By the way, guys, that dog up there is Lily's mom. (:
Back at the Pup Star Rehearsals, Rover said, "Well everyone... it seems Lily has, uh, gone missing." The audience gasped. "No! Really? Who would of thought...?" Rosie snapped in the audience. "Rosie, shush!" P.U.P. said madly. "This is it. Me and Lily are doomed!" Mia said with her face in her hands. "Well, Lily WILL have one more chance to be on Pup Star but that means she'll have to have a VERY powerful voice. Because next WEEK, it will be Pup Star Finals!" Everyone oohed and then clapped and cheered. "And now, wait a minute, I'm getting something..." Rover said. "Huh? P.U.P. wondered. "Oh, my. My producer says our second contestant has gone missing, too..." Rover said surprised and shocked. "Oh, my dog, that's so weird; TWO dogs missing in two days!" Brody said. "Something isn't right..." Tiny said to herself in the judge chair.
"Hahahhaahahhahahahahha!" Bark cackled from the Bark Easy. "Now we have Gracie, the SECOND contestant! HAHAH!" He said again. "Well, actually... I'm gonna go. I gotta get back home." Dakota said. "What?!? But we need you!" Bark freaked. But Dakota was already out the door. "Ugh, who needs her? We need to focus on dognapping the OTHER contestants!" Kano told Bark.
"So, what are you planning on doing when you get back home?" Willow asked Lily. Lily hesitated then said, "I...I don't know..." Willow stayed silent, waiting for her to talk some more. "My goal was to become the next Pup Star. Champion, anyway..." Lily smiled nervously. "A goal without a plan is just a wish." Willow said wisely. Lily looked down. Then Willow said, "Let me ask you this. Does Mia think you're a champion?" "Yes... I believe so," Lily answered. "Does Tiny think you're a champion?" Willow asked again. "Well, yeah-" Lily said but got cut off. "And does your family believe you're a champion? Willow asked once more. Lily looked shocked and didn't say anything. Instead, she walked to the edge of the train and looked at the sky. Willow looked confused. She was confused! "The only family I knew was... my mom who died a long time ago. But... she said that dreams DO come true. But now... I don't believe her..." Lily explained. "But you DID believe her...? Willow wondered. "Yes... I did... she always believed I was a champion. In fact, she always sang this song to me..." Lily said.

Willow smiled. "So, yeah, I loved my mom. She really was something." Lily smiled.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 1 chapter per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] The cover art is courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx.
