《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Forty Three

~Amy's POV~
I was worried about Dad, he'd taken off suddenly after getting a text from Naomasa. I'd texted him before bed to make sure he was okay. He didn't offer any information other than he was alright and it was going to be a late night. He told me not to worry, not that it did a whole lot of good.
Rolling out of bed, after a nightmare filled night of restless sleep, I shuffled to my closet and changed into a pair of comfortable shorts and a long sleeve shirt littered with cute pastel flowers. A yawn escaped me as I attempted to shake out my tangled waves of golden blonde hair. I soon gave up and pulled it into a messy bun, deciding I'd fight it later. I activated my quirk and my bed made itself before I groggily shuffled out the door, my small bag of toiletries floated in the air behind me trailing me to the bathroom.
In my very groggy state, I failed to pay attention to my surroundings, and as I reached the ground floor and headed toward the bathroom, my foot came into contact with something solid and I lost my balance. A squeal of surprise escaped me just before I managed to faceplant on the floor. I turned to see what I'd tripped over and spotted a snoring Mineta completely bound in tape and let out a panicked scream.
"AMY!" I heard several shouts from all around the dorm followed by the sound of hurried footsteps.
"Keep away from Amy, creep!" Hagakure snapped at the still sound asleep Mineta.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Katsuki snarled and yanked Mineta up off the floor with one hand.
"Katsuki, wait he di-." My words fell on deaf ears as Katsuki stormed away with the still unconscious Mineta.
A hand hovered in the air in front of my face, offering me help. I glanced upward and met a pair of heterochromatic eyes. "Are you alright?" Shoto asked as I hesitantly placed my hand in his.
I managed a nod and let him pull me to my feet. "Katsuki won't hurt him, will he?" I asked nervously.
Shoto shrugged.
"Nah, don't worry Amy, Mineta will be fine." Kirishima reassured me, though his confident look began to shift to one of uncertainty as Mineta let out a panicked yelp from the opposite side of the dorm. "...I'm gonna go check on that..." He scrambled away. "Hey! Bakugo!"
"Sorry about that Amy, it was my fault." Sero smiled sheepishly as Shoto righted me.
"Why was he sleeping out here wrapped up in tape?" I asked curiously.
Sero scratched the back of his head, "...I kinda forgot he was out here, to be honest." He laughed nervously.
As I was about to question him further, still not understanding why Mineta had been out here in the first place in such a condition, Shoto's finger gently brushed my cheek before sweeping beneath my chin, tilting my face in his direction. My heart thundered in my chest at our sudden closeness as he leaned a little closer. "Sh-Shoto?" I squeaked.
"You didn't get hurt when you fell, did you?" He asked softly as he looked me over, carefully.
I shook my head.
"That's a relief." A small hint of a smile graced his lips.
"Ahem, hate to break up this very sweet moment, but Spa Day is about to commence, so boys get outta here." Midnight's voice sounded from behind me.

Shoto took a step away from me. His cheeks were tinged with pink as if he hadn't realized how close we had been. He offered me another small smile before taking his leave.
"Oh, Amy, I believe there's an upperclassman here to see you. I can only assume he's here to see you, since you've managed to put just about every person on campus under your spell. I'm dying to know your secret by the way, the poor dear jumped in the bushes the moment I said hello." Midnight rambled on with a wicked smile.
I gasped as I realized the only person she could be describing, "ah! Amajiki-senpai!" I scrambled for the front door.
"Who?" I heard several of my classmates echo behind me as I bolted outside.
I hurried down the front steps and quickly scanned the front bushes. "Amajiki-senpai?"
There was a faint rustling sound to my left. I hurried over to the bushes to my left. As I got within reach, a purple octopus plushie was suddenly thrust out of the bush nearly giving me a heart attack. I let out a panicked squeal before registering that it was a cute plushie.
"Amajiki-senpai?" I asked again, nervously.
His head poked out of the bush next to the octopus. He glanced around and realizing we were alone, stepped out of the bushes. "Y-you were injured before. I wanted to check on you." He looked me over, his lips pulled into a frown, "you're more injured now."
"I'm okay." I smiled shyly.
He extended the plush to me with trembling hands. "For you." He murmured, "a get well soon present."
I accepted the adorable octopus plush, it was soft and perfectly squishy. "Thank you, Amajiki-senpai." I hugged him, before I even knew what I was doing, it was as if my body had suddenly been possessed.
He seemed shocked by my hug but rather than pull away as I feared he might, he hugged me back being careful not to touch any of my healing wounds. We stepped away from each other after a moment with matching red faces.
"Y-you're w-welcome." He stammered.
The front door of the dorm building opened up and Midnight poked her head out, "Amy, we're going to start Spa Day!"
Amajiki fell back into the bushes in a panic.
"I'll be right there Midnight-sensei." I called back to her sweetly before sifting through the bushes to make sure Amajiki was alright. "Amajiki-senpai? Are you alright?" I asked worriedly as I noticed him now tangled in the branches of the rather pokey bush.
"I'm fine. You should go." He struggled to extend his hand toward me.
My face reddened as he gently pat me on the head. I extended my fingers, opening my palms up as I activated my quirk. All of the bushes' branches shifted gently releasing Amajiki from their hold before delicately pushing him free. "Thanks again Amajiki-senpai." I smiled once he was back on his feet and I hugged the cute octopus plush close. "See you later."
He smiled after me as I skipped back up the steps.
Midnight opened the door for me and looked down at the cute octopus plush in my hand with a faint smile. "How do you do it?"
"Do what?" I asked her curiously as I unconsciously hugged the plushie in my arms.
Midnight smiled down at me, "It's cute that you don't even know."
I looked up at her, confused.
"Nevermind, run along and finish getting ready so we can start Spa Day." She gently placed her hand to my back and scooted me forward to hurry me up.

I found my bag of toiletries sitting on the counter in the bathroom, one of the girls must have picked it up for me. The octopus in my arms floated in the air over top of me as I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and made one more attempt to tame my hair, I got all the tangles out but it didn't want to cooperate with any hairstyle I tried, so I threw it back up in a messy bun.
After completing my morning routine, I ran upstairs to put my bag of toiletries away and set my new plush atop my bed. I waved to the plushies atop my bed, though I knew they were all inanimate, I still felt like I needed to acknowledge them as I left.
When I returned to the common room, I found Midnight and all the girls from Class 1A and 1B unloading all the stuff Midnight had brought with her. There were nearly a hundred different bottles of nail polish, dozens of different kinds of sheet masks, mud masks and all kinds of other spa products. I looked at all the products feeling a little lost. My mom hadn't really been into girly things, if I ever wanted to get dolled up for anything she'd happily take me to a salon and keep me company and make me laugh but we'd never done anything like this before. I'd also never really had girl friends before to do these things with, back in the states I only had bullies, not friends.
When I joined the group, I noticed all the other girls surrounding Uraraka. "So who is it? It's gotta be Iida or Midoriya, you spend so much time with them." Ashido asked.
Uraraka's face flushed scarlet and she buried her face behind her hands accidentally activating her quirk and ended up sending herself up to the ceiling with a squeal. I wasn't sure what was going on and used my quirk to steady Ochaco so she wouldn't fall when she released herself.
"What's wrong?" I asked everyone curiously.
"Hmm if we want to talk about young love, perhaps we should ask Amy about the cute upperclassman that brought her a plushie." Midnight smiled mischievously.
"WHAT?!" All the girls squealed and pounced on me.
"Upperclassman?!" Toru squealed giddily.
"What's his name?!" Momo demanded and I soon found myself cornered.
Realizing she was no longer the center of attention and was now safe, Uraraka released herself and I used my quirk to get her safely back onto the ground. She noticed I was now in a similar predicament and raced toward me. "I'll help you, Amy!" She cried and lightly tapped my arm once she was within reach.
I let out a squeal as I found myself suddenly weightless and floating up toward the ceiling. "Ah! U-Uraraka! I-I can't use my quirk on myself!" I yelped as she floated up next to me so we could avoid our peers' interrogation.
"Oh...I didn't think of that." Uraraka paled.
"We'll catch you, Amy!" All the girls yelled and scrambled around beneath me waiting for me to fall.
"Oh, I know!" Uraraka attempted to swim toward me, "bring me to you."
I focused on her and she glided toward me. Once she was within reach she wrapped me in a hug and I was able to move us both closer to the ground so she could release us from her quirk without getting injured.
"Hmm, maybe you don't like Iida or Midoriya after all, and you really like Amy." Toru giggled once we landed.
"W-what?!" Uraraka's face was red once more.
"That can wait, I think we need to know more about this upperclassman." Momo interjected.
"I agree, who is he?" Kendo pondered.
"A-Amajiki-senpai." I squeaked.
"Oh my, do you call him that?" Midnight giggled.
I nodded.
"No wonder you enslaved him so quickly, that's so cute, who could resist." Midnight smiled.
"Huh?" What did she mean? I hadn't enslaved anyone.
"So innocent." Midnight smirked before going to finish setting up and play some relaxing music for our Spa Day.
"I'm really sorry about Monoma, Amy." Kendo, the class rep of 1B threw me a sympathetic look as she joined me. "I still can't believe he wouldn't apologize after what he did." She scowled, causing everyone to turn to us.
"Ugh! He's the worst." Ashido grumbled, "he was so rude to us all in remedial classes at camp." She closed her mouth and everyone suddenly looked at me as if they thought I might break at the mention of camp.
"...but he did apologize." I piped up softly.
"He did?!" Everyone gaped, even Midnight seemed a little shocked.
I nodded.
"Alright everyone grab a buddy for manicures and pedicures." Midnight wrapped her arms around me from behind nearly causing me to jump out of my skin. "You get to be my buddy, precious little princess."
I had a lot of fun with my friends and Midnight. We had a nice relaxing morning painting each other's nails, putting on masks and talking about the upcoming hero license exam. Midnight painted my nails in a much darker color than I'd been expecting, it was a deep midnight blue that looked almost black.
After a relaxing spa day, with Midnight keeping the topic of conversation purposefully away from my dad, I headed to the practice field Bakugo and I were using for training. I tried to call my dad as I walked but it went straight to voicemail. I got a quick text in response saying he was still busy with Naomasa and he'd call me later.
"Watch where you're going!" Bakugo's snarling voice made me jump. I glanced down in time to see my foot collide with a bunch of safety mats and I lurched forward with a squeak, losing my grip on my phone.
Strong arms encircled me and I was suddenly righted and pressed against a lean torso. My breath hitched in my throat as I looked up into Bakugo's wide crimson eyes. We stood still for a long moment, neither of us pulling away.
"K-Katsuki?" My voice shook unsteadily, we were so close, I was sure he could feel my heartbeat pounding in my chest.
His grip on me shifted a little, one of his hands moved so it was cradling the back of my head and suddenly he was leaning toward me. My heart nearly catapulted out of my chest as his lips drew nearer to mine. Not sure if I even remembered how to breathe or not, I froze up. He pressed his lips to mine. My eyes fluttered closed and my knees weakened as my entire body began to burn.
He broke the kiss and I felt myself slip from his arms. A gasp escaped me as I hit a soft plush training mat and I placed trembling fingers to my now tingling lips. His face was bright red and he looked to be nearly as breathless as me.
"W-why d-did you d-do that?" I stammered.
"I wasn't about to let that Icy Hot Bastard take the lead." he grumbled, still red faced.
"H-huh?!"
"BAKUGO!" A familiar voice shouted from the direction of the dorms.
Katsuki paled as we turned to see Mr. Aizawa wearing the angriest expression I'd ever seen on his face before. Suddenly fearing for Katsuki's safety, I shakily got to my feet. "Ah, Mr. Aizawa it's no-."
He held up his hand for silence and my words fell away. "Nope, not now, I want to stay angry. Go back to the dorm, Amy."
I hesitated.
Katsuki lightly shoved me in the back pushing me in the direction of the dorms, "go on, Crybaby."
I reluctantly headed back to the dorm, throwing one last worried look at Katsuki. Mr. Aizawa had mentioned he wasn't going to tell Dad about my kiss with Todoroki because he didn't think he was stable. Now Dad was seeing a therapist, was he going to tell him...about both of them? What would Dad think?
As I reached the dorm, everyone looked at me, concerned. Momo reached me first, "Amy, are you okay? Your face is really red."
My still trembling fingers grazed my still tingling lips and I nodded my head vigorously before making a run for my bedroom. As I ran from all my very confused classmates, I was a little relieved to see Mineta was still in one piece. I bolted to my bedroom and locked myself inside. My body still felt hot and my insides felt all gooey and strange. I sank onto my bed and a soft dreamy sigh escaped me as I thought back on what had happened.
What did he mean about not letting Shoto take the lead? Was it because I'd accidentally kissed him the other day? My face grew even hotter as I thought about that morning and my first kiss. I rolled over atop my bed into a pile of plushies and hugged them all close.
Once I'd finally calmed down, I went to my desk and retrieved my journal before writing to my mother about what had happened. Though she was a tad on the violent side, and sometimes overdramatic, she'd always been the best person to talk to. I'd never really talked to her about boys before, since I didn't have any friends back in the states. I knew her first reaction to boys would be something violent, but after that initial violent outburst, she'd be rational and tell me to trust in myself. I set my pen aside as I felt tears begin to well in my eyes as I thought of my mother.
My gaze fell to the plushies sitting atop my bed. She'd have liked them all... after threatening their lives.
'Tap'
I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. In the darkest depths of my mind I could hear the shrieking of grating metal and felt my heart begin to race sporadically in my chest.
'Tap'
I could feel the cold stale air of the tiny meat locker I'd beek locked in.
"LET ME IN!" Katsuki's roar of rage from my balcony nearly sent me into cardiac arrest.
I toppled out of my desk chair and turned to look at my balcony in awe, "Katsuki?!" I focused on the door and it unlocked and swung open on it's own as I picked myself up off the floor.
He held up my phone in his hand, "you dropped this."
"Thanks." I murmured as it floated out of his hand and dropped onto my bed. "What happened with Mr. Aizawa? He looked really angry." I asked, trying my best not to fret.
He shrugged, "I got detention and have to clean the dorm for a week."
"What?!" I squeaked. "W-why?"
"Don't worry about it." He smirked before heading back out onto my balcony. "It was worth it." Were his parting words before he departed by jumping off my balcony.
"Katsuki!" I squealed and cast my hand out, catching him in mid air with my quirk. I raced to my balcony as he hovered in the air.
"What?" He sighed.
"Why do you have to exit the way that gives me a heart attack, what's wrong with the door?" I asked, my voice coming out in a slight whine.
"The losers will be noisy about it, this way is quieter." He shrugged. "You going to put me down?"
I hesitated at the balcony railing as I thought about his earlier explanation. "...was it really only because of what happened with Shoto?"
His cheeks reddened and he averted his gaze, "...no..."
My heart skipped a beat in my chest. I nodded, accepting his response and gently lowered him to the ground before retreating to my room. My face felt hot. Pressing my hands against my burning cheeks, I retreated to my bed and picked up my phone. There weren't any new calls or messages from Dad. It felt like he was avoiding me, which meant he must have received news he thought would worry me, which of course made me worry.
