《The Devil's Dance》10

It's been days since my conversation with Miss Bell. I've decided to try to forget her. I'm walking down the hall and we're about to pass each other until she's blocking my path.
I look up at her. "Yes?"
She swallows hard and hands me a piece of folded up paper. Without another word she walks away. What the hell was that about? I walk into the bathroom and open the sheet of paper. It's just an address. To what? For what? I sigh and put the paper in my pocket. I don't have time for this right now. I rush to my next class. It's a huge lecture hall and I like to sit close to the teacher. Time goes by and I try to focus but I can only think about the note in my pocket. If I didn't know any better I would swear it was getting heavier by the minute. Where would this address take me? Why does she want me to go there? What time am I even supposed to go?
Finally all of my classes are done for the day. I race home to tell Olivia about this craziness but she's not there. I check our dry erase board. Oh, she has soccer practice right now. Fuck it. I'm going to this address now. Maybe I should change my clothes. What if it's a nice restaurant or something. I decide to put on a flowy dress. It's not too fancy but it would do the trick. Plus, I think I look sexy in it. I fix my hair quickly and head out the door. I order a car from the app to pick me up. I enjoy a quiet, albeit long, ride all the way to the surprise address. It's a secluded house. A beautiful house. Bigger than I was expecting. It's very modern. A lot of glass walls that are obvious from the outside. I get out and walk to the front door. Before I can even push the door bell the door swings open. Miss Bell is standing there. She has changed as well. She looks a lot different in her. . . leisure clothes. Hotter even. Which I didn't know was possible.

She smiles. "Come in."
I follow her down the extended corridor. Art adorns the walls. She stops us in a living room area. "Please have a seat."
I don't want to sit. I remain standing, but she has a seat and crosses her legs. "Or you can stay standing." She says pouring herself a cup of tea.
"Can you just tell me what I'm doing here?" I ask feeling a little uneasy about this now that I'm here. More confused than uneasy actually.
"Honestly you're here because I can't stop thinking about you. I haven't been able to stop since that night in the studio."
I wasn't prepared for her to say that. I take a seat. "Oh."
"Are you..." Miss Bell pauses, "Do you still feel the same way?"
"I do, but you kind of hurt my feelings the last time we spoke."
Miss Bell sighs. "I know. I was harsh and assumed I knew how you felt. I'm sorry."
"I forgive you." I look around. How did she afford such nice things on a teacher's salary? I know professors got paid pretty well, especially at our school, but not this well.
"Katia." Miss Bell says gaining my attention again.
"Yes ma'am?" I answer out of habit but she doesn't seem bothered by it.
"I'm still very nervous to do this but I'd like to try." She confesses.
"Me too." I want to try right now. Here on the floor or the couch. Maybe her dining room table and her bed. Anywhere.
"We'd have to keep it a secret. At least until you graduated. Otherwise, I'd lose my job."
"And I would fuck up my reputation. I don't want to be the girl that sleeps her way to the top."

She blinks at me and she's visibly angry.
"I'm sorry did I say something?" I ask.
"Do you always use such foul language?" She asks stirring her tea.
"Yes." I answer quickly.
She shakes her head. "Hm."
"So I like you. You like me. What do we do?" I ask picking at my nails.
"We can move forward, pursue a relationship of some sort if that's something you're interested in."
I think about it for a second. I would have to stop having sex with Olivia, but we both knew this would happen eventually. It was never supposed to go on forever. Plus she said no questions asked. It'll be fine. We'll be fine. "Yes. I'm interested."
"The only thing is we'd have to keep it a secret. No one could know. Everything would have to remain the way it is now in public."
I nod. "Obviously." I say nonchalantly.
She stares at me silently. At first it seems as though she's checking me but I think she's contemplating something.
"You're sure you're okay with this?" Miss Bell asks.
"Yes."
"Are you seeing anyone? Namely, Olivia?"
I laugh. That's what I do when I'm nervous. Why am I nervous? "Um... No. She's my roommate and my best friend." I pause. "Shes also my ex aaaaand do you want to know the whole truth?" I ask.
"Always." Miss Bell says.
"We've been having sex for the last month. A friends with benefits thing."
Miss Bell raises an eyebrow. "That would have to stop. I'm not interested in sharing you."
Usually the possessive type turns me off but that actually did quite the opposite. "Yes ma'am." I say quietly. Even when we're not in class something about Miss Bell forces me to call her ma'am.
"Also, there's something you should know now so you're free to change your mind now before we get too deep into this."
I take a deep breath and relax. "Okay."
"I'm into some different things."
"Like what?" I ask. I didn't take Miss Bell for the type to do drugs. A lot of girl I knew did coke. It keeps them skinny and energetic. I hope that isn't her vice.
"I think a visual would help." She stands up, "follow me, Katia."
