Iskall POV
It was a quiet day on Hermitcraft. Most Hermits were out on a joint mining trip. I was taking this time to relax, knowing there would be no distractions.
Scratch that, thinking there would be no distractions.
I was about a hundred pages in my book when my communicator began to buzz violently, signalling someone was calling me. I sighed audibly before picking.
"Hel-"
"Iskall, are you at your base?" a certain moustached man asked on the other line.
"Yeah Mumbo, what's up?"
"Well, I was exploring when I found a woodland mansion. C-can you come explore with me?" he asked nervously.
"Sure, can you send me the cords?"
"Yep, see you there!"
"Bye."
This certainly wasn't how I thought today would be, but it would be fun. Mumbo is really sweet and it's great we can spend some time together.
Iskall he's just your friend, nothing more. Stop thinking like this.
I sighed softly as I walked out of my base and headed to the cords Mumbo sent.
Mumbo POV
As I stood outside the mansion, to say I was nervous would be an understatement.
What if he doesn't like you? He might if lied. Now he thinks I'm weak because I can't go in alone.
I had know about my crush on Iskall for a while now but I didn't dare tell him, the negative thoughts made me doubt myself.
I snapped out of my thoughts when my friend landed next to me.
Friend. We're just freaking friends. Why can't that change.
"Mumbo, you good?"
"Y- yeah, just a bit scared."
"Well don't be," he said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me into the mansion.
Oh my god he's holding my hand!
I knew I was blushing but Iskall didn't seem to notice. We set our spawn near the entrance then ventured deeper into the mansion, fighting mobs along the way. Every time a mob would come, I would cling on to Iskall's arm. I wasn't scared or anything, I just wanted to hold him.

Iskall POV
I was confused, to say the leas.
Mumbo isn't scared of mobs or fighting. Then why is he clinging on to me? Does he like me?
"M- mumbo," I stuttered.
"Yeah?"
"Well, I have this feeling I've been trying to ignore but I think I have crush on you but you probably don't so just pretend this never h-"
"Iskall, I- I have a crush on you too. I love you, more then just a friend."
I stood in disbelief.
My crush likes me. HE ACTUALLY DOES.
"Can I kiss you?" Mumbo asked quietly.
Without answering, I pulled him in for a kiss. It was the perfect moment and I was the happiest in my life. Nothing could go wrong-

The two new lovers respawned infront of the mansion and shared a laugh. This was the happiest day of their lives.

Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. It was the same voice who had that had spoken into her mind and the cause of her almost-fatal distraction.
