Chapter 17,
In Love
I hope your favorite character in a movie, tv show or book dies.
~ Y/n's POV ~
As we walked down the empty streets of Toronto, Mason and I made some conversation and turns out he and I had much more in common than I gave us credit for, he actually listened to me whenever I brought something up and I would listen to him when he did.
I felt like we were actually getting along quite well, without anyone around, he was like a friend in the making and I didn't have to worry about anything at all.
"That's not true, Spiderman is so much better than Iron man!"
Mason defended as he laughed, that was the first time he had laughed when he was with me, also I know that iron man isn't better than Spiderman but I loved seeing the small glow in his eyes whenever he talked about something he loved.
It was like you could tell he was proud of it and I liked that, I liked how happy he gets when it comes to these type of topics.
"Well Thames, I personally favor iron man but you do you."
I joked as we entered the McDonald's, he looked at me and looked away as he began to laugh but when he looked back he had a small smile that fit perfectly on his face.
I hope your favorite character in a movie, tv show or book dies.
He told me, we stood standing there looking into each other's eyes before we began to laugh, I smiled at him as we walked onto the line and looked at the big bright menu to check what we wanted to eat.
When it's just us two, it's like we have no bad blood with one another and we love each other's company but whenever we're back at the set and we're acting, we're at each other's throats trying to be better.

Although I loved his comebacks and his insults, it felt refreshing knowing that we can sit down and just conversate without having to insult him or having to give him the death glare when he makes a directed joke at me.
It is possible that I was wrong about him, maybe he is as nice as he seems and how everyone makes him out to be, I was just obsessed with proving people that not everyone in the world is as sweet as sugar.
"You know, you're not half as bad as I thought you were."
Mason admitted as we sat down and waited for our order to be called out, I had paid for both of our meals after arguing about the fact that I invited him and I will be the one paying for our food.
I looked at him but he was looking away, almost as if he was a little nervous when he said that and he couldn't make eye contact with me, I took a deep breath as I felt a small clump of butterflies activate in my stomach.
What do I respond with that, I don't know want to say something wrong and he gets pissed, and we end up not talking for weeks because of my words, so I stood silent, thinking of the perfect words to say.
"You're not totally evil, you're actually chill and you're really sweet."
I muttered under my breath, I wasn't embarrassed to admit my thoughts but I was nervous about how he would react when he heard that, Mason looked back at me and smiled.
When our order was finally called, Mason got up and walked to the counters to grab it, maybe he was really America's sweetheart, he's not problematic that's for sure.
Well, I mean besides that fact that one time he bit into his ice cream cone just to piss me off because we were in an argument about how wrong it is to even think about biting into ice cream cones.

He got what he deserved when he soon got a brain freeze, but other than that he was someone that you could trust with your cup at a party when you have to go to the bathroom or when you want to go dance.
All I'm saying is that he's not as bad as I made him out to be in my mind and I take full responsibility for it, I should have gotten to know him before even judging who he was, and right now is the perfect time to get to know him.
I'm just hoping that this doesn't change when the morning comes and I have to do my scenes with him, I want us to move forward from our arguments and anger.
