《Welcome To Demon School! Ryūko-chan & Iruma-kun [Volume I]》Chapter XVII [Run, Ryūko & Iruma, To Kiriwo!]
Currently, the demon school Babyls is trapped inside of an invisible cube, as well as the indivisual buildings within he school compound. "There are walls everywhere..." Said Iruma. "It's a giant wall-like barrier..." Said Lavande. "Is there a wall there, as well?" Asked Asmodeus to Clara, who was touching something invisible the whole time. "Nope!" Said Clara, turns out she was pretending there was something there. "" Shouted Asmodeus. "Guys, wait..." Ryūko spoke up with an insecure expression, "This is a barrier, as you have said so, Asmodeus-san. Does this barrier belong to... "
Meanwhile, all the other students were slowly falling into panic. Some tried to break the barriers down, but no avail. The four Student Council members rushed into the Student Council Office, where Ameri was located. "President, the panic is spreading further!" Said one of the Student Council members, "Apparaently the invisible walls, or barriers, are all around the schoo-" They collided into an invisible wall. "There's one in here, too?" Asked one of them. Another member was able to find a gap and they went through it. "What shall we do?" Asked the demon with glasses. "A barrier, eh? Barrier..." Ameri went into her thoughts, "Come to think of it, there was a classic scene where they had a pane of glass between them. Kakeru had run away from the evil organisation and had to hide..."
"President?"
Ameri snapped out of her thoughs and slammed her hand on the table. "Do not panic! We, the Student Council, should set an example for the rest of the students." Said Ameri firmly, "If we're panicking, the other students willpanic even more. Calmly assess the current situation and make sure the students are safe." "" Saluted the other verbally before leaving the room. "What in the world is going on?" Questioned Ameri before she bumped into another barrier.
With Naberius Kalego & Balse Robin...
After Robin finsihed his skewer, he inspected the wall, that is, of course, transparent to the eye. "Upsy-daisy! Hm... I wonder what this barrier is." Said Robin before he hit his stick on the barrier, "Take that! It won't even budge! It's so hard! Oh, I know! This must be some kind of suprise!" "A suprise?" Asked Kalego. "Who do you think this suprise is from, Acting Chair-Demon Kalego?" Asked Robin. "Stop calling me that! Move." Instructed Kalego, he then held his hand up, "" He summoned a giant, yellow Ceberus, where it proceeded to destroy the wall in front of him.
Robin was more than impressed and exclaimed: "Wow! That's so awesome!" Unfortunately, the wall repaired itself, leaving Robin to question this process. "What is this? How much magic is necessary to make a barrier like this?" Asked Kalego deep in thought, "Someone who's a Tet (9)... No... This is something that can only be destroyed by a Yodh-ranked (10) demon's magic... Is this also connected to the fact that, that fool of a Chair-Demon being detained? Someone had him confined so he wouldn't be able to destroy this barrier?" He then told Robin to follow him to the management warehouse. Though Robin told him there was a wall, he asked how were they going to get through it. That question was unecessary, because Kalego summoned Cerberobuth again to temporarily destroy the wall, so getting to the management warehouse was no issue. "S-Such a powerful move! You're so amzing, Acting Chair-Demon!" Complimented Robin before Kalego stopped walking. " A suprise, eh? Newbie, I will use your idea." Said Kalego before he placed his index and middle finger on his ear; sort like using the walkie-talkie, but without the actual portable radio, in order to communicate with the other teachers, "Dali-sensei."

"Kalego-sensei! This seems to be an emergency!" Said Dali, the golden-brown haired teacher, "The students are panicking and... Huh? I see!" Kalego seemed to have an idea that will calm everyone down for the time being. The school bell rang, gaining the attention of the students. "Hello, students! Can you hear me?" Asked Dali on the intercom of the broadcasting site, "Were you suprised? Have no fear! This is a suprise event constructed by the New Magic Battler and the Game Battler. This whole school is maze!" This confused the said Battlers, because neither the New Magic Battler nor the Game Battler knew anything about this, "Avoid and get past the invisible walls and head to the goal! The goal is the central plaza. We even have prizes for the winners! Look forward to them! Move fast, everyone!" Dali pressed the intercome button to end his announcement before he turned to the Broadcast Battler, "And...that's it for the act. Thanks a lot, Broadcast Battler members." "Sure... Are you sure this is alright, Dali-sensei?" Asked the Battler President, "There's nothing about this in the program." "Well, it's a suprise, after all!" Said Dali with his finger on his ear, "Right, Kalego-sensei?" Kalego replied with a "yes", "We can't let this ruin the party. I'll make sure to talk to the New Magic Battler and the Game Battler later. Leave it to me!"
"That should calm things down for a little while." Said Kalego, who was with Robin in front of the management warehouse, "We need to make sure there's no mass confusion among the students. However... All teachers in the central plaza, take roll and guide all the students who get there. The rest of you, try to determine why is this happening." He then turned to Robin and ordered him to be of assistance. "Yes, Sir!" Saluted Robin, "What should I do?" They entered the management warehouse, there were various documents inside. "Everything we need to know about Babyls is here." Said Kalego, "Anyone who can create a barrier is a suspect. We're going to narrow them down." "From all these files? Really?" Asked Robin.
At The Central Plaza
The majority of students have made it to the central plaza. Ameri approached a teacher and said: "Blushenko-sensei. We'd like to assist." "Thank you. Take care not to make the others nervous." Said Blushenko, the teacher that sort of resembled a crow. Ameri instructed her Student Council members to smile before they splitted up in different directions. "Don't make the others nervous?" Wondered Ameri, "So something is happening. What could it be though? I wonder if Ryūko and Iruma got through safely."
In The Management Warehouse
As Kalego and Robin were narrowing down some students to find a suspect, the prestigious teacher received his first report from his fellow colleague, Morax Momonoki. "Reporting. The whole school is surrounded by a barrier." Reported Momonoki, "Leaving and entering are impossible." "Understood. Thank you for the report." Said Kalego before getting another report, this time, from Dali. "Can you hear me, Kalego-sensei?" Asked Dali. "Yes." Replied Kalego. "We can't contact anyone outside of Babyls." Said Dali, "It appears that the devi-comms are only possible within the barrier. We'll keep trying." The next report to Kalego was that 80% of the students have assembled at the central plaza. "80%? That too fast. It's as though... gathering in the plaza was what they wanted..." Noted Kalego.

In Kiriwo's Secret Room
Kiriwo smiled as he put on a pair of gloves before he created a holographic layout of the school towers. "In great shape!" Exclaimed Kiriwo, he then noticed three blue dots on his hologram, "Uh-oh, you're goin' the wrong way." He lifted his hand, making one of those three students bump into an invisible wall, effectively guiding them to the right way. "Yup. That's the way. There you go." Said Kiriwo before he gently stroked his hand on the hologram, "Good boys. This is basically a rat maze. If they go the wrong way, I just need to guide them until they're all trapped. I'm gonna be blowin' all of you up with some fireworks. It'll be glorious. And I'll be watchin' from the best seat in the house. I'm expectin' you to give it all you've got,-" He snapped his fingers and moved his magical apparatus down to the floor, "Or rather... ." The firework shell to the top of the apparatus and lands on the blue cushion. He turned on the switch and the inner space of the apparatus emitted a pink light as the firework shell glowed up. "You and I are the only ones in this room." Smiled Kiriwo, "No one can get in-"
Suddenly, his hand twitched as he found two blue dots moving up the stairs in a fast pase. "What's this? They're not headin' to the central plaza." Said Kiriwo, "They're headin' to this room. Somethin's wrong. They're way too fast. They're gettin' through the gaps in the barrier with presision. Who are they, and how are they doin' this? Oh, I get it. It must be Ryūko-chan and Iruma-kun. They must be reactin' to my choker again." He touched his choker, but remembered that he destroyed the stone, meaning that those two wouldn't be able to track him down. So, how is this possible?
To answer that question, we have to rewind a little. Back to where Ryūko and her group was in the hallway. The heterochromiatic girl mentioned that the barrier belonged to Kiriwo back earlier. Asmodeus and Lavande knocked on the wall. "Indeed, it appears that this barrier is the same magic as Senpai's." Said Asmodeus. "No fair, Kiriyan-senpai!" Exclaimed Clara, "I wanna do a huge suprise for the party, too!" "This is no simple matter, Lady Valac." Said Lavande, "Sir Asmodeus, could you bring us to the other side?" Asmodeus created his fire sword and tried to slice open the barrier, but to avail. "No avail, Félin-sama!" Said Asmodeus. "In that case..." Lavande looked through her grimore of powerful spells and tried one of her powerful moves, ""
This spell is Arabic for ""; the outcome can vary from the user's inherited magic. But when Lavande uses this incantation, she can summon deadly lianas and shadow-like thorned flowers as an attack or a banishing opponent spell. However, she must be careful with any move as powerful as this; as the translation suggests, Mawt Alfaragh may inflict as a backfired curse, if chanted incorrectly.
But for such a powerful move like that, the barrier still remain without a crack. "How is that possible?" Asked Lavande in bewilderment, "Death Of The Void is a powerful spell if chanted correctly, but this barrier is standing as still!" Clara's "" didn't work either, despite being able to destroy trees. "To think Senpai was able to put up such a powerful barrier all over with his limited magic." Said Asmodeus, "It's unbelieveable." "If this was done solely by Sir Amy, who happened to disappear, then he must have carefully drafted this plot for years." Said Lavande. "This locomotion?" Asked Clara.
"Asmodeus-san, Lavande-san, Valac-san. There is only one place Iruma and I think is where Amy-senpai is located." Said Ryūko, "No such guarantee can exist to think we'll be able to go through this maze and reach that pinnacle, but we are concerned about Amy-senpai. : We need you to help us get to the Third-Years' Tower. Will you be of our assistance?" "Give us your command, my lady." Saluted Lavande with a bow. "But of course!" Approved Asmodeus. Clara was willing to help too. "Valc, prepare a giant piece of paper and two pens." Requested Asmodeus. "You got it!" Said Clara, pulling out the requested items from her pouches and the top freshmen drew on the paper. "Alright. This is a rough diagram of this area." Said Asmodeus. "Not bad. You two actually remembered all that?" Asked Iruma. "Yes, my lord." Replied Lavande, "It was right on the prospectus of the academy, so Sir Asmodeus and I made sure to memorise it." "Though I doubt Valac has even seen the school's prospectus." Said Asmodeus to Clara with a indifferent look. "That's right." Agreed Clara with finger guns.
"If we can figure out where the barriers are on this map, you should be able to get to your goal smoothly." Said Asmodeus, "However... The problem would be our numbers. I think it will prove rather difficult to find all of the barriers ourselves." "If only we could be of control over frogs, like Lady Momonoki." Added Lavande. "I've got something!" Saluted Clara, "I've got soldiers! The ones that were in the MagiApp room!" She means the black paper dolls. "Valac-san, could you actually make such appear?" Asked Ryūko. "But of course, course!" Said Clara, "I can pull out anything I've seen before!" She kept on pulling out paper dolls, until there was a sufficient amout. Her bloodline ability is truly useful.
Magic paper soldiers are magical apparatuses in the form of obedient paper soldiers. The more magic you put in them, the harder they work. Asmodeus and Lavande infused their magic into all the paper soldiers before sending them off.
"We will follow the magic of the paper soldiers we're controlling to find the locations of the barriers, then we will properly report those locations back to you." Said Asmodeus. "Asmodeus-san, Lavande-san. : Since the four of us have indivisual hellphones, I'm going to assign you code names and you will report the directions when either of us call." Commanded Ryūko, "Asmodeus-san, your code name of the case will be "Pointer 1". Lavande-san, you're "Pointer 2". Iruma, take directions mainly from Pointer 1. Pointer 2, mainly report to me via hellphone. There are chances that we may ask either of you in random times. : Keep track of all locations and properly guide us to our goal. Do I make myself clear?" "Yes, Ryūko-sama!" Saluted Asmodeus. "At your command, Lady Ryūko." Bowed Lavande, "Do be careful."
"We will. Thanks." Said Iruma, "Hey, is it okay for us to run in the hall?" Ryūko started to have an "Oh f*** this" expression on her face and ran ahead of Iruma. "Who gives a freaking damn about running in the halls at a time like this, Iruma?!" Questioned Ryūko sternly, "" "You're right! Let's go, Onē-chan!" Said Iruma catching up to Ryūko. And so, Ryūko and Iruma were on their way as Asmodeus and Lavande gradually guided them through the school building via hellphone.
Suzuki Ryūko: "Pointer 2, what's your intel?"
Félin Lavande: "The path in front of the Science Room... Right in front before the First-years' cafeteria... The hallway in front of the Student Council room... Take the north staircase."
Suzuki Ryūko: "Got that. Pointer 1, report to Iruma. Do you copy?"
Asmodeus Alice: "Try to follow the left wall as much as possible. And on the next set of stairs, the right wall. Next, go right and then straight!"
Suzuki Iruma: "Got it! Pointer 2?"
Félin Lavande: "A gap is located on the right side. Stay close to the right, then turn left. Next, turn right and run straight. Though you are to move straight, keep yourselves to the right."
Suzuki Iruma: "Onē-chan, your command!"
Suzuki Ryūko: "Pointer 1 and Pointer 2, where are we located now?"
Asmodeus Alice: You're almost to the Third-Years' Tower."
Félin Lavande: "My lady, my lord. Turn right at the next corner."
Suzuki Ryūko and Iruma: "Affirmative, thank you/Thanks!"
The twins were determined to find Kiriwo, no matter what tasks or obstacles lays ahead of them. As for Kalego, he looked over Kiriwo's profile and found him as a suspect. "We're going to find Amy Kiriwo." Said Kalego to his colleagues, "He's a third-year who can use barriers. That makes him our most likely candidiate. Capture him on sight. Dali-sensei, were you able to get a hold of anyone outside the school?" "It's no use." Replied Dali. "Understood." Said Kalego, "Newbie. Assist me." "You got it!" Saluted Robin. Kalego ordered his other colleagues to be on the watch-out for Kiriwo. "We will investigate Amy Kiriwo." Said Blushenko. "Yis." Agreed Suzie. "But what about the safety of the students?" Asked one of the other teachers. "Fear not." Reassured Blushenko.
To lighten up the mood, the Magic Beast Battler was holding up a dangerous stunt show. "Hey, let's get closer." Said Eiko to Gaako. But there suddenly was a massive crowd of students who had a mass panic, which might have been caused by an earthquake. The sign of the Magic Beast Battler fell down, directly towards Eiko.
Fortunately, Ameri saved her at the last second. "Are you alright?" Asked Ameri, "You're unharmed, yes?" "Y-Yes. Thank you very much." Studdered Eiko while she blushed. "Be more careful next time." Said Ameri as she walked, "Clean up the rest." "" Said Ameri's Student Council members. With her last step being forceful as she faced the flinching students, Ameri shouted: " Demons should never take the easy way out. If you're going to make a fuss... " The students cheered and this was what Blushenko meant by "". As long as the Student Council President is around, the safety and order of the students is ensured. "What is happening? Is this something that only the teachers can solve?" Thought Ameri, "Almost all of the students are in the central plaza. Only a few are missing. not here either. Where are you? What are you doing, Ryūko and Iruma?"
Ryūko and Iruma finally reached the Third-years' Tower, in front a specific brick wall. "Are you there?" Asked Asmodeus on the hellphone. "Yeah." Panted Iruma. "I wish you both luck." Said Asmodeus and Lavande. "Boom! Say to Kiriyan-senpai for me!" Requested Clara. "Pointer 1, Pointer 2. Your code names are now abolished." Said Ryūko on her hellphone, "Thank you for your cooperation and assistance."
