《Lose Myself》Chapter Fifty-One: Problems From the Past

I pulled the hood of my jumper further down, I just couldn't let myself be seen I'd made it too far. I walked around the next corner then looked for a bus stop, I'd picked up coins and saved using my allowance for years now. I'll use this money to get somewhere and then I'll find her.
The bus ride was long but I finally made it to the next state, I'd need help for resources and such so I had to find a computer or something. I started walking mindlessly around the suburban areas, then I spotted a library which I knew they'd have computers for the public to use.
I smiled to the librarian at the service desk as I entered and found a computer amongst the students with their head down. I started the machine and looked outside as it booted up, it was near sunset and I had no place to sleep. I don't know what I expected, I shook my head. Turning back to the computer I pulled up the browser and searched 'Schwarzer Regen' getting nothing obviously, I shouldn't have expected much from searching that. All I got was that it meant 'black rain' in english, which I'd never really thought too much about the meaning of our names.
I thought hard of the name of the guy that came looking for her, I saw him on the news... they call him - uh - Dominic! I perked up as I remembered the name. Several suggestions came up, I clicked the first which was 'Dominic Sherwood' that wasn't him - not only that but I had no interest in 'Vampire Academy'. I searched again, clicking the second suggestion. 'Dominic Vitiello.' That was it.
Instantly it came up with news of a recent siting, sure enough it was her but... there was a kid too. A little boy. Surely she hadn't had relations with this man? Judging by the child's age at least five years!
I hadn't realise how hard I'd been squeezing the mouse until I heard a crack and the student next to me gave me a weird look. I quickly searched for some bad people, mobs or mafia that were stationed in Germany. I'd make deals with anyone to bring order back to the planet. I found a mob, the place and number given to contact them was only rumoured but I'd have to trust the little sources I have. I smiled bitterly at the kid next to me who'd been peeking and pushed the power button before getting up and exiting the place.

I found a directory from a nearby tourist information booth and started navigating before the sun completely left me in the dark, it took some time but I found a park rumoured to the meeting place for the Phantom Syndicate.
"Do you know how f-cking bored I am right now?" I put the small toy down, "I can't live like this."
"Calm down," Franz poured hot water into a ceramic cup, "We'll find plenty to do in due time."
I pouted, "You can't keep saying that."
The door bust open with Tavin rushing through, "Boss! We have a phone call. Its rather interesting." he was grinning from ear to ear.
I took the phone from the heißluftgebläse (d; a person who talks constantly about nothing) and brought it to my ear, Franz gave him a look and he hurried out. "Hallo." I answered looking at my finger, my nail got ripped off last week and the regrowth was frustrating me.
"Hilf mir. (Help me)" a raspy female voice said from the other end.
"Speak in english sweetheart, you sound like you're struggling." I laughed. "What do you want help with?"
"Help me please, help me save my friend."
"From what?" I frowned, "And what do we get out of it?"
"Entertainment?" she sighed, "An Italian mafia boss took her, I helped him but I didn't know."
"Italian Mafia?" my brows shot up and I wiggled them at Franz who had stopped reading his newspaper and was listening in, now that mafia was mentioned.
"Yes. Please help me, you can watch it all go down but I want to rid of him myself." she was desperate.
"How far?"
"Sorry?" she misunderstood.
I sighed, "How far do we travel for something like this?" I elaborated. I could tell by the phone number she was using that it was in a close vicinity, so we'd travel together.
"Italy." she replied, "Thats it."
"Yeah whatever," I lied down on the couch, "Call me tomorrow morning and we'll meet."
"Th-thank you!" she breathed.
"You must not be a very good friend if you just sold her off like that." I commented before ending the call.
The line went dead.
I knew that. Thats why I was trying to fix it.
"Mmm! Mmm! MM!" I tried to be loud as possible with my mouth full, I was pointing like a crazy woman at the television.
"Yeah?" Dominic came to the doorway, "Oh." he immediately lacked curiosity.

I swallowed, "What do you mean 'oh'? That's my friend!" I pointed again.
"I know. I thought we were talking about something more interesting."
"How do you know?" I was now standing and had my hands on my hips.
He stopped walking and turned back around, "That's where I went when I was looking for you way back, before I knew you were Schwarzer Regen." he explained casually.
"And you didn't bring her back with you?!"
"You seem surprised I didn't, its not like she asked. She seemed fine to me, she was a secretary."
"Pfft." I shook my head, "You know what? Its fine, she's out now anyways."
"Do you think they're looking for her?" he rested on the sofa.
"I hate to say it but she isn't worth very much, on the other hand she knows a lot - maybe too much." I said looking worriedly at the news report, they suspect she was still in the country somewhere. I wonder what made her choose now out of all the times she could've left.
"Knowledge is much more valuable in a sense." Dominic added before returning to the kitchen.
Emilie, be safe.
"Sir, why are we getting involved with this?" Tavin asked whilst trying to keep up on his short legs, Franz adjusted his glasses and continued to scroll on his iPad.
"It'll be fun," I ruffled his hair, "You'll see."
Tavin was a fifteen year old runaway who'd left home because of his parents' broken relationship, we found the kid trying to sell drugs in the local park which was where we went to sell too, so we just told him we'd show him how so long as he'd go somewhere else. The kid somehow ended up staying longer than expected, approximately four years. He was nineteen now and such a pain in my ass, always bringing girls home and sh-t. Disgusting.
Franz was just the finance guy, he was actually my cousin. Everyone else in the mob just joined so they could have place to stay, but I didn't talk to them much.
We got to the spot, the chick was half bad looking. Brunette with orange toned brown irises. She stood up revealing her long toned legs, she was a bit lacking the ass area but definitely made up for it in bust.
"Well, aren't you pretty?" I smiled.
I sat there for about an hour, I didn't mind though because the view was nice and I hadn't wanted to stay around the library too long. I'd been sleeping outside the place and didn't want anyone to spot me.
The guy that showed up with two others was so cute, he seemed to make a full assessment of me before saying something which was surprisingly a compliment. I wish he wouldn't joke like that.
"Uh, thank you." I nodded.
He shoved his hands in his pockets, "So, shall we?" he gestured back the way they came, I walked beside him with his two friends behind us until we came up to a car. Which he opened the back door for me then slid in himself. The friend with the glasses was driving and the other guy was mindlessly staring out the window with his head resting on his arm.
We drove for sometime, then we got to a different kind of airport that was kind of remote. There was a standard plane ready to take us, I was glad we weren't going to an airport - I would definitely get recognised and reported there. The trip to Italy wouldn't take long, maybe an hour and a bit.
--
I woke up being carried off the plane, I didn't think I'd been so tired that I'd fallen asleep. I blushed crimson as I realised the guy was carrying me. I continued to stare at his face, he was so hot.
His friend with the glasses coughed, "She's awake now."
"Oh," he looked down at me then proceeded to let me down, to which I held back from frowning. "Morning sunshine."
I giggled, "Sorry I didn't think I'd fall asleep."
"No problem." he turned his attention elsewhere, fixing his other companion's collar that has folded up. The kid hadn't noticed and just replied with a 'thanks'.
The guy with the glasses spoke up, "Sir, I don't think it'll be easy finding this guy."
"Why not?"
"He had some issues with his mafia, he seperated from them and has taken his wife with him."
"They're married?!" I surely looked as shocked as I felt.
He turned his attention to me for a mere second before looking back at his screen, "Even the mafia can't find them."
"She'll listen to me." I urged.
"No," Adel spoke up, "We'll need to get him without her suspicion. And plus you don't want her to suspect you in any way do you?"
"I'd like to keep our friendship in tact..."
He brought his hand to my face, "Then let us bring him to you."
"Ok."
I felt like I could say okay to anything that came out of his mouth.
