《Alone (Joocie X Laff!)》13

Laff's point of view (present time):
And that's how we got here. Fighting a losing battle with little hope of returning home. Well, only a spark of hope; but it's hope nonetheless.
______
The cries of war echoed through the battlefield, possible the last we'd ever hear. 14 left.
13.
12.
11.
10.
9.
9 left. It was only nine vs 1,000. At least, that's what we thought. Each individual dodging sword attacks like their lives depended on it. Because, well, they did. Blood stained the once green grass; bodies were scattered in every direction for at least a half a kilometer. Broken and blood stained swords were stuck in the ground, even arrows were lying around. Screams of pain could be heard for kilometers around us, and swords clashing together could be heard as well. Part of me felt like it was somewhat peaceful; like I'd lived this way my whole life. That's because I pretty much have.
The few of us that did remain were fighting like there was no tomorrow; for some of us there wouldn't be. Only some though.
A loud horn could be heard in the distance; one that seemed quite familiar.... Suddenly row after row more soldier came marching in.
The Kingdom of Zilk, one of our smallest allies had an army of around 25,000 men and women. I wondered how they possibly could've grown the army that much over the span of a year, by didn't question it out loud.
Their commander, who I learned was named Blaza, had come over to me.
"Hello there Laff! It's been a whole hasn't it?" He asked.
"How- where- when? How'd your army grow so much!?"
"Formed an alliance with another kingdom, then we just kind of became one. When we heard your army was in trouble we rushed to help."

"Wow! Thank you so much!"
"Not a problem. Now let's show these bitches who's boss, huh?"
I quickly nodded and Blaza blew the horn once more. All of his army began to attack. We were winning.
I wasn't paying very much attention though.... I only snapped back into reality upon feeling an extreme pain shoot through my leg. And when I looked down.... It was an arrow straight through my heel. I guess Blaza noticed, because when I fell over he immediately rushed to my side to help.
"Oh my goodness! How can I help you?"
"I'll be fine," I responded.
"You have arrow through your heel!"
"I mean.... It's not the first time this has happened."
I wasn't lying, it happened once when I was 14. Same heel too.
"I'll go get a medic, they know what they're doing," he said before running off.
You know I found it kind of odd.... It would've been so easy to kill me then and there, but Pika must've been to busy fighting Zilk because nobody did come to kill me. Minutes later Blaza rushed to my side with a medic who introduced himself as Meme. He told me to close my eyes and that it'd hurt...
Then he just like.... Yanked the arrow out of my leg. It wasn't as painful as I thought it'd be though. He had to disinfect it after that, and then I just sat with Blaza watching Zilk completely destroy Pika. Apparently there was a single soldier of mine left.
