The rest of the night didn't sit well with Nadwe, not in the slightest. Try as he might to hide it, but he knew Meme was really upset over something, but he couldn't put his finger on what. Meme was unreasonably silent the rest of the night while they were watching Dharman, but he couldn't focus. Nadwe vividly remembered that Meme was on his phone the majority of the night, texting someone. He also knew that Meme was trying his best in making Nadwe believe he was okay, so he never questioned it and watched the videos play silently.
Truth be told, Meme was desperately trying to text Socks to get him to explain what happened. He searched his entire phone, including his Discord app and found nothing, not a thing to justify why Socks asked that dreaded question.
"Are you cheating on me?"
Meme didn't want to believe that he didn't want to believe that Socks was honestly doubting his faith in him. But in turn, what was scaring Meme the MOST was whether or not SOCKS was the one cheating and trying to feign blame. The last time Meme was with someone who cheated on him, it did not end that well...
All night long, Meme was texting Socks endlessly and calling him whenever he was in a different place of the house from Nadwe. But he could not reach Socks no matter how hard he was trying to, and he was debating on telling everyone else what had happened if he couldn't get a hold of him. Eventually though, he stopped trying for the night when after two calls both said that Socks' voicemail box was full. It was now midnight, and Nadwe was still awake just trying as best he could to comfort Meme.
The Hindi broken mess of a man was crying in his sleep, holding the Socks plushie that the house held. Nadwe was sitting beside him, gently petting his head as he really didn't know what else to do. All he thought about was how much of a better help Socks would have been in this situation. Well, his prayers might have been answered, because he heard the distinctive click of the deadbolt unlocking as he quickly brightened up.
Socks was finally home! Surely, he would help Meme feel better and the three of them could have a good rest.
Or so Nadwe thought...
When he heard footsteps advancing towards the bedroom door, Nadwe quickly laid down and made it look like he was asleep for a while but peeked out of the blanket towards the door. He quickly became confused when he heard two sets of footsteps and really hushed whispering. The door creaked open as Nadwe stiffened up, remaining as quiet as he could as he saw Socks in the partial opening. Socks took one glance at the bed and noticed that Meme was asleep in it, as well as Nadwe. He groaned quietly as he quietly muttered to himself "fucking hell, He's still here" He hissed quietly as Nadwe quickly picked up the venom from his voice.

"Aw that's okay!" Another voice silently giggled. "Do you have a guest room?"
Nadwe blinked, utterly confused out of his mind as he tried to listen in but Socks and the other voice quickly disappeared out of his range. Since...Since when did Socks have two voices?
Or rather...Socks brought someone home?
The small Dhampir quickly got up and climbed out of the big bed. He walked out of the room and quickly looked around. The air stung a bit from a very strong smell that he remembers vividly from Wictoria, but it led him towards the door to the guest room. He was quickly alert when he heard noises from the other side, quietly creeping closer and closer until he put his ear to the door. Socks was definitely the one making noises but whoever or whatever the other thing was as well. Nadwe huffed quietly, he also knew that Socks would be the only one to console Meme, so he reached for the doorknob...
And slowly stopped himself, pulling his hand back. He had no clue what was going on in that room, but he quickly realized that it was none of his business. And that if he stayed here any longer, he would probably get in trouble for it. So, he decided to leave it alone and hoped Socks could help in the morning. Nadwe quietly turned around and walked back to the master bedroom, where Meme's sobs had calmed down into sniffles and hiccups. Nadwe climbed back up onto the bed and laid beside Meme, still not really sure how to help him feel better but felt like that Meme just needed to let everything he was feeling out.
He could only hope everything would go back to normal in the morning...

It was a little after midnight as the TV in Joocie's room was on, playing some random sitcom it was on quietly. Joocie was laying on his side in the bed as he was holding himself tightly, trembling softly from the frightening encounter from earlier. It had dug up too many memories and he wanted to desperately make them go away, but he kept trying to rebury them, but they kept resurfacing the more he thought about them.
Tbh had changed, he knew he had! Joocie really wanted to BELIEVE that he had! Or else these last four years would have been for nothing! And that the Tbh that Joocie had loved for all these years was the exact same Tbh as before! He didn't want to go back to how things were, he didn't want to experience all of the emotional and mental abuse with the threat of physical violence again, he didn't. He didn't he didn't he didn't he didn't he didn't he didn't he-
A soft knock at the door snapped him out of his spiral as he flinched, quickly sitting up as he was panting heavily. "Joocie...?" He took a moment to collect himself as he realized Tbh was at the door, and he sounded really sad. "Are you still up...?" Tbh quietly added as Joocie took a moment, thinking of a response. He sighed silently and nodded "yeah...you can come in, Honest..." The door slowly opened as a really sorry looking Tbh slowly came in, holding a tray of two mugs of soup.

"I uhh...I made some soup...I know it helps calm you down..." He quietly admitted as he slowly came closer. Joocie stared at him silently, watching his movements as Tbh set the tray down on his bedside table. He carefully picked up one of the mugs and a really tiny pill off the tray and handed them to Joocie. "I also got one of your valium for you...I knew you were freaking out about what happened." Joocie took those items silently and took his valium, drinking some of his soup to wash it down as he sat there silently. Tbh glanced to the side as he was fidgeting nervously, trying to find what to say.
He finally found something to say as Joocie was slowly drinking his soup "Look...I-I know I messed up real bad back there...I have no clue-" Joocie sighed softly and glanced down "I don't want to think you're becoming that person again, Tb..." Tbh paused for a moment before he looked at him, a little surprised as Joocie continued "I really...really don't want to believe you haven't changed...but, I-I don't know..." Tbh frowned a bit as he slowly reached over, grabbing his hand gently "I really want to do anything we can...please..." Joocie glanced over at him as Tbh looked really apologetic.
Joocie glanced away as he thought for a bit. "...well..." Tbh leaned in a bit closer as Joocie turned to look at him "...I know we haven't talked about this option...but we could try therapy..." He pulled his hand away and moved to face him "We both know I have major PTSD from the shit you've pulled back then and that you clearly have anger issues." Tbh huffed quietly, peeved for being called out "ugh...but fair point..." Joocie gave a soft smile as he reached over and held his hand "can we please give it a try? I really don't want to give up on us..."
Tbh looked at him for a few minutes before he nodded softly, rubbing his hand gently "okay, let's give it a try..."
Joocie smiled softly and slowly finished the rest of his soup. Tbh let go of his hand and picked up his own mug "Now can we cuddle and watch terrible movies?" Joocie snickered quietly and nodded, moving to let Tbh scoot closer to him. He gently wrapped an arm around the fluffy haired brit and pulled him closer by the waist. Tbh started drinking his own soup as the two looked at the TV at the very dumb sitcom playing.
After a while Joocie started to slowly feel warm as Tbh gently rubbing his side made it feel so...good. He tried to brush that off from just having some hot soup, but the feeling became harder to ignore slowly as Tbh kept him close and rubbed his side in slow strokes. His breathing started to become a little heavy as he closed his eyes, trying to focus on anything else. -O-oh...f-fuck...-

Opening the door to Laff's apartment, Shroobz took out the key for the lock as he escorted both Wictoria and Laff inside, both quite inebriated from drinking. He huffed quietly and forced a small smile; knowing full well that he was gonna be in deep shit with the manager. "I turn my back for 5 seconds and you two have the gall to open the fancy liquor cabinet." He muttered as he chuckled softly. Wictoria had taken a seat on the couch as Laff was trying to do the same, but his vision was so wobbly from drinking he fell just a few feet short.
Shroobz moved over and picked Laff up by his arm, gently setting him down on the couch "Holy hell you two are wasted." He laughed quietly as Laff held his head, giggling along with him when he didn't have a clue why. "You two need anything before I Vamos?"
"S-Shroobzzz mate can I ask you somethinggggg real fast lad please?" Laff slurred out as Shroobz nodded "What's up?" Laff leaned forward a little too much and said in a horrible, hushed whisper "Do you THINK I haaaavee a chancceee tooo...you knowwwwww..." He gestured widely to Wictoria who was fascinated by a magazine with a color wheel on it. Shroobz almost instantly understood and chuckled softly "Laff, if you wanna have sex with her, then by all means. But-" He poked his cheek "You PROBABLY shouldn't when you are this wasted. Don't want to get into any trouble." Laff scoffed and waved his hand "Oh PFFF, L-Like I would get in troublleeeee..."
"I'm sure you are too wasted to not know what I mean. Just-" Shroobz snickered quietly "-THINK before you do anything tonight, okay?" Laff snickered and nodded, giggling like a child as Shroobz stood up and walked over to Wictoria "You alright?" Wictoria looked at him and slumped over "Y-Yeahh...I'm okay!" She giggled as Shroobz rolled his eyes with a smile "Well alright you two, get some rest, okay?" He went to walk out the door as he stopped "Oh, and Tori?" He walked back to Wictoria as Laff was examining his own hand, Wictoria looked confused.
Shroobz reached into his wallet and pulled out a condom packet, handing it over to Wictoria. She looked at it perplexed as Shroobz put his wallet away "Just- you two are really drunk and I wouldn't want you two doing anything you'd regret." Wictoria nodded slowly as Shroobz smiled softly, walking out of the apartment and locking the door behind him. He stood there for a moment as he was second guessing his decision to leave his two very drunk friends alone.
"...Eh, I'm sure they will be fine." He turned and walked down the hallway, effectively leaving the two alone.

Journeys in the Fairworld: The Gatekeeper
Lindsey Fluger was only slightly past eighteen. There was nothing particularly special about her, save that she happened to be the right person at the right time. When Lindsey is asked to join an expedition to another world she makes the mistake of saying yes, plunging herself into a sea of perilous adventure and dark intrigue. Journeys in the Fairworld is a fantasy anthology series set in The Fairworld, a magical realm existing in parallel with our own world which is governed by a group elfin beings known only as “The Good Folk”. These mysterious entities work in secret to keep the peace between the myriad of peoples and nations which dwell in The Fairworld. Complex relationships and bitter rivalries emerge against a backdrop of constrained resources and conflicting values to produce a world of high adventure and tangled mysteries. This novel is technically already completed, and I am currently in the final stages of proofing or editing. As such, there may be a few typos and errors here and there. The final version should be about 130,000 words long, which I will be releasing in stages as I continue editing. I'd love to hear your feedback and comments!
