I watch Rylee as she gets inside the car. She's avoiding eye contact with me so I continue to look at her.

"What's wrong?" I turn my upper body to face her.

"It's nothing," she said. "I'm okay, but tired."

"What did you do?" I continue.

"Put routines together and select a song," she gave me a short summary. Alright. I lock the doors then start driving. Rylee didn't even talk when I try to get her talking so I eventually give up. She's just tired and with a baby in her, I shouldn't bother her too much. We got home, which I made dinner already, Rylee left upstairs and never came back down. Something is definitely wrong. I went up to her room and knock on the door.

"Not now Dawson, I'm changing," she said.

"I'll wait."

"No, don't."

"What about dinner?"

"I'll skip tonight."

"That's not good for you and our child."

"Leave me alone!!" She yells at me. I barge in and see her in her bed. You liar.

"What happened, Rylee?" I ask nicely. She couldn't answer me because she have start crying. I went to her and sit down on the bed. When I did that, she covers her head with the blanket. I had to remove it. "You can tell me anything, Rylee. Who hurt you? Who made you upset? What happened back there?"

"Shut up Dawson!" She yells at me again. "I'm stress alright?! Just leave me alone like you always do. I liked that better!" Rylee turns her back to me and I just blink. Mood swings? I lay behind her and try my best to calm her down.

"Alright, I'll leave you alone but I'm sorry for bothering you. I care about you and our baby. If I have done something wrong then I'm sorry for that too. But dinner is important, so-"

"Leave," she commands. I sigh then get off the bed.

"Good night, Rylee," I head out and close the door behind me.

The next morning, Rylee sneak into my room and got in bed with me. She wakes me up and apologize about last night. I forgive her then we are happy again.

"I'm getting nervous with you, Rylee," Dawson comment which made Rylee laugh.

"It's me who's performing, not you," she respond back.

"I know, but this is really out of hand. You shouldn't be doing this."

"Trust me, baby. Tell me I can do this instead," Dawson reach to grab Rylee by the waist. Her thumb caresses the little bump.

"I hope you keep yourself and our baby safe out there. I won't imagine the worst thing that can happen once you're on the ice," Rylee keep her smile on and grab Dawson by the shoulders. She give her wife a kiss before pulling away to carry the duffel bag on her right shoulder.

"Let's go," Rylee take Dawson's hand and they leave Rylee's room.

The event starts at 2pm, so they have to go there early for warm up. Dawson drive them to where the event is taking place. Already, the traffic is crowded because people are attending. They found a parking place and get out to go to the back entrance, where they enter for free. Rylee went into a room and told Dawson to stay outside as she change. Dawson waited until the door clicks and opens, revealing her beautiful wife in a black dress and a mask.

"Wow, look at you," Dawson praise. Rylee winks at Dawson before they walk to the entrance of the arena. In there, they found John, Mr. and Mrs. Jones. Dawson and Rylee went over to them. They all smile at the couple, but Dawson just want them gone.

Few days back, Dawson's lawyer found that they can make a case about this, and that it can lead to the Jones going to prison. Dawson was happy about this and let her lawyers continue to make their case. Soon, the Jones will be behind bars.

Dawson unzip her jacket when she sit down away from the rats and pigs. For Rylee, she went ahead to warm up. The others try to talk to Dawson, but she wasn't buying anything. She got her eyes on Rylee, watching every moves that she makes.

Five minutes later, Rylee came back to rest and hydrate herself.

"How are you feeling?" Dawson ask.

"I'm feeling great," Rylee answer then take her mask off before grabbing Dawson's hand. "It's cold, can I have your jacket?"

"Of course," Dawson take her jacket off and put it around Rylee.

"Thank you!" Rylee smiles, but it quickly vanish when she sees Heidi walk her way in with her team. Heidi have a smirk on. It reminded Rylee of that day when she gave a promise. Dawson was quick to notice and look where Rylee is looking.

When Heidi got to them, Dawson stand up.

"Nice seeing you here, Dawson," Heidi greet.

"Get lost," Dawson respond back coldly. She feels Rylee squeeze her hand so she relax.

"Easy, I just came here to say hi to Rylee and tell her good luck," Heidi said. Rylee stand up behind Dawson and nod.

"Good luck to you also," she said. Heidi return the nod then pass them to her seat. "Let's sit down Dawson," Rylee pull Dawson back on the bench. They continue talking until it's time.

The announcement is make to welcome everyone to the event. It announces the qualified skaters. Every participants gets cheer, but when it comes to the Ice Queen, she won by the loud cheer.

"Well first off, we are letting the Ice Queen give us the opening to the event. This is her tenth year participating in the NWPIS. Will her streak continues or will it end today? Let's welcome the Ice Queen, Rylee Garland!!!"

"Good luck, baby," Dawson tells Rylee before Rylee puts on her mask and head to the entrance of the rink.

Rylee stakes to the middle as she waves at the crowd. They cheer her on and she strikes a pose. Slowly, the music turns on. Rylee skates around and made movement with her arms. The first jump she attempts is the triple axel. When Rylee did that jump, she scare Dawson. Everything that Rylee is going to do brings Dawson on the edge of her seat. Rylee did a clean landing and was applaud. She continues to do spins and jumps.

Beside Dawson, she starts to hear John, Mr. and Mrs. Jones talking.

"No, she's not suppose to do that. It isn't part of the routine," John explains to the Jones.

Rylee stop doing jumps and when she does it, it would be incomplete jumps. She would also purposely land clumsily, but made sure not to fall, because she can harm her baby.

The Jones and John curse at each other as they have to bare watching Rylee.

Dawson smile to herself as she watch Rylee goof around. So this is what Rylee wanted.

Rylee was out of time and she didn't end with the music. But people still cheer at here and throw roses. Rylee picks up a rose and make her exit. She came back and was immediately confronted by the Jones. Dawson knew trouble so she went to her wife's aid.

"You embarrassed not just yourself but us!!" Mrs. Jones hiss.

"Watch your mouth!" Dawson yells before pulling Rylee behind her. "You wanted this so you did this to yourself. Rylee gave you her decision, so this is all on you."

John shakes his head and went to the exit. Rylee felt sad about what she did to John, but she had no choice.

Suddenly, three officers come forward.

"Mr. and Mrs. Jones, you two are under arrest. Come with us peacefully or we will use force," one officer announce.

"What?!" They both said. "What is the meaning of this? We did not do anything wrong!"

The officers look at each other before tackling the couple's down.

Dawson and Rylee step away as the couples have been brought to their feet again.

"You will pay for this!! Once we get out, you will regret it!!" Mrs. Jones said before being taken away.

"Well that was a scene," Dawson sigh. Rylee smiles at Dawson and give her the rose she picked up earlier. After that, she left Dawson to go to the reporters.

"I am sorry for the cause of the scene and I didn't mean to poke any fun at ice skating. Ice skating has been a part of me ever since I was little. But then good things have to come to an end. I am taking the title off me. I am taking the crown off. That means I am now retiring. I really hope to perform a last show for all my fans or even ice skating fans, but I am held back by something that is already changing my life. You will know it in eight months. I really love you all and hope you have a wonderful time in the event," after Rylee has spoken, more reporters ask questions but she refused to answer. She came back to Dawson then the two of them leave the place.

The next morning, it was all over the news. Rylee, and her boss. Her fans and people all over the whole supported her after hearing the full story. They were proud of her and thank her for the amazing years she have performed for them. On the other hand, Heidi did won the competition this year, breaking Rylee's record and sending ice skating into a new era. For the Jones, they were found guilty because the people who signed under them also came out and told their stories. The Jones was were sentence to prison and was fined a lot for the compensation of the people who signed under them.

"It's a baby girl!!!" Dawson reveal to both their parents. They all jump in joy as Rylee comes in with their baby in her arms.

"What's her name? Have you name her?" Dawson's mom ask.

"Yes, we did. We name her Darby," answer Rylee.

Everyone gushes over baby Darby. Everyone takes turn holding her and everyone is in joy.

"So she's going to follow your foot steps?" Dawson ask as she watches their baby girl sleep.

"Like mother like daughter," Rylee reply before kissing Dawson.

Three years later, Rylee is already teaching Darby how to skate. Little Rylee gradually became like her mom, also she looks like her mother at that young age.

Dawson watches Rylee button her pajama shirt on. After Rylee finish, she comes to join Dawson in bed. They both cuddle each other and share kisses.

"You know, I'm really happy," Dawson said as she holds her wife's hand. "I finally have a family of my own. Rylee, I never knew you were the person that was missing in my life," Rylee touches Dawson's cheek. She doesn't say anything but smile.

"Well, who would've known?" Rylee ask before kissing Dawson.

Together, Dawson and Rylee continues to build their relationship. Two years later, Rylee have made a comeback to the skating industry. She took back her crown, her title, and her spotlight. In her journey, Dawson and their baby girl, Darby, was there the whole time to show their support. They are Rylee's number one fan, but more importantly, they are Rylee's life, Rylee's family.
