《Save The Netherworld, Iruma-Kun!! || A WTDSIK Fanfiction》Chapter 5: Second Grade

Iruma sat by his self for lunch, not really wanting to mingle with the other students. Everyone else was scary, some of them had even tried to fight Iruma when he first walked into class, but he wasn't like that. He didn't like fighting or anything like that- Iruma had just wanted to learn, since thats what Kalego had put him in there for.
The teacher- Makin- had sat down with him while the others were practicing their flying, teaching him everything he had aparently missed in first grade. He had excelled in remembering stuff, and she was suprised at that. Iruma actually really liked her, and decided to go back to the classroom. She had told him to come back if he wanted to learn more, and he decided to take her up on the offer. His day was shattered when his lunch tray was slapped out of his hands.
"Your the new misfit, arnt you?" A chubby red demon gets in his face, and Iruma stumbles back. "I knew I smelt trash in the cafeteria. Whats your name?"
"My names Iruma Shichiro." The boys eyes widden.
"Oh, so your the one with the freak dad." Iruma frowns.
"Balam-Sensei is not a freak. He's really nice-" Iruma yelps as the boys shove him to the ground.
"Freak dad! Wheres your talons? Shouldn't you have them too?" Iruma shakes his head, feeling his back hit the wall. "How about we show your freak dad what we do to freaks like you?!"
"Hey!" Iruma glanced over at a pink-haired boy who was frowning at them. "Leave him alone right now."
"Asmodeus? Like we won't kick your butt too!" The boy, Asmodeus, grins. "Come at us then!"
Asmodeus runs at them, and the boys flinch away. He looks down at Iruma with a small smile, holding out his hand.
"I'm Asmodeus. It's nice to meet you Iruma-Kun."
"You know my name?" Iruma takes his hand, letting the boy pull him up onto his feet. He was taller than Iruma, just a tad. Iruma felt a little small around him.

"I overheard you say your name." Asmodeus smiles. "Were these guys bothering you?"
"Oh, a little, but it's okay-" Asmodeus had turned around already, glaring at the boys, who had halfway surrounded them. Iruma hid behind him. His first day and he was already about to get into a fight.
"If you come any closer I'm going to have to fight you." Asmodeus warns, holding up his fist.
"Do it then bitch boy!" Iruma flinched as the boys ran at Asmodeus, and Iruma experienced his very first fight. He didn't even have to hit anyone. Another person had joined the fray, and tackled half of the boys by themselves. It was a girl, Iruma had seen her in the classroom while the others were doing flying lessons. She grinned at Iruma, and he tried to remember her name. Valac Clara, although she had said just to call her Clara.
"Azz-kun! Your fighting these guys by yourself? How noble!!" She giggles, biting on one of the boys who yelped.
"Clara! What did your mom tell you about leaving me alone!!"
"Sorry Azz-Kun! It's just to exciting!"
"Just don't bite them and I won't tell!"

Balam didn't expect to be in the principals office this soon with Iruma. He held the boy in his arms, uncomfortably sitting in the small chair's, Kalego standing right beside the principal. He had gone to check up on Iruma, and had found Iruma in a fight, along with two other kids.
"So." The boys who had started the fight were there too, and their parents were there. One parent was furious.
"Those kids over there fought my boy-"
"Silence!" Kalego frowns. "Zip it, because I know how your son is. Both of them." She growls, but sits there, and Sullivan looks over at Balam, frowning at him.
"Iruma. What happened?" Iruma looked up from where he was playing with Balam's hands, pointing at himself. "Yes you."

"U-uhm.. T-those boys called me t-trash and said that..." Iruma looked back down at Balam's hands. "S-said that Balam-sensei was a freak."
"Then they called him a freak too!" Clara speaks up, standing up infront of her mother. "And then tried to beat him up while calling him a freak! Thats when Azz-kun got in the way and stopped them from hurting Iruma-Kun!" Sullivan glanced down at her, and she glanced off.
"No no, continue Valac." Clara shifts from foot to foot, still looking away
"T-then Azz-kun fought them and I helped him beat them up. Azz-kun is my friend, a-and Iruma-kun is sick so he can't fight as strongly as the other students so its not fair for them to pick on him!"
"And they called me a bad word." Asmodeus speaks up finally. "Plus, they tried to fight me first. I was just defending myself and Iruma-Kun."
"And I was helping defend them both!"
"I see." Sullivan looked back down at his desk, and Iruma hides in Balam's arms. Clara hides behind her mother, and Asmodeus looks down at his lap. "Fighting is never tolerated in my scool at all. Whenever someone fights, its expulsion." Balam tightens his arms around Iruma, seeing Clara's mother start to have a frown on her face. She never had a frown. "But these three did absolutly nothing wrong. Asmodeus and Clara were defending themselves and a friend, and Iruma didn't even fight."
"Plus, I know every single one of your sons and daughters, expecially since they all go to this school." Kalego frowns at the other boys parents. "Your children have always been rowdy, and there is no excuse that your children should be calling a well respected teacher a freak."
"He is one though! My daughter tells me about how he ties her up with vines, and besides, a gargoyle shouldn't be a teacher anyway! They don't understand personal space!"
"How dare you-" Kalego starts, but Balam had heard enough. He held Iruma in his hands as he silently bowed to Sullivan quickly before leaving the room, hearing Kalego call his name, but He just wanted to get home. Iruma was quiet as Balam walked to his office, starting to pack up his things.
"I'm sorry." He finally whispers, and Balam glances down at the young boy, who looked like he was on the verge of crying. "This is my fault, I should have stayed in the room and-"
"Your a child and your nature is to explore. I'm not mad at you for what they said. They've been saying it for a long time."
"They say your a freak...?" Balam pauses in packing up, looking at him.
"Opera tried his best to keep the rumors from spreading... but.." Balam sits down, feeling older than he really was. "I was known as a freak because I'm a gargoyle demon. Theres not many of us around in the normal demon schools, we usually stay isolated in our own communities, but lately we've tried to branch out. Be friendly to other demons and stuff." Balam rubs his face. "They always thought I was a freak. Everyone never wanted to be my friend, and I was... well.. lonely. Even with Opera and Kalego. Now that I'm a teacher, the rumours have just changed. Everyone thinks I'll use them in an experiment or kill them- I have to wrap them up in vines just to keep them in my class! Honestly I... I'm thinking it's not worth it anymore." It's quiet for a couple of seconds before Iruma puts his hands on Balams.
"Your not a freak to me." Balam puts a hand on Iruma's head.
"I know." Balam sighs, feeling even lonelier. Iruma was right here, but he felt so alone at the moment- It hurt. "I know..."

Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom.
