Author's note: I may or may not have gotten the inspiration to write this while watching my school play against another one.

Sport has always been one of Tbh's passions, handball to be exact. He's gotten hurt quite a lot while playing handball, but he didn't care that much, he'd always just continue playing.

Today was a big day, they were finally playing against another school. Tbh was beyond excited he just couldn't wait to win this game.

His team trained twice as hard now, they would pour their sweat, blood and tears into training.

To say Tbh was the best was an understatement, he was widely popular in his school everyone envied him.

Soon came the day for the competition, all players came to the field.

Before Tbh could even sort out his thoughts the other schools were coming. Busses full of college students like himself pulled into his school's parking lot. Tbh felt both enthusiastic and scared, he didn't know what to expect it was his team's first competition, his first competition.

Slowly the busses began to empty, Tbh watched carefully inspecting the three teams. The first two didn't seem as much of a threat, but the third team. Just by looking at the captain Tbh knew they were gonna be a problem.

Slowly each school started to introduce themselves, Tbh didn't pay much attention to the first two, but when it was the third team time Tbh listened carefully.

Their captain weirdly didn't say anything instead the team was introduced by their coach. Everyone except the team was a little stunned, for them it seemed to be usual.

The teams then finally separated everyone going to different changing rooms. Tbh's team as they were the host were the first ones to play against team number two. They won easily now getting some time to rest.

Team one and two played next, team two losing again and getting disqualified. After some time, team three and Tbh's team came out on top, now fighting in the finale.

Tbh stood in the centre-right across the quiet captain. He was intimidating both in his height and by the way he was looking at Tbh. Now Tbh was tall 5'11 to be exact, the tallest one in his team, but the other captain was 6'ft and looming over Tbh.

They started playing and the game was pretty tame at the start, up until Tbh wasn't looking at the ball, he was more focused on stopping the other team's captain from getting the ball.

He stood in front of the captain when the ball hit him hard breaking his nose. Tbh stumbled backwards into the man holding onto his bloody nose.

The captain gently holds him up by the shoulders as he asks Tbh "Are you okay?"

Tbh now startled by the man moves away from him still holding onto his broken nose. Tbh's teammate approaches the two placing a hand on Tbh's shoulder. "What are you doing to our captain?! He should be disqualified!" The teammate yelled pointing his finger at the team captain.

From behind the other captain comes another player. "Why should our captain be disqualified? You should be thanking him for saving your captain from falling on that flat ass of his."

The other team erupts into chuckles before the captain turns to them giving them a quick glare at which everyone grows quiet.

He nudges the player in the ribs with his elbow.

"You can't be serious?" The captain just nodded looking at him disappointedly.

"I'm sorry for the comment I made. It was very unprofessional of me." He says annoyed before turning around and walking over to the rest of the team.

"You should be sorry! You and that excuse of a captain you have!" Tbh's teammate yells before Tbh interrupts him. "Enough. Stop being an asshole."

"Tbh look at him! He doesn't even speak and he's standing there looking at you weirdly." He says mentioning the other captain. "You don't know anything about him, don't spread lies."

He huffs just walking away.

Tbh looks at the other captain who's looking right at him with a small smile on his face. Tbh feeling little uncomfortable flashes him a small smile before walking away.

The bell rings and halftime is over and Tbh walks to the bathroom groaning at how much his broken nose hurts.

"Cmon captain don't be so dramatic, you can live through it. We need to win this and we can't do it without you."

Tbh groans again splashing his face with water to make himself feel a little better.

"You know that this is a friendly competition right? This isn't a real one."

"Still wouldn't it be nice to have that gold medal." His teammate says as he gets closer to Tbh. "That would bring all the girls to us." He says hopefully and Tbh just rolls his eyes.

"Anyways I'm off to stretch, see you on the field captain," he says flicking Tbh's head who again groans.

Tbh is washing his face when he hears the water go off and someone washing their hands. Tbh finally looks up water dripping down his now very pale sick looking face.

His eyes meet the gaze of the other captain.

"Hm?" Tbh mutters feeling dizzy and unsteady, he struggles to stand.

"That looks very bad, are you okay?"

"I'm fine I don't need your pity. It's only a nose bleed."

"I think you got hit in the head really hard you've got a huge bruise forming."

Tbh stumbles again this time leaning on the sinks for support.

"Are you okay? You seem dizzy."

"As I said I'm fine and ugh I don't need your pity."

The other captain lifts his hands in defence and Tbh stumbles past him.

"Wierdo" Tbh mutters walking off before the other man can reply to him.

The game starts and Tbh plays for solid 15 minutes before collapsing on non-other than the other captain.

He was standing in front of the captain before the dizziness hit him and he fell backwards luckily getting caught by the man behind him. Seeing as Tbh is dizzy and not able to stand straight by himself the captain calls the coach, after explaining the situation to the coach he nods before calling out.

"We will stop the game for a minute so all of you get sorted out, the team captains are not doing well so we'll excuse them."

Suddenly one of Tbh's players calls out. "C'mon they can't just leave the competition! That's not how they usually do it, they should just continue to play."

The coach turns around looking at him before mentioning for the player to come closer. "Now everyone listen to me, this is no competition or " real game" this is a friendly game between four colleges. We are doing this for fun and practice, so no need to have anyone hurt, alright?"

The coach turns back to the captain who's still holding Tbh up from behind. "Do you need any help?"

"Could you just help me get his arm around my shoulders?" The coach nods doing exactly what was said.

The captain slowly carried the dizzy man through the hallways leading him to the infirmary despite Tbh's protests.

As soon as they enter the infirmary a small nurse approached them. "Hello, you must be the captain the coach told me about. Nice to meet you." She says stretching out his hand which the captain only mentions to Tbh.

She giggles "Sorry sorry, can you sit him down on the bed." He nods and as soon as he approaches the bed Tbh pushes himself away from the other man barely making it to the bed.

Tbh huffs barely able to speak. "Don't touch me anymore." He says looking at him.

Suddenly the captain leaves. The nurse enters the room moments after he left. "Ah, your friend left, how sad he was quite attractive." Tbh just shakes his head.

"It's been a while you came here, you're in very bad shape." She says through gritted teeth. Soon the door opens again and the captain walks back in with some food and drinks.

"That's very smart of you, you boys must be exhausted." She says only looking at the captain who was standing at the doorway. Only when he mentions the hurt Tbh does she break her gaze.

"Owh yeah, I'll fix him up in a minute. You can wait in the hallway or sit next to the bed." He just exists the room without a word said.

10 minutes later and the nurse walks out. "What are you to him?" He looks at her questionably. "Tbh has a history of not taking care of himself and he needs to drink this new medicine, so could you help me with that?"

He's quiet for a minute, before finally speaking up. "Yes miss" She smiles widely as she handles him some painkillers and the new medicine. "Here you go"

He enters the room to find Tbh sitting upright holding onto his head. He approaches him quietly before stretching his hand out. Tbh notices the painkillers and takes them, giving the other captain a small thank you.

Tbh suddenly feels dizzy again and before he knows it the other captain is laying him down on the bed.

He sits on the chair next, they fall into a moment of silence. "What's your name? This whole time you've been helping me and I don't even know your name" Tbh says with a groan as he turns his head to look at the man.

"Laffengas," he says bluntly. "Cool, mine's Tbh." He hears a small chuckle coming from the side. "What's so funny?" He asks him seeing Laff just smile at him. "I already knew your name. I mean your teammates were yelling it all the time."

Tbh slightly blushes turning his head towards the ceiling. "Mhm, I guess you're right."

They fall into a moment of silence. "Are you hungry? You should eat more you're very light" Tbh fastly turns his head towards staring at the man. "How would you know that?"

"How do you think you got here? You didn't just teleport over here." Tbh is silent for a minute before he speaks up again. "So...You were the one to bring me here?"

"Yeah I was, now eat something you can't stay that light." He says tossing a bag of goodies towards Tbh. With a little bit of struggle, Tbh sits up eating the things Laff brought.

"Thank you, but you didn't have to do any of this"

Tbh says slowly munching on his food. "You're very impressive," Laff says not paying attention.

"Ah thank you." Tbh says startled a little by the sudden compliment. "You still managed to play great even when sick, I like your spirit." Tbh doesn't respond thinking Laff is just making fun of him.

As soon as they finish their food Laff passes Tbh a bottle of water, they both take a sip, Tbh going for another one as Laff falls quiet for a minute.

"I want you in my team" Laff suddenly says placing his hand on Tbh's shoulder and looking at him. Tbh still in the middle of drinking spits his water out. "You what?"

Laff relaxes in his chair. "I want you in my team" Tbh grows quiet for a moment before reluctantly asking. "Why would you ever want me in your team?"

"You've got a lot of potential, you're a great player, but this team of yours is pulling you behind. They're the reason you can't advance as fast as you should. Give me a chance to give you a good team and you'll see how much you'll improve."

Tbh is stunned by the man simply staring at him. "So would you like to join?"

Tbh moves his gaze into his lap thinking about it for a minute.

"I don't know what my coach will say."

"I can get that sorted out for you, the decision is all up to you."

Tbh thought about it and realised the coach would never let him join so he reluctantly agreed just to see the captain being turned down.

They stayed in the infirmary for a little more making casual small talks. Tbh just then realised how fun of a guy Laff was.

Suddenly Laff gets up stretching. "I think I should go, the game has finished I wanna see how my team did." Laff smiles at Tbh walking away, but before he opens the door Tbh calls out for him.

"Mind helping me get there I'm still a little dizzy, but I wanna see my team." Laff nods approaching Tbh who's successfully sat on the side of the bed.

Laff sits next to him snaking his hand around Tbh's waist and placing Tbh's arm around his shoulders. Next Laff stands up successfully hoisting Tbh up with himself.

"Are you okay?" Laff asks him holding onto Tbh a little stronger. "I'm okay, a little dizzy. My legs feel wobbly." Laff just chuckles. "Let's take a step shall we?"

"Yes, thank you for the warning." Slowly they make it to the field Tbh barely holding himself up.

Suddenly they stop only halfway to the field. "Are you sure you're okay? Don't want you getting hurt" Tbh dismisses the question just saying he's okay.

As soon as the two walk to the field Laff's team notices them first they run to their captain happily. The first one to approach them is Laff's best friend. "Need any help captain?"

"I think your captain would greatly appreciate it," Tbh answers noticing how Laff's tired from helping him walk all this time. The guy puts Tbh's arm around his shoulders and transfers Tbh's weight onto himself letting Laff rest.

Laff jogs to his team where they all start hugging him and celebrating. Tbh and the guy stand and look from afar. "Hey if you don't mind why do you need help standing up?"

"I got hit in the head hard so I feel dizzy and uncoordinated now."

"I see, you're the one who collapsed on our captain?"

Tbh looks at Laff who's laughing and cheering with his team.

"Yeah." He silently watches surprised by the fact Laff left the game to tend to him.

"Let's get you to your team." The teammate helps Tbh. While waiting for his team Tbh looks around noticing Laff who's talking to his coach. Sooner than Tbh expected, his teammates arrived, everyone with a sour look.

"Oh, captain you're finally back."

"Yes, I am, I'm feeling better now."

The player looks him up and down, the two of them staying in silence for a minute.

"You didn't look sick to being with, I think you just got bored and wanted to leave."

Tbh's smile disappears as he looks at the other players expecting someone to say something, but they stay quiet.

"Look captain with all respect, but we lost because of you." They slowly start to walk away leaving Tbh who sits on the bench blaming himself for how bad his team competed.

Suddenly his coach along with Laff and the other coach approach Tbh. "So Tbh Laffengas here proposed a good deal to me." Tbh looks at Laff who's standing and looking right back at him.

"He asked if I would let you join their team." He continues now approaching and sitting next to Tbh. "Honestly I'm okay with that, you are a great player, but this team of yours is bringing you down. After seeing how badly they played without you today I realised how much pressure you were under. You deserve a good team who can match you."

Tbh looks at this coach in disbelief he stays quiet for a second before speaking. "But coach this team is like a family, wouldn't you miss your best player?"

His coach looks at him with a small smile. "Of course, I would miss my best player. As you said this team is like a family, but family always wants the best for each other, I think this is the best for you. You deserve to play with great players, to achieve big things and to win many competitions. But at the end of the day, it's your choice."

Tbh swallows looking at Laff one more time before turning back to his coach. "I accept. I want to join them." His coach hugs him before congratulating him. Soon his coach gets up going to tell the other players the news, Laff slowly approachs him sitting next to his new player.

"I'm glad to have you on the team." He says breaking the silence and Tbh just nods. Angry shouts can be heard approaching them. Suddenly one of Tbh's players is right in front of them pointing his finger at Tbh in a disgusted manner.

Tbh gets up having enough of his team disrespecting him, he grabs the guy's wrist twisting it. "Listen here I'm not gonna have you disrespect me anymore, I'm no longer a part of your team so I don't need to tolerate your bullshit." Just as he finishes he punches the guy in the stomach making him bend over.

His old team stands there surprised nobody moving a muscle as Tbh waddles back to the bench collapsing down on it next to Laff.

They're quiet for a moment before Laff starts giggling. "What's so funny?" Tbh asks turning to the still giggling man. "I can't say I exactly expected that"

This time Tbh chuckles. "Just had enough of them sorry." Laff relaxes on the bench leaning onto it and closing his eyes. "It's alright."

After a minute Laff gets up with a groan stretching his arms in the air. "You good?" Laff asks Tbh who's busy playing on his phone, Tbh looks up from his phone. "I'm fine."

"That's good," Laff says scratching the back of his neck. "Well I'm just gonna" he mentions to the field and Tbh just nods.

Laff walks off to find his teammates. "How did it go?" one of the team mates asks. "We won. Tbh accepted." There's nothing but loud cheers for Tbh. Then a moment later a voice yells out. "Hey captain!" Laff stops and turns to find a group of guys running towards him. "Congratulations captain, you did it." One of the guys shouts.

Laff smiles. "Thanks I guess, but it wasn't me who did it."

"Come on lets celebrate with you guys! We need some beers after such an exciting game." They walk to the bar and order some drinks.

Tbh feels awkward being surrounded by all these people he doesn't know.

He tries walking alongside Laff but he finds he has no coordination to move properly, he quickly goes behind his coach trying to regain his balance.

Tbh follows Laff and the coach, when suddenly Laff notices him, he approaches Tbh carefully before pulling an arm around Tbh's waist and helping him walk alongside them.

"Here take my hand," Laff tells Tbh smiling.

Tbh just nods grabbing hold of Laff's hand and allowing himself to lean on him while walking towards the beer pong table where there's a few people drinking away.

When Tbh sits down he immediately leans on Laff's shoulder.

Tbh's face starts burning up, he quickly pulls himself away hoping Laff doesn't notice.

"Tbh, are you okay?" Laff asks concerned.

"I'm fine really just thirsty." Tbh replies trying to avoid eye contact.

"Okay... well just drink some water will ya?" Laff asks taking a bottle from the table and handing it to Tbh. Tbh takes the bottle opening it then chugs it down. Laff smiles at him.

"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." Laff mentions.

"Why would you make me uncomfortable? I'm just not used to physical touch. Sorry I probably made it weird by clinging on to you." Tbh apologizes looking down and putting the empty bottle down.

"Nah don't worry about it, I was just concerned because you seemed uncomfortable." Laff reassures him.

"No seriously I'm fine, it's just been awhile" Tbh explains looking at Laff trying to explain. "But thank you for asking."

For some seconds the two fall into silence again, and before Tbh knows it his eyelids begin to drop making Laff laugh at him. "Come one, let's get you to bed." Laff helps the half drunk Tbh up who's starting to drift off leaning on his shoulder.

Laff looks around him confused as he walks past the empty parking lot and through the gate leading to Tbh's college. He looks at Tbh whose asleep in his arms sleeping peacefully. His hair falls messily on his forehead his mouth slightly open, Laff feels himself smile.

Soon someone sees them and waves. He approaches Laff carefully . "Is he okay?"

"Yeah he just fell asleep." He replies while still holding on to Tbh.

"Who are you to him?" He asks looking Laff up and down with a raised brow.

"I'm his teammate, we play handball together."
