Tbvg tapped his foot as he sat in a small waiting room, rubbing his wrists as he kept looking down at his feet. It was quiet, except for the small child in the corner playing with a busy box while her mother sat in one of the chairs across the room; reading a magazine.
He sighed softly as he took off his visor, wiping off his sweat-drenched face "W-why the hell did I agree to this...?"
Right...the reason why he is in this therapist's office. See, after his breakdown in front of Oof; the twister man managed to persuade Tbvg to at least go to a couple of therapy sessions since he wasn't up for talking with Oof about his issues. Tbvg only believes it would go down one of two ways; the therapist not believing him or giving him drugs to neutralize the feeling.
Doesn't help that he's in a small therapist business' office. Apparently, this therapist runs a dual business; a psychiatric office and a plant store.
Maybe that's why it felt so warm...
Bringing him out of his train of thoughts; the door to the office opened. Looking to the door Tbvg saw a man around his late twenties leading the last patient out. He was wearing a white collar shirt with black dress pants, a dark royal blue coat that covered him to his lower waist. He wore dark brown dress shoes and white gloves that looked rather thin, yet sturdy enough for everyday use. On his head, he wore a cap that bore a skull patch on the front, complementing the skull button on his lapel.
(Anyone who guesses this man's reference I will admit one truth of this story so far. But I feel that only fans of this Super 64 machinima channel will get who he is :>)
"Very good today Stephan, I feel we are making great progress." The man smiled warmly "take the next few days to decompress and call me once you feel ready enough for another follow-up." The patient nodded softly, his eyes puffy from crying from what Tbvg can tell as he walked out the door and into the main plant store area.
Looking at his clipboard, the man looked up after reading the name, adjusting his glasses "Tbvg?"

Tbvg nodded and got up "Right here.." He walked over as the man moved to the side, letting him inside. Inside there was a small armchair; presumably the man's chair, and one of those long couches that Tbvg has seen in tv shows and movies. The room smelt of lavender, maybe from the potted plant by the window, and had an atmosphere that was tense, yet calming.
The man gestured to the long couch as Tbvg reluctantly walked over, taking a seat. The man sat down in his own chair and smiled calmly "Hello Tbvg, my name is Samuel M. Garrett the 3rd, but you can refer to me as Samuel or Mr.Garrett if you'd like.." Tbvg let out a weak laugh "t-the third? D-didn't believe a royal family member would be a therapist.."
Samuel let out a small hum and a nod as he looked at his clipboard "Well, just one of the standard questions out of the way. How are you feeling right now, Tbvg?"
Tbvg let out a sigh "If I'm being honest...I'm feeling like this is a waste of time and money." He answered with a frown as Samuel laughed softly "Yes, I get that a lot from inner-city thugs who get admitted to me by the law and paranoid husbands. Although from your file, you were scheduled an appointment with me by someone who said was your friend."
Tbvg sat up and messed with his fingers "Y-Yeah, my friend Oof called your place after a little...'incident'.."
Samuel looked back at the clipboard "This incident involved some form of emotional breakdown, correct?" Shivering, Tbvg dryly gulped and nodded "U-Uh-huh.." Samuel noticed his change in behavior and decided to go a different route. "But, let's not talk about that at the moment; tell me a little about yourself."
This seemed to help Tbvg calm down a little as he leaned back on the couch.
"Well, I have a small furniture store shop, to help save up some for a technology-based class at a third-rate college. I've been fascinated with video games and I wanted to take some classes to help...maybe program my own." He sighed and shook his head "You probably think it's stupid..."
Samuel shook his head and set the clipboard down "No of course not. I think coding is a very hard but interesting job to do. Hell, if I hadn't become a therapist, I would have gone down the road of making content worthy videos on youtube." Tbvg tapped his fingers on his hand, still feeling nervous but slightly relaxed. "I would like to go back sort of in the direction towards why you are here, but I would like to hear more about your friend; Oof. Do you have any others?"

Tbvg sat up and nodded "Yeah, I do...a ton actually. One wants to work for NASA, one is training to be a doctor, and one is a detective. I'm not entirely sure what the rest does for a living as of right now...but they are all really great friends. They're all funny, rather loud sometimes, and generally I really enjoy spending time with them.."
Samuel nodded and tapped his pen to his chin "Mn-hm...Now, what about Oof? Tell me, is he the one who wants to work for NASA, or the detective?"
Tbvg shook his head softly as his mood seemed more elated just thinking about him "better...he's a stunt man. Oof takes challenges head-on without any fear or hesitation so that's why when his counselor in high school recommended stunt work; since it was something Oof was practically made for..!" He smiled softly as he glanced down "He's...really courageous like that.."
"...Tell me, is he anything like the rest of your friends?"
Tbvg chuckled softly "Not in the slightest...Oof is..." He looked at his hands and smiled warmly "He's sweeter...kinder...generous...He's just-..." He leaned back "...the dream guy I've thought of during junior high.." -Okay, now it seems like he's more likely to open up..- Samuel thought as he took off his glasses.
"...Tbvg, could you tell me what you have been thinking prior to your breakdown?"
That seemed to make Tbvg tremble a bit as he didn't answer, looking away. "W-Well uh..." He seemed really nervous to say anything. Samuel noticed and set down his pen and clipboard, tilting his head "It has something to do with what you have or had said to Oof before?" Tbvg jumped and looked up "H-How did you-?"
Samuel smiled softly "You seem to care a great deal about what you say to others in a subconscious fear that you might change how others see you."
Tbvg looked at him nervously "A-And that's...okay..?"
Samuel nods "Of course, it is a natural feeling that everyone feels. It does tend to stem from having lower self-esteem growing up, you subconsciously fear if you end up saying something wrong it'll change how your friends see you. And it seems you seem much more nervous about changing how Oof sees you."
Tbvg rubbed his hands gently "w-well...t-that is true..." he held his arms "I-I get really nervous when I-I say something stupid... W-we were watching our friend's baby, and Oof looked really-really happy with the baby and I-I asked if he wanted to have any kids and it...kind of got away from me..." Samuel picked his clipboard back up "Well, hearing this does explain your mental breakdown. It wasn't so much as a breakdown due to anxiety or depression; but rather as a panic attack."
"I-Is that bad..?"
Samuel shook his head "Not in the slightest. Panic attacks are due to stress, so there is no need to prescribe any anxiety-reducing meds or anti-depressants. I recommend avoiding stressful situations for a few days and finding a relaxing hobby. Puzzle work, knitting, painting, gardening, or owning a pet are a few examples."
Tbvg blinked and tilted his head "wait, is that why your business also has a plant store?"
Samuel chuckled sheepishly "guilty, but I mostly run it in memory of my late wife.." Tbvg smiled softly and held his chest "Awww.." Samuel checked the time and got up "Well, if there is nothing else that needs to be said I believe we are done for the day." He smiled softly as Tbvg stood up.
Tbvg walked to the door and opened it himself "Thank you for your time, Samuel." Samuel smiled as Tbvg walked out the door "If at any time you feel you need to come talk to me again, my office is always open." Nodding softly, Tbvg walked out of the waiting room and into the main plant store floor.
He looked at his hands as he walked, sighing quietly "I can't help feeling stressed when I can't even tell Oof how I feel..."
The roses smelled nice in the shop entryway.
