I turn and smile towards my angel as I park, shutting off the engine of my car. She glances at me with a shy smile before opening her door and stepping out with me doing the same, following after her. We walk into school with me slightly behind her as she heads to her locker. When she opens it up I lean against the locker telling "I'm sorry about last night."

"It's fine." she whispers as she gets books out and puts her bag in.

"But it's not. My dads just traditional I guess and it's not what he was expecting." I tell her as she shuts her locker turning towards me with books in her hands.

"I'm just glad I told them." she pauses as she looks down at the ground whispering "Elijah isn't going anywhere, whether your parents like it or not and if it comes down to it there really isn't a choice."

She walks off after she finishes leaving me following after her trying to wrap my head around what she said. We walk into Ms. Brown's room a few minutes before it's time for class to start. She takes her seat and I sit behind her before tapping her shoulder to get her attention as I say "I know Elijah isn't going anywhere and it'll never come down to that. I won't let it."

She smiles at me before turning back around as the bell rings and Logan enters the room in a hurry just as the bell goes off. Looking over in our direction she gives my angel a smile then takes her seat next to her. I grunt unamused as Ms. Brown starts class by taking attendance. I say here when she calls my name but zone out for the rest of class and soon the bell is ringing.

My angel stands and starts to walk out with Logan following behind her. I get up following after them as they leave the classroom. I sniff the air because they've disappeared into the sea of teenagers once I got to the door. I follow my angels scent as I push and shove through the halls trying to find them. The bell rings but it sounds so far off in the distance that I barely hear it at all.

I turn the corner and stop abruptly as the scent goes behind a classroom door. Leaning my ear against the door I don't hear any voices so I open the door but stop short when I see Logan's back. I walk in and shut the door behind me making sure to be loud as I do. She whips her head around to look at me and as she does my angel comes into view behind her.

I can feel the growl in my throat before it surfaces into the air for everyone to hear. I'm pretty sure my eyes are flicking between forest green and lime green at the moment. I breathe in through my nose as I try to push Alex down but I can already till it will be difficult to do. She's right at the surface scratching at the back of my head as she tries to break free.

"Move." I hear sound out through the room as Alex growls out the word.

Logan's eyes flick to navy blue before going back to their normal ocean blue as she flashes her fangs at me. My hands clamp at my sides as I take a step towards them just as Logan turns around fully. She's facing me with her arms tense at her side as my angel stands behind her with a worried look. Logan gives me a smirk as she glances into my eyes before saying "Make me."

It's as if everything slows down as I begin to walk over to Logan to wipe that smirk off her face. She's looking at me as if she's already won my angel's heart as I glare into her eyes getting closer and closer with each step I take. Just as I'm an arms length away my angel moves from behind her as her hand reaches out to my chest halting me from coming any closer. I'm still glaring at Logan as she glares back into my eyes not saying a word.

I go to side step my angel her hand comes up to grip my arm as she whispers "Stop, please."

My eyes flick towards her and I can see her eyes begging me not to do what Alex and I want to. I gaze away from her as I take a few steps back from them and close my eyes not wanting to see hers. When I open my eyes I see Logan looking from me to my angel in a strange way. I drag my eyes back over to my angel as she says my name.

"We weren't doing anything." she says once she has my attention. I scoff as I shake my head at her before giving her an obvious look that shows I don't believe her.

She looks up into my eyes as she says "I promise."

"Doesn't really matter if nothing was going on this time. There'll be a next time and I won't be here. Not even counting how many times it could have happened already." I say as I glare over in Logan's direction.

Logan takes a step forward as she says "And so what if it has? It's not like she's yours."

"She's not yours either. So sto-" I start to say only to be cut off by my angel whispering "I'm not either of yours."

I take a step to her with my hand out but she continues on whispering as she moves away from both of us "I-I'm not sure what's going on. What I'm feeling. I-It's confusing and it's s-scaring me. I-I don't know what to do."

"Just choose." I say to her as I look down at her before glancing at Logan who's moved closer towards us.

"I-I don't w-want to." she stutters out as her gaze goes down.

I scratch the back of my neck as I look towards Logan as she says "Teddy we talked about this. I don't want to share you."

"I second that." I say as I bring my eyes back to my angel face.

She looks down as she stays silent not saying anything to either of us. Logan runs her hand through her hair as she sighs loudly. My hands drag down my face as I try to think of a solution but I'm coming up empty. Logan glances over at me then my angel before saying "You have to choose."

My angel shakes her head back and forth as she continues to stare at the ground avoiding eye contact with both of us. Logan steps closer to her and I force down the growl Alex wants to release at her. She lifts my angels head before saying "It's not fair to us if you don't so your going to have to choose. If it's alright with Ash we'll give you until after prom."

"Prom?" I ask as Logan turns to look at me.

"That's what I was asking her about before you ran in the room." she says as she glances back at my angel.

"You're taking her?" I ask with a growl along with the question.

"She didn't get a chance to answer." she hisses at me with venom in her voice.

"My angel let me take you." I say as I step around Logan speaking directly to her.

"I asked first." Logan states as she shoves me out of the way.

"And?" I say as I push her shoulders making her stumble back. Her eyes flick navy before she's charging at me with her fist in the air. As soon as she starts charging my angel screams "No, Stop."

She continues to charge so when she's close enough I side step her making her run into the desks behind me. She turns around with an enraged face before she goes to charge at me again only to hear my angel's voice whispering "Please stop."

She halts mid step and whirls around to face my angel staring into her eyes as my angel whispers "You can both take me."

It's silent again as no one says anything after that but it's not silent for long as the bell rings signaling the end of second hour and it's like we all remember we're at school. We all start walking to the door but I reach it first and I open the door, holding it open for them. My angel walks through first staring at the ground still. Logan stops for a second and stares at me without saying anything before continuing out of the room.

I walk into Spanish behind Teddy with my mind going crazy because I'm thinking about the events from earlier. I knew it would come down to a choice between the two and that one of us would obviously come up empty handed. As I take my seat and Mr. Moore starts his lesson plan it doesn't help my mind calm down from its non frivolous activity.

After twenty minutes he hands out a worksheet and tells us it's due first thing tomorrow. I take the worksheet and start to do it, trying to distract my thoughts from lingering too long on things that don't need to be thought about. I finish it in less then fifteen minutes and turn it in as my mind seems to go haywire again. Teddy glancing at me constantly isn't helping either because just seeing her face brings so many emotions. She finally decides to speak as she whispers "I'm sorry."

"For what?" I ask in confusion as I lift my gaze to her eyes.

She nervously twist her finger together as she stutters out "For t-this morning."

I shake my head as I say "It wasn't your fault."

"It is...because I won't choose." she pauses before continuing "But it's like...if I had to pick between one child or the other."

I don't say anything just look down at my desk as she keeps speaking "How? How could I make that choice?"

The bell rings and I stand up in a rush making the desk move slightly as I do so. I'm just about walk away when I feel an hand on my forearm. I glance down seeing Teddy staring up at me with her big silver eyes and I don't have it in me to walk away. I give her a tentative smile before slipping my larger hand in hers and pulling her along out of the empty classroom.

We're walking down the hall in a comfortable but slightly awkward silence and I don't mind it. I don't think I could take the pain of being rejected. I'm not sure if I would be able to keep going if she chooses Ash. I'm not sure what I'd do in the end of she did. It seems so far away but I know when the time comes if it doesn't go my way there may just be hell to pay.

As we reach the cafeteria doors I can see Ash leaning next to the doors looking around. When she spots us she straightens up and heads in our direction as I mental groan in my head. She finally reaches us and I see her glance down at Teddy with a smile. I roll my eyes before looking at her and saying "Yes?"

She looks over in my direction as she says "I was wondering if you guys wanted to have lunch with me?"

I stare at her not saying anything but then hear Teddy say "Uh um yea sure."

I glance down at Teddy and just stare at her as I try not to overreact about the situation. Ash gaze travels to me as she looks at me as if asking for my approval. I just give her a slight nod of my head before we all continue walking into the cafeteria. As we walk through the doors I turn to them and say "I'll be right back."

I walk away before they can say anything in response and head to the table I usual sit at. I see everyone there except for Maddi and she's probably on her way now since she gets to the cafeteria late. I turn to Cory as I say "Hey man I'm going to be sitting with Ash today."

He stares at me before saying "Why?"

"Cause Gabriela sitting over there." I say as I run my fingers through my hair and look at the others at the table.

He shakes his head but gives me a nod waving me off. I hurry back over to where Ash and Teddy are giving everyone a smile as I move around them in the lunch line to get there. They glance at me once I get by their side but I say nothing just look down at what they got for their lunch, Teddy got the usual and Ash got some pizza.

We head over to her table after Ash pays for their food much to my complaining. She takes a seat and I sit one seat down from her. It's totally silent at the table as Victor and Victoria stare at me because I'm sitting with them. I just glance over at Teddy as she picks at her salad not really eating it. I slid my hand to her thigh making her head come up and look at me in surprise.

"You okay Teddy?" I ask as she blinks up at me a couple times.

"Uh y-yea. Why?" she asks as she places her sport down on her plate.

"You're playing with your food Teddy." I said with a small chuckle.

"Just not that hungry right now." she whispers out as Ash looks over at us.

"Want some of my pizza?" she asks as she lifts it up and brings it towards Teddy's lips.

"I just want to go home." she says to no one in particular.

"I can take you home." Ash and I both say at once.

I turn and glare at her as she does the same to me. It takes Teddy opening her mouth and asking "Can we go?"

I immediately stand and grab her tray and Ash stands and grabs her own tray from the table. We walk over to the trash together as we both throw the trays away. I come to a stop at the trash can as I say "One of us is going to lose her"

She abruptly stops as she hears my sentence. Turning back around to face me as she looks me in the eyes and says "And the fucked up thing about it is we're both use to winning, to being winners."

"It'll be the first lost of your life but I'm sure there will be many more to come if you keep going up against me." I tell her as my eyes meet hers fully.

"The sad thing about it is you honestly believe that." she tells me with a smirk on her face before she turns around and heads back to Teddy.

I watch her walk back over to the table and place her hand on Teddy's shoulder getting her attention. She whispers something to her and she stands and starts to walk with her before stopping. Teddy body turns around as she searches the cafeteria until her eyes land on me, when she stops me she waves her hand signaling me over to them. I smile to myself before I nod and make my way over to them.
