Lunch. Finally. But I'm not hungry. Never am really. I'm not really liking this already. No Tobias. And nobody can see the fake in my smile.
Well, Christina might. But I don't know. She's pretty honest about everything so far. So she might not see through me. I have a feeling she'd say something by now.
I watch my new 'friends' sit around me and laugh and talk. I have no clue how long this lasts, but Uriah seems to notice. I only say this because he nudges my shoulder.
"Tris, tell us more about this guy you were looking for?" I snap out of my thoughts and look at him.
"Well, when I was six, I lived here. All I remember was that he was always taller than me, and kind of scrawny. He also had sky blue eyes. Those are what stick in my eyes the most." The all look at me, smiling, and I realize that I may be able to call them my friends.
"Well, we know a few guys that have blue eyes." Shauna starts, "One of them is Four, but he's not here today." She pauses and sighs. "The other one is Eric. Stay away from him." She rolls her eyes, and everyone laughs.
"Why?" I ask, confused. Why wouldn't I be able to hang out with someone?
"He is the meanest person ever!" Christina yells. People turn to look at us, and I can see eyes lingering on me. I tug in my sleeves to keep from my anxiety spiking.
"Oh." Is all I manage to say. Everyone goes back to eating their food, except Will.
"Tris, why aren't you eating?" He looks suspiciously at me. I look down. I know I should be eating. I'm starving. But I hate feeling fat.
"Not hungry I guess." He nods at me, but I know he can tell that I'm lying. I half smile at him and avoid eye contact with everyone.
And finally, the bell rings. And nobody has this class with me. Good luck Tris, again.
