blair's right. The snake git wants anything that'll make him better. There's no way he won't try to follow us if we try looking for it. But it doesn't mean we can't defend ourselves. Ronald has gone off with Harry and Granger to do something that's bound to be life-threatening. Why can't we? Come on, mate, have you forgotten who we are? We always take risks!"
Blair perked up when Fred said 'us' when referring to the search for her father's potion. It meant that Fred was willing to come with her and support her for the 'mission'. It was only George who needed convincing and Blair thought that Fred's motivational speech was perfect. Considering the loud sigh that left his mouth and the return of warmth in his brown irises, George was convinced as well.
"Why do we always do things like this? I'm going to get grey hairs by Christmas, I swear."
