Nagisa's pov

It's been a week since I graduated and a week since my mom got killed in a car crash and now I'm talking to a demon who says he is my grandfather... Let's fall back a bit

-Flashback to a week ago-

I was at home after the graduation ceremony, my mom didnt even attend it and she wasnt at home as well

I waited for her to come home for hours until it was already night time and the doorbell rang

I opened the door to be greeted not by my mom but a lady in a suit with two men behind her also in suits

"Are you Nagisa Shiota?" The lady asked

"Yes, that's me. Who are you?" I asked

"I'm Akira. The two behind me are my colleagues, Haru and Kaito. Were from the child protection agency. May we come in and talk with you?" Akira said with a sad smile

I let them in and showed them the living room. We sat down and Akira sighed a heavy sigh

"There's no way for me to say it gently but... Nagisa... I'm sorry to say this but your mother is dead..." Akira said

"W-W-What? That can't be... How did she die?" I managed to say with a crack in my voice

"She got into an accident with a truck this morning. The paramedics rushed her into the hospital only for her to die, two hours after her arrival..." Akira said

"..." I stayed silent with my head bowed down and tears falling down to my lap

"I really am sorry for your loss, but we cannot let you stay here on your own since you are still a minor. You have to come with us please." Akira said with a sad look on her face

"Can I please stay here for a while? I-I need some time alone." I said my voice cracking

"I can't let you do that. You need-"

"Please..." I cut her off looking at her straight dead on the eyes

Akira sighed and said "... Alright, you can stay for a week until you get sent to an orphanage. I'll be personally checking in on you on Morning, Lunch and Night for the whole week and giving you food when I visit as well but if I ever found out that you are doing something fishy, I will send you to the orphanage so you can be supervised. Is that okay with you?" Akira proposed, her colleagues were about to say something but she just held up her hand shutting them both up

"Yes. Thank you very much." I said with a sad smile

We talked for a while and they gave me dinner until before they leave

I ate my dinner, cleaned up and went to sleep, crying saying "First dad, then koro-sensei and now you mom?..." before I got knocked out from being emotionally drained

As days went by Akira kept visiting everyday and bringing me food like she said until she said something to me that shocked me

"We found your grandfather." She said

"What do you mean? Both my grandparents are dead.." I said looking confused

"Not your maternal grandparents. Your paternal grandparent. Your Father's father. He said he would like to meet you tomorrow. What do you think?" Akira said with a smile

"Sure!" I said with a smile feeling happy that I still have family somewhere in this world

"Great! I'll call him tonight. I'll be going now and don't forget to eat your dinner alright?" Akira said

"Alright." I said waving goodbye and ate my dinner then got ready for bed. Watched a bit of t.v. and went to bed after I was feeling tired. I went to sleep happy for tomorrow

As the night went by Akira came and dropped off some food in a hurry to prepare for my grandfather's arrival. I ate my breakfast and got ready for the day feeling anxious while waiting for them to come here at any moment

I heard the doorbell ring and went to open it to be greeted by Akira and standing behind her are two people, the older one stood over 6ft tall with a white moustache and glasses on his face while the other one seems to be his butler with red hair and eyes

"Nagisa, meet Sullivan your grandfather and his butler Opera." Akira introduced them

I was staring at the two new faces, I didnt realise I was staring for too long

"Oh... Uhm... I'm sorry, I'm Nagisa." I said embarrassed

"It's alright." Sullivan said

"Come in. Come in, make yourselves at home." I said ushering them in

And as they go inside to the living room and all of them sat down

I smiled at my newly found grandfather and looked over at Akira, only to see her looking frozen on the spot

My grandfather looked like he knew what I was thinking about and said "Dont worry about her, I just stopped time so we can talk Nagisa-chan." he smiled

-End of Flashback-

"Who are you? What do you want? Are you really my grandfather?" I asked on high alert wishing I could get a knife to at least protect myself to some extent

"To answer your question. My name is Sullivan and the one behind me is my servant Opera. We are demons from the nether world and we just wanted to come here and see my grandson in the flesh." He said with a happy look on his face, as he suddenly got horns and a tail as well as Opera but with cat like ears and tail instead

"So you two are demons and I'm really your biological grandson?" I asked not phased at all

"You're taking this quite well..." Opera said in a monotone

"Hehehe..." I nervously chuckled as I scratched the back of my head

"Well... Nagisa as hard as it may seem but I really am your biological grandfather. You see back where we are from not many people know about this but I had a son. I loved him so much that I ended up protecting him from the world around him. Never letting him go outside to experience what it was like out there. You have to understand that I loved my son and did it to protect him from the ongoing war at the time in the nether world." Sullivan said with a smile but I knew he was faking it

"What happened to him?" I asked

"They got into a heated argument, resulting to him running away, never to be seen again." Opera said

"Then how did you know I was here?" I asked looking at the older demon

"It was because of the demon border patrol found a body near the border to the human world holding a letter addressed to me. They called me and asked to come to their headquarters. I went there and was shown where the body was only to see it was the body of my son. You should have seen their faces when they found out that I had a son, hehehe... I took the letter and went home... For so long I was in grief that I didn't even read the letter that was left to me, afraid that after reading the last words my son left me, he would really be gone... I got the courage to read the letter to find out that he had forgiven me and understood why I was being too protective of him and that I had a grandson. When I found out that I have a grandchild, I was over the moon but soon realized that I have a grandson that I haven't even met yet. I kept reading the letter to find out you were in the human world... So I went to find you in secret. I didnt where you live in japan and the only picture I have of you is when you were just a newborn baby but I knew the moment that human show came on where the news of a woman got into an accident was the wife of my late son and so after days of planning I got to finally meet my grandson..." Sullivan explained

then bowed his head and started to shake violently

"Uhm... Grandpa? Are you okay?" I asked worried

"NAGISA CALLED ME GRANDPA! I'M SO HAPPY! COME GIVE YOUR GRANDPA A HUG! NAGISA-KUN!" Sullivan screamed with tears rolling down his eyes tackling me into a hug making me chuckle nervously with a sweat drop

"I know this might be sudden and all with your mother dying and finding out your half demon but would you like to live with me? I know what you're about to say bu-" Sullivan got cut off

"Sure." I said with a smile

"t please think this through... What?" Sullivan looked at me shocked

"Sure, I'll live with you if you can prove you're really my grandfather first then sure." I said with a smile

He gave me a happy smile with tears in his eyes then went into his suit's inner pockets and brought out two photos

One was him, opera and another man standing in front of a fire place, looking like a noble family. The other was The same man from the first one hugging my mom who was holding a baby version of me in the hospital

"You really are my grandfather..." I said then looked at him

He nodded still with tears in his eyes and a smile on his face

"So do you believe me now?" He asked making me nod my head with a smile

"So how do we go back to your home? And what about the child protection agency, they might think that you kidnapped me when we suddenly vanished out of sight? And-" I got cut off

"Dont worry about that. I will erase your existence here in the human world including data about you. They wont even know you ever existed and for your education, I will personally enroll you to babyls. It's a school for demons. Dont worry the school year starts in about 1 month enough time to teach you some of the basics of the nether world and magic." Sullivan explained

That got me excited, I already know how to assassinate to some extent but learning magic sounds so cool!

"Can I pack some of my things before we go?" I asked

"Sure." Grandpa said

"I will help Nagisa-sama." Opera said

As I packed everything I own and held dear with the help of Grandpa and Opera. As we finished,, packing, Grandpa snapped his fingers and a bubble formed around me and our surroundings changed

Grandpa was flying with me on tow inside the bubble while Opera was carrying my stuff right behind us

I was looking around the new environment until Grandpa said "Welcome to the Netherworld, Nagisa-kun. I casted a spell on you so you can understand the netherworld's language. Look over there Nagisa." He pointed and in the distance a huge castle was seen

"That's going to be your new home." Grandpa added with a smile

We traveled for sometime until we reached our destination until in the blink of an eye, I was in the middle of a room sitting in a chair surrounded by presents while wearing a bib

Grandpa got on one leg and grabbed both my hands and said with a smile "Welcome to your new home Nagisa-kun."
