Jimin sighed as he stared out of the window in his bedroom. It was the weekend and he usually hung out with Taehyung but Taehyung had gone to Geochang with Bogum to meet his parents and now Jimin was utterly bored. The book he had been reading since he woke up was now forgotten under his pillow. He was thinking about going to the nearest dance studio to pass his time when his phone vibrated. He peeked with lazy eyes at the phone but his eyes lit up when he noticed they were messages from Jungkook telling him that he'll pick him up in an hour.
Jimin smiled to himself as he jumped off the bed and skipped towards his wardrobe. He shuffled through his clothes, searching for his favourite orange sweatshirt. He sprayed on some of his favourite cologne, sniffing it once in satisfaction when the citrus smell wafted through his nose. The doorbell rang, causing the blond boy to scurry towards the door, one hand carelessly carrying his black satchel.
The door opened to reveal a very handsome Jungkook, ripped skinny jeans and a black shirt adorning his melanin skin. Jimin stared, drinking his boyfriend in. He had lost count of how many times he had seen Jeongguk in black clothing but the boy still managed to look hot in the colour.
"Hey," Jeongguk greeted as he swooped down to kiss the smaller boy on his lips. "Ready to go?" Jimin quietly slipped his hand into Jungkook's after he locked his door, causing strong feelings to stir up in the younger one's stomach. How could someone be so beautiful just existing like that, Jungkook wondered.
Jungkook had left his beloved motorbike home upon Seokjin's insists, and had decided to walk to Jimin's apartment. His brother had said something along the lines of how walking with a lover was more romantic and meaningful instead of zooming around town on that monstrous vehicle of his. Jungkook wasn't saying he didn't take slight offense at the insult thrown towards his baby but as he walked down the pavement leading to a small park near Jimin's apartment with the said boy's hand in his, he couldn't not mentally thank his brother.

"Where are we going?" Jimin questioned, breaking the silence. Jungkook turned to look at the boy and was astonished at how easily he could read his eyes. He seemed like the kind of person who would prefer simple, quiet dates instead of expensive, outgoing ones.
"The park nearby? I got some homemade sandwiches. We can eat and then go wherever you want to?"
Jungkook could see Jimin's eyes light up. He was so easy to read, an open book to the eye.
"Homemade? Jin hyung cooked for you?" Jimin smiled at their intertwined hands before looking up at Jungkook. "Your relationship as brothers is so cute."
Jungkook felt his ears turn warm as he coughed into a fist and turned away. "I made them," his voice was so soft Jimin almost didn't catch it. The boy was pleasantly surprised and his smile widened. He squeezed Jungkook's hand, stepping in closer so that his head was resting against Jungkook's shoulder.
"You are the cutest."
The words affected Jungkook more than he'd have liked to admit. His cheeks and ears felt warm and suddenly he didn't know where to look and what to say. Jimin noticed that the young boy was flustered and laughed affectionately. The laugh didn't help in any way. Jungkook wanted to melt.
It took them some time to find an empty spot under the shade of a tree as it was the weekend and a lot of people had already taken up spots. Jimin finally found an empty spot and plopped down, pulling Jungkook along. The latter pulled out a tupperware filled with sandwiches and handed two to Jimin, who took them with smiling eyes. Jungkook hadn't had breakfast and was starving, hence didn't waste time in digging into his sandwich. Once he started chewing however, his heart stopped in terror. He had spread chilli paste instead of tomato sauce. His throat burned as he gulped it down and whipped his head to face Jimin.

"Let's go to a restaurant? I know a small cozy one just down the alley." Jungkook panicked as he held onto Jimin's wrist to stop him from eating the sandwich. "Please? I'm not really in the mood for sandwiches right now."
Jimin smiled, turning his face to kiss Jungkook's hand that was holding his wrist. "Let me have one sandwich and then we can leave Jungkookie. You made this for me, I want to eat it."
Jungkook's heart sped up as he imagined the countless wrong scenarios this could turn into. "I'll make you some for dinner. Come over. We'll eat together. Just... just not now? Let's go we're getting late." The taller boy stood up and dusted his pants, grabbing the tupperware and shoving it into his backpack in hopes that Jimin would follow suit. "Let's get goi-" Jungkook stopped talking when he turned and saw Jimin eating the sandwich, the second sandwich. His lips were red and swollen and his eyes were somewhat teary, Jungkook knew his throat must have been burning by now, yet he finished the sandwich in his hand and smiled up at the boy who had genuinely fucked up as if nothing was wrong.
"Do you have tissues? And possibly some water?" Jimin chuckled softly, still grinning up at Jungkook like he hadn't just eaten two sandwiches filled with chilli paste.
"Fuck, Jimin," Jungkook cursed as he knelt in front of the boy and unzipped his backpack, pulling out tissues and a water bottle. "I- I was trying to not- to not let you- oh lord." Jungkook looked down as the older boy wiped his hands and drank water. When he felt Jimin's gaze turn to him Jungkook felt like dying.
"Hey," Jimin touched his hand softly, "I'm fine. You made those sandwiches for me Kookie, it's okay if you made a small mistake. I can't throw them away because of that now can I? Especially when they were filled with good intentions and a good heart full of love." For the first time in a while, Jungkook felt the strong urge to tear up. Who was this angel of a boy, Jungkook didn't deserve him.
"I'm so sorry," Jungkook murmured as he leant to place his chin on Jimin's shoulder. "I'm so stupid, such an idiot. I'm sorry." Jimin's hand travelled to the back of the boy's head, playing with his raven locks and soothing his worry. Jungkook breathed in the fresh air and Jimin's perfume, nuzzling against his boyfriend's neck. "Thank you for eating that despite... you know. I lo- don't know what I did to deserve you."
"Stop," Jimin whined, playfully pulling Jungkook's hair. "You're such a cheeseball sometimes. And you don't need to thank me. I should thank you. You're one of the best things that happened to me."
At that moment Jungkook didn't want to kiss Jimin or make out with him. Instead he wanted to show the boy that he meant more to him than he could ever imagine. Stong arms wrapped around the blond boy's frame, engulfing him into the warmest hug possible, chest against chest, hearts beating together. Jimin smiled, clutching onto Jungkook's shirt. A simple touch could convey so much words couldn't.
