"my sister came over today. she was crying, saying her girlfriend had just broken up with her. she said i was the only person she could come to, which made her cry harder because it reminded her that our parents think of her as a whole different species. really, they never minded her sexuality as long as they couldn't see it. she never brought her girlfriends home, she never even talked about them. so when she had a break up, she always came to me. always. but when she stopped crying, she asked how i was doing... god, i cried so hard... i cried even harder when she saw my wrists... eventually though, when i ran out of tears, she stood up and got a walmart sack. i asked what she was doing, but she didn't respond. then, i watched as she got every blade she could find, anything i could use against myself, put it in the bag, gave me hug, and left with the bag still in her hands."
