"Pink or white?" The nail technician asked Mia holding up two nail polishes,
"White please," Mia replied softly, leaning back in her chair. The girls were currently getting Mani-Pedis, thanks to Ace who set them all up on a relaxing spa day. They've had full body massages, a facial treatment, an hour in the sauna and now lastly, the nail treatment. Ace wanted to keep Mia occupied so him and Dave could get the wedding together.
"I don't think I've ever been this relaxed," Naala commented throwing her head back, she was feeling good having a kid-free day. Mama Sonia offered to look after the girls and get them ready for the wedding, unbeknownst to the girls.
"Girl same, I needed this," Taina replied gaining no response from Naala. That's how every interaction between them has been since Taina spoke with Dave.
Naala rolled her eyes and lifted up her cup and took a sip of it. Taina realised something was up with Naala and decided to speak up,
"Lala, what's the problem? You've been sneak dissing me for 2 days now, did I do something?" Taina questioned, genuinely confused. Both Mia and Azure looked over at them,
"I ain't got a problem," Naala muttered, playing with her straw,
"Nah there's clearly something you need to get off your chest," Taina retorted, she was sick of Naala's stank attitude.
"I just didn't like how you decided to tell my boyfriend something that you had no business repeating," Naala spoke, looking directly at Taina. The nail ladies looked on in disbelief,
"First of all chill out. Secondly, I didn't tell Dave a damn thing, I was only trying to help him see how you felt," Taina said honestly,
"I didn't need you to do that Taina," Naala replied, she felt like Taina made her seem like a victim, and a victim was one thing she wasn't.
"Well I was trying to help, next time I will just mind my business," Taina muttered turning her attention back to the woman coating her toes, in a cocaine white polish.
"So you can't see where I'm coming from?" Naala questioned seeing Taina's face twist up,
"No I can't Naala,"
"Whatever," Naala replied, "I don't want us to fight T, I really don't,"
"I'm not fighting with you, I don't care anymore," Taina shrugged.
"Come on guys, Taina just apologise," Mia said looking over at her friends. She didn't want them to fall out, especially because they were on holiday.
"I'm sorry if you felt some type of way Lala, I was only helping," Taina said honestly,
"I get that you were helping but I wanted to be the one to tell him that when I was ready, I feel like you took away my chance," Naala spoke freely,
"I get it, I apologise La, that wasn't my intention," Taina said, holding her hand out for Naala to take. Naala placed her hand in Taina's softly and squeezed,
"It's okay, I'm glad I've told him now," Naala said,
"So why am I getting all the backlash?" Taina chuckled letting go of Naala's hand. Azure laughed out loud at Taina's statement,
"Leave my sister alone," Azure giggled, running her hands through her hair.
Naala's phone rang loudly in her lap, she picked it up and answered it quickly putting it on loudspeaker as her hands were occupied.
"Baby," Dave's gruff voice came through the phone,
"Hey babe," Naala replied cheerfully,
"You good?" Dave questioned looking at Ace get his tux fitted.

"I'm perfect, I miss you," Naala pouted,
"You miss me or you miss this dick?" Dave asked blankly. Dave woke up this morning to Naala riding him quietly, this whole holiday Naala had been on a different level.
"Oh my God you are on speaker," Naala giggled, putting her head down in embarrassment. The woman that was doing Naala's toes looked at the phone in shock.
The girls all laughed under their breath, "So, I hope they heard it too," Dave continued, "Y'all she's obsessed with this di-". Naala cut the phone immediately, knowing exactly what he was about to say.
"You didn't have to do him like that," Taina chuckled at the fact that Naala cut the phone,
"Yeah I did, he's too much," She mumbled seeing that he was ringing again but a FaceTime call. Naala answered and immediately Dave's mug appeared in the camera,
"Don't hang up on me," He said licking his lips,
"You were doing too much," Naala laughed looking at him,
"Mmm, you've eaten?" He asked, turning away from Ace so she wouldn't see him in the background,
"We are gonna get lunch after this, where are you Amir?" Naala asked inquisitively as she saw a woman carrying a suit walk behind him.
"Out," He said quickly, "We're at the mall," He lied through his teeth, Naala raised her eyebrows,
"Are you sure?" She asked again, not convinced by his answer.
"Yeah, wait ma, lemme call you back," Before Naala could even reply, he hung up. Naala frowned, he never rushes her off the phone like that.
"They're up to something," Naala spoke to no one in particular,
Azure perked up, not wanting to ruin the surprise she quickly said, "I doubt it, you know Dave's goofy as hell,"
Naala hummed, "I guess," She said, still thinking that Dave was behaving weirdly.
"What's the plan for Nai's birthday?" Taina asked, Sinai was turning 5 years old tomorrow.
"We've decided to do something small here and let her celebrate with her friends back home, I've asked the chef to put together a grill for us," Naala replied, their trip to the water park was a part of Sinai's birthday celebrations.
"I can't believe she's about to be 5," Azure spoke, it felt like just yesterday that she was holding her newborn niece in her arms,
"Don't, you'll make me cry" Naala pouted, "She's grown so much now, I want my little girl back," Naala said, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Come on Lala, she has to grow up," Taina said soothingly, even though she didn't have children she couldn't imagine watching her baby grow up so quick,
Naala nodded and wiped her eyes a bit, "I know, she's 5 going on 25, that girl has an attitude out of this world," Naala laughed,
"Where do you think she gets it from?" Azure questioned, raising her eyebrows, "Do you know how many times this girl got whooped because of her mouth?" Azure continued, reminiscing on the days where Naala used to get in trouble,
"Whatever," Naala chuckled,
"Mia you good over there?" Taina asked Mia who was dead asleep, "This baby is really on her ass," Taina commented as a loud snore came from Mia.
"I know the feeling," Azure replied, Naala also agreeing. The first few months on pregnancy were the worst ones in their opinion.

"When is Neveah getting a sibling?" Taina questioned, causing Azure's face to frown up,
"Never. No more kids are popping out this coochie," Zuri said with a serious look.
"Seriously?" Naala laughed at her sister's face,
"Yes, I can't go through that again," Azure winced remembering the pain she endured during Neveah's birth.
"Derrick called me last night," Naala admitted, Azure's husband rang Naala the night before trying to talk to Azure.
"Really?" Azure questioned, "I blocked him like you said, he doesn't understand what divorce means,"
"Are you really sure that's what you want Zuri," Taina ensured, all the girls knew that Zuri loved Derrick and to give up on their relationship was a big thing.
"I should have done this years ago," Azure spoke honestly, "When me and Derrick are in love, it's perfect, but when we are at odds it's like I don't even know who he is. He becomes this person that I can't be around. I don't want 'Veah to grow up thinking that's what love is,"
Naala nodded in agreement, "I totally get it, but I just don't want you to regret this decision," Naala said to her sister,
"Trust me, I've thought this through, I'm done," Azure said sternly, "I suggest you block him too Naala, he's using you."
Naala agreed and pulled out her phone, the nail ladies were now getting ready to leave.
"Thank you so much," Taina said to the woman that did her nails, "I love them," She smiled.
"Damn, y'all couldn't wake me up," Mia sniffed, sitting up and stretching,
"You were enjoying yourself," Naala giggled. Azure checked the time and realised that she needed to get the girls back to the villa to change into their dresses. Mama Sonia had already taken the girls to the venue and the boys should also be there.
"We need to get back guys," Azure spoke up, shooting Dave a message to let him know their whereabouts,
"Home, already?" Naala pouted, not wanting this pamper session to end,
"Apparently we've got one more surprise," Mia mentioned after texting Ace back,
The girls got up and left the spa shortly after the nail technicians finished up. They got into their sprinter that had been waiting for them which drove them directly back to the Villa. Naala's phone buzzed in her lap,
Amir💙: miss you.
Naala laughed and ignored him, she hadn't forgotten how he tried to draw her out earlier. I have something for his ass, she thought.
Finally the sprinter pulled up to the villa, the girls hopped out and walked towards the door. When they entered the villa they were met with pure silence, which was very unusual. The girls moved through the villa confused,
"Where is everybody?" Taina spoke first, realising that even the staff were nowhere to be found,
"I need the bathroom, y'all find out what's going on," Mia said in a rush, passing them to get to the bathroom before she peed herself.
Azure waited till Mia was out of sight before turning to Taina and Naala.
"Ok guys, so you need to go and get ready really quickly," She said to them gaining confused looks,
"Get ready for what?" Naala asked, shifting her weight onto the over foot,
"Ace is marrying Mia - tonight." She whispered to them,
Taina gasped, "What?"
"Quit playing Zuri," Naala replied back, her own voice now quieter,
"I'm serious, and we are bridesmaids so we need to get ready quick, your dresses are in your rooms," Azure whispered again, "I'm gonna convince Mia to get ready now,"
Both Taina and Naala nodded before going off to their rooms to get ready. Azure went towards Mia's room and knocked lightly,
"Come in," She shouted, taking off her shirt,
"Mia, get ready, we are going to dinner," Azure lied,
Mia raised her brows, "Really, right now?" She asked huffing, she was getting ready to dive straight into bed.
"Yep, your dress is in the closet," Azure said,
Mia frowned, "Why can't I wear my own clothes?"
"Ace bought it," Azure shrugged, "You've got 30 minutes," She said before leaving the room to get ready herself.
The plan was for the girls to all get ready and join the rest of the group at the beach for the wedding, without Mia even getting an idea of what was going on.
30 minutes later, all the girls were done and waiting on Mia to finish up with her makeup. Even though she didn't know what was happening, her hair and makeup was flawless. Azure picked out a white silk dress, that hugged her curves perfectly. She matched it with minimal jewellery and her white Amina Muadi heels.
"You look amazing," Taina complemented Mia as she walked towards the girls,
"Beautiful," Naala added,
Naala, Taina and Azure were all wearing black dresses, not identical but pretty similar. Mia didn't even pay attention to the similarity.
"Ok, let's get going," Azure said, sending Ace a text to say they were on the way.
"Nervous?" Dave asked standing next to Ace.
"As shit," Ace laughed, fixing his tie and looking towards aisle.
They were standing under the wedding arch, the sun was now setting and the beach looked beautiful. Neveah and Sinai were in matching pink dresses, they were the flower girls.
"They're here," Mama Sonia said as she watched them walk up, Mia was still oblivious to what was happening. "Come on girls," Sonia said holding their hands and leading them to the end of the aisle.
Dave nodded towards the violin players, who began to play the traditional wedding march.
"Thanks Mama," Taina said taking a bunch of flowers from Sonia. Sonia gave Naala and Azure their flowers and lastly a bigger bunch to Mia.
"What's happening?" Mia questioned taking the flowers confusingly,
Everyone moved to the side so she could see the aisle. She saw Ace standing at the end of it and a minister standing in the middle. Everything started to make sense, the white dress, the flowers, the violins.
"Oh my God," Mia muttered, putting her hand over her mouth, tears threatening to slip out of her eyes.
"But -- how?" She stuttered looking at her friends. The girls all shrugged and smiled,
"If you'd let me, I'd love to walk you down the aisle," Mama Sonia said, linking arms with Mia. Over the short period of knowing her, Mama Sonia had grown to love Mia, and felt that it was only right.
Mia nodded a few tears falling, Sonia reached up and wiped her tears, "Come on," She whispered.
Naala walked down the aisle first, standing opposite Dave who was eye fucking her. Taina was next, taking her place next to Naala. Azure walked down last, followed by Sinai and Neveah who were throwing flower petals on the floor.
Mia and Sonia started walking gracefully down the aisle, Ace put his head down to stop himself from tearing up, he was really about to marry the love of his life. Mia noticed and teared up also, she couldn't believe this was happening. Sonia gave her hand to Ace and kissed his cheek before returning to her seat.
"Friends, we have been invited here today to share with Hassan Tobias Kingston and Mia Imani Wallace a very important moment in their lives. In the short time they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife." The minister spoke loudly, before turning to them,
"By being here today, you've decided to declare, before all your family and friends, that a life by each other's side is far more beautiful than one where you walk apart. It is a promise to grow together, inspire one another and to dedicate each day to find ways to spread this love and light to the world around you. Please look at one another and join hands, now for the vows," The minister said looking at both Ace and Mia.
"I'll go first," Ace laughed nervously,
"Mia, I couldn't imagine standing here in front of anybody else. I knew from the first day I saw you that without a doubt you would be my wife and the mother of my children. Today you stand here about to be both of those things and all I can do is thank God. The day after we met I spoke to Mama Sonia and I said she's gonna be my wife, and do you know what she told me, she said 'baby I've known you all your life and never have I seen you light up like this over no woman'." Everyone chuckled because that is exactly what Mama Sonia would say.
"You are the first person I want to see in the morning and the last at night. I look forward to loving the smallest moments, like when we are both are up at 3 am, looking after our baby. I promise to be the man that I see now in your eyes, today, tomorrow, and for always. I love you Mia Imani Wallace, soon to be Kingston," Ace finished, wiping the tears that fell from her eyes.
"How can I match that?" Mia joked clearing her throat,
"I have prayed my entire life for God to deliver to me a husband as caring, as forthright, and as passionate as you. I don't know how I got so lucky. I think of the times where I thought there was no hope for me and then you turned up," Mia chuckled, "You turned up and spun my life around. I couldn't imagine welcoming life into this world without you, you make everyday bearable, you showed me that love exists. When I hold your face in my hands or lean into your shoulder to feel you hold me, I know this is the place I am meant to be for all time. This is the person I am meant to share my entire life with. Words cannot express the love I have for you, Hassan" Mia finished, sniffing.
Naala wiped tears away from her eyes, she was really watching her best friend get married. The minister cleared his throat and began to speak again,
"Mia, do you take Hassan as your beloved husband, to honor and care for the rest of your life?"
"I do," Mia breathed out,
"And Hassan do you take Mia as your beloved wife, to honor and care for the rest of your life?"
"Damn, right I do," Ace laughed causing Mama Sonia to shoot him a glare.
"Could we please have the wedding rings?" The minister asked, Dave pulled the ring out of his pocket, "Thank you."
"Please repeat after me," The minister continued, "Hassan, I give you this ring as a symbol of my steadfast love and affection to represent our infinite future and a sign of our boundless love."
Mia repeated the words and placed the ring on Ace's finger. Hassan also repeated the statement and slid the ring onto her finger, placing a kiss on her hand.
"Mia and Hassan, you have declared your lifelong dedication to one another and have exchanged chosen rings to remind you of this sacred vow. By the power vested in me, it is with my greatest honor to pronounce you, for the first time, and . You may now share your first kiss as a married couple."
Ace stepped forward and pulled Mia into a long kiss, ending it with several pecks. Everyone cheered, Mia turned around to the girls and smiled,
"I'm married bitches!" She screamed holding up her hand so they could see the huge diamond on her finger.
Naala, Taina and Azure went rushing over, pulling Mia into a hug. Dave dapped up Ace, congratulating him.
Dave then pulled Naala away and into a hug, "I missed you today," He spoke into her hair, kissing her head.
"I missed you too," Naala said truthfully looking up at him, "Why didn't you tell me what you guys were planning,"
"Naala you can't hold shit," Dave laughed, "She would have known as soon as you did,"
"Whatever," Naala said before attempting to walk off to Sinai,
"Nah, I said I missed you," Dave said pulling her back and into a kiss. Naala returned the kiss and pulled away, "Not now," She whispered, knowing what that kiss meant.
"All that kissing is gon' give me a new grandchild," Sonia said looking at both of them, "Lawd, I'm too young for this," She stressed, running her hands through her short hair and walking off. Both Naala and Dave burst out into laughter at Sonia's dramatics.
Sinai and Neveah got up from their seats and began throwing confetti into the air,
"Look mommy," Neveah laughed throwing the confetti everywhere,
"I see you baby," Azure giggled stepping off the podium.
Mia slapped Ace's chest, "I can't believe you just did that," She pouted, feeling like she was about to cry again.
Ace chuckled and pulled her into him, "I told you I was gonna marry you,"
"I love you so much," Mia said looking into his eyes, her love radiating off her body,
"I love you more, let's go take some pictures," Ace said pecking her lips and leading her towards the rest of the group to take pictures.
