《Empresses of Pangaea: The Clash of Queens [ BOOK 1 ]》4

The meeting was going to start in about thirty minutes. Rehema and her council were finishing up breakfast in the great hall before she was going to meet the rest of the Empresses of Pangaea that day.
Esi placed down her mug of tea that she was drinking on the table. Everyone around them was excited to see what the meeting of Rehema's introduction to the other Empresses of Pangaea had in store for them. Her team of men and women had woken up early and were standing guard by her side during breakfast.
Rehema had put on mermaid styled gown, with a sewn in cape for the occasion. Her gown was styled in plain white and bright yellow and green African pattern on the waist and top area of her gown. She wore golden pair of teardrop earrings, and a silver and pink, maang tikka hair jewelry piece that rested on her forehead. Esi had worn a simple dark blue African pattern dresses that had long sleeves and tailed on the floor.
"Well, here is heads up for some information I found about the other empresses," Esi said shifting in her seat.
Rehema shot a look at her, "This better not be gossip," She warned.
Esi rolled her eyes, "Don't be so serious."
Rehema shook her head in disapproval, "You always were one for mischief."
"Do you want to hear what my little birds told me or not?" Esi insisted.
Rehema was silent at first but then gave in, "Fine what."
Esi smiled seeing that she won her over, "Well here is just some facts Empress Fan Du, the empress of the East Asian lands has one of the biggest harems out of all the current empresses of Pangaea, basically about 40 – 50 men," Esi whispered.
Rehema looked at her wide eyed. "Fifty?"
Esi nodded, "They say she is a big flirt, with the most children too out of all the other current empresses. Fan Du and empress Oishi Bhatt of the south Asian lands are good friends but some say there could be more to their 'friendship'. Also, there's Catherina Garbaojsa of the South American lands, who has been called stuck up by Empress Loulu Yoki who is empress of the North American lands."
Rehema knew that when it came to gossip, Esi could go one for hours. Rehema held her hand up, "Lets wait, and met the other empresses before we go on judging them Esi. That is in fact what we came for."
Esi shrugged picking up her tea mug, "If you say so..." She lingered on still trying to tempt Rehema even more, but Rehema was not interested any longer. A servant came over to clean up and was clearing plates.
"So, you must be the new one?" Rehema heard someone say boldly behind her. She turned around and saw a slightly older than her woman approaching. The tanned light brown skin beauty approaching them was wearing a purple dolphin print skirt that reached her calves, and a black shell shaped bra top.
"I'm Kiana Iona, also known as the Empress of the Sea's and Islands," she said introducing herself confidently. The woman had a brown pelican perched on her left shoulder and was holding a golden shiny trident that was almost her height. She expanded her hand out for Rehema to shake it.
Rehema was hesitant at first but shook it, Kiana gave her a big shake.
"Your mother was Tamela, correct?" Kiana asked, her long curly brown-red tinted hair jiggled, and it reached below her waist.

Rehema nodded her head and stood up, Esi did as well standing behind her. "I'm her eldest daughter Rehema Eze."
"I see the resemblance," Kiana inputted. She made her way to the entrance of the great meeting hall where all the other empresses were going to be meeting. "I think you'll fit in quite well with all the other empresses."
Rehema turned her attention to her crew. "Well, everyone let's start heading to the hall!" She shouted.
Together they all made their way to inside the meeting hall where there was big rectangle wood table in the middle of the room and a platform that was ahead of them. The platform also had a big rectangle wooden table. Rehema could tell that the platform was where the queen council was going to sit, and the table in the middle of the room was where the empresses were going to sit.
Rehema saw more people coming in, and she saw Kiana had taken a seat already at the table.
Rehema searched for her name tag on the table to see where she was marked to sit. Esi pointed it out. It was a seat between Kiana Lona Empress of the Sea and Islands and Loulu Yoki Empress of the North American Lands. Rehema took her sit while Esi and her main advisor stood behind her.
Kiana smiled at her; her brown pelican was now resting on the table.
Soon all the seats at the table were filled expect one seat that remained empty between Catherina Garbajose the empress of South American lands, and Fan Du the Empress of the East Asian lands. The seat was supposed to be for the empress of the frozen lands Marjo Vanhala. Rehema looked up and noticed the Queen Council table was filled up too. She noticed and spotted Lottie and Talana up on the platform seated up straight and ready.
A heavy cough came from the Queen Council table and the whole room was silent. Behind empresse's table sat an audience of army's, men, women, and servants of those who had come on the journey with the empresses of their home land.
"Welcome everyone to the official welcoming and introduction to the newest empress emerging to rule Pangaea with peace and prosperity!" Shouted Lottie was wearing a heavy black wolf fur coat from where she stood.
Behind her Rehema could hear the people that worked for her as well as others cheering. She felt her sister and advisor pat her on the back as they continued.
Lottie pointed her finger to Rehema. "We all like to welcome you Empress Rehema Eze the eldest daughter of the late Empress Tamela Eze!" She shouted.
Rehema smiled as she could hear applause from behind her.
"Alright settle down, settle down," Lottie said after all the cheering. "Let us now introduce the other empresses to Rehema."
The first one to stand up was Kiana, "We have met already in the dining room when Empress Rehema was having breakfast. But to say again I'm Kiana Iona, Empress of the Sea and Islands." She sat down and Rehema turned over to look at who was sitting next to her. Loulu Yoki stood up, "I'm Empress Loulu Yoki, the North American Lands," She said. She was wearing a tribal uniform and had a tall feather war bonnet on. She sat down and the person sitting next to her stood up next.
"Catherina Garbajosa, Empress of the South American Lands," She said quicky. Rehema could see a tension between her and Loulu as it seemed they were trying to not look at one another even though they were sitting next to each other.

It was a quiet pause for a few seconds because of the empty seat that was next Catherina. The Queen Council seemed annoyed, but Lottie spoke up to explain the absent seat. "Sorry about that Empress Rehema it seems that Marjo Vanhala Empress of the Frozen Lands has decided to not join us in this conference. I am sure one day we can figure some way for her to meet you."
One of the Queen Council members rolled her eyes, "We can't even get her to respond to our letters or participate with the other empresses at all. Thiers a chance you might never meet her."
Lottie shot a glared at the council member that spoke out of order, "Watch it Etienne."
Etienne shrugged, "It's the truth."
Shaking her head Lottie urged the rest of the empresses to introduce themselves.
The woman across from the empty seat stood up. "Fan Du, Empress of the East Asian Lands." She had a silk dress on, that was striking red, and had flowers printed all over it, along with a Liangbatou head piece that had her hair wrapped in a bun. She sat down and the next person stood up.
"Sonita Dholia, Empress of the South Asian Lands," She said confidently. Her hair was braided in one long single braid and she was wearing traditional purple and gold sari, along with many piercings on her nose, and ears. She sat back down and gave a mischievous smile at Fan Du and whispered something in her ear.
Rehema caught the exchange but then had to focus on who the last empress she was going to meet today was. The Kasperek.
"Adelaide Kasperek, empress of the Europeans lands," She said with no enthusiasm and quickly took her seat with a bored expression on her face. Rehema could see from her body language she didn't want to be here and had no interest at all of anything around her. Behind Adelaide must had been her sister, Rehema could see they looked alike, only different was two sister had different hair colors.
'So that is the daughter of the notorious Isolda Kasperek,' Rehema thought to herself. Adelaide had her mother's wavy dirty blonde hair, and ivory skin. Adelaide was dressed in a baby blue ball gown and had a snake shaped tiara on.
"Well!" Clapped Lottie from the stage. "If any of the empresses would like to exchange words to Empress Rehema who know holds the title for Empress of the African Lands now is the time."
Rehema was expecting for that to be all, since hardly anyone knew her or really cared too beside Kiana, but Fan Du stood up.
"Well, I would like to welcome the new empress with a gift," Fan Du exclaimed.
The six queen council members looked at each confused. "A gift?" Lottie asked taken back.
"Yes," Fan Du moved away from her seat and walked to Rehema. "I know since you a new empress you must have an empty harem."
Rehema nodded holding her composure, "It is small so far."
Fan du smiled, and then let out a whistled, "Gentlemen line up please!" she shouted. Soon a line of young East Asian men emerged from the crowd and lined up in front of Rehema. The stood in front of the table and bowed greeting all the empresses.
"You may pick anyone for your harem. A gift, from me to you," Fan Du said with a smile.
Rehema was out of words and in shock, "I can't-"
"Please I have too many men in my harem, so I don't mind at all. You're doing me a favor by taking on for yourself, and don't worry I haven't slept with any of the ones I have presented to you," Fan said.
Rehema had no choice but to choose, since she was pinned down, and all eyes were on her. Rehema got up and scanned the line of men. She had no idea who to pick. They all seemed nervous, but few kept their head held high.
"Take you time," Fan Du said with her hands on her hips. "No rush."
Rehema turned around and looked at her advisor. "Any idea's?" She asked her.
She shrugged, "Your majesty, it's up to you who you place in your harem, and only you."
Rehema turned to Esi for help but Esi gave her a helpless look too.
Rehema sighed and stood up to get a better look at the guys. Moving down the line they were all staring at the floor and not moving an inch. Most empresses would have picked the tallest of the group. Tall and big muscles were popular among harems.
Rehema decided to be different for a change. She noticed a young man not the tallest and a tad bit shorter than her with a Korean styled bowl haircut. He was wearing a light blue hanbok and was blushing.
Rehema smiled at him and when he noticed he blushed even harder and returned his eyes to the ground.
"Him!" Rehema said pointing at him.
Fan Du looked at Rehema in confusion, "You want that one?"
Rehema nodded and went over to take the guy's hand, which was sweaty and shaky. The other empresses and the queen council were confused with the choice as well. Out of all the men lined up there were others that were taller and built more manly. Rehema's choice was a tad bit feminine.
Fan Du shrugged, "If you say so." She told the other men they were dismissed. Fan Du went to take her seat.
Rehema leaned down in whispered in the young man's ear, "You can sit with the rest of my crew in the audience. We will talk later." Esi came over to take him to the audience behind them.
Rehema went back to her seat and looked back at the platform.
Lottie clapped her hands again, "Well does anyone else have a gift or words to exchange to Empress Rehema."
There was a silence and quiet. "Alright then, lets now begin the ceremony to enlist Rehema."
All the Empresses stood up and went in front of the table. Rehema took off her golden jewelry head piece she was wearing and handed it to Esi. She then went to approaching the platform and going up on to where the Queen Council was. Lottie had set a bucket of what was a sparkling liquid that glimmered in the middle of the platform. Rehema clapping her hands together she got on both her knees and kneeled in frot of it. Lottie in one swift motion bumped the bucket on Rehema as she closed her eyes with her hands clasped and recited a prayer. It was ceremony ritual all new empresses did to wish them good luck in their service.
Dripping wet and cold, but her skin shinning with glitter, Rehema stood up. She looked at the crowd and got see her crew members cheering and yelling. She smiled and waved at them.
Finally, Lottie directed Rehema to a table to sign in the book of Pangaea history about her leadership date and record of being assigned empress of the African Lands. Rehema was surrounded by the queen council and saw a heavy old dusty book. Picking up the quill pen she signed her signature near a X and marked her history.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
