Chapter 17
“What????????” I shouted, I could see the shock reflected on the faces of my pack members but those of the silver shadow pack looked indifferent to this piece of information.
“You heard me I can finally get rid of the brat your doing me a favour really“ Kellan said rolling his eyes.
Kill him, how dare he say that our pup is a brat, rip his throat out.
I couldn’t help but agree with my wolf I wanted to rip Kellan’s throat out the way he’s acting he would have given Kevin to anyone who crossed his path.
I had enough of Kellan I no longer felt anything towards him which surprised me since we were meant to be mates but I was thankful for the lack of feeling. I do not know how I could have lived with him for the rest of my life.
Just thinking about it was causing an uneasy feeling to develop in the pit of my stomach he might be my mate but he is not the one for me.
I could see the smug look that had developed on Kellan’s face he thought that he had won something over on me. Though the truth was I was just happy that I got to keep Kevin with me and didn’t have to spend the rest of my life with him.
The fact that he was not Kevin’s father meant that I didn’t need to be nice to him anymore.
I growled stepping forward letting my wolf come to the front and bared my teeth at the silver shadow pack and their alpha.
“No one and I mean no one is allowed to disrespect my pack members and especially not my pup” I shouted seeing them all cower behind one another the only exception was Kellan yet he had a grimace on his face.
“Know I am giving you a chance to leave you have 1 minute before I send my warriors after you to get of my land”. As I finished speaking I could see that they were holding onto one another in shock and hadn’t moved an inch too frightened to do anything.

I gave them all one last glare turning around walking closer to my pack I turned my head and said “run” as soon as the words left my lips I heard paws thundering against the ground leaving the clearing with just my pack and the silver shadow members that wanted to move to my pack.
I looked at my warriors and gave them the signal to come forward “ Drew take 15 warriors and make sure the silver shadow pack leave our land, Michael take the rest and restart the border patrol I don’t want any surprises”.
I gave them the signal to go to their designated areas and in less than half a minute they were gone except for ten warriors that had stayed behind and the ex silver shadow members.
Looking towards them I spoke “I know for a fact that they way the silver shadow pack and the locus pack are very different you will all be given rules to follow if you break these rules you will have to leave just because I have given you a chance does not mean you are a part of the pack you could say you’re on a probation period if you prove yourselves you can stay if not you will have to leave”.
I took a gulp of air that was severely needed and spoke again “also when you are here you will be treated fairly by my pack members we do not enforce a hierarchy only when it is needed if you want to talk to me about something you can I will not punish you for it. You will be treated as equals do not waste my packs hospitality towards you.”
I looked them all in the eyes to check if they had received the message I was trying to convey. It seemed so as they all nodded their heads in understanding some even had hopeful eyes and smiles on their face.
“Now let’s get you introduced to the pack” I pointed to Derrick one of the newest warriors” this is Derrick he will show you to some guest rooms in the pack house just tell him if you have mates and you can share”.

They all walked off with Derrick in the direction of the pack house then I remembered something “wait can one of you stay behind please it will only be for a moment”.
As I said this they all looked at one another till a man with silver blond hair stepped forward I nodded my head in thanks as he walked back to me as the rest disappeared with Derrick.
“What’s your name” I asked.
“Lorne but most people just call me Smithy for my last name” he replied I couldn’t help but think that it was such a cool nick name.
“Thank you for staying behind I just wanted to ask if you know who Kevin’s real family are” I looked at him questioningly.
He shook his head in understanding “no alpha we do not know who his real family is Kevin was left on Kellan’s doorstep the only reason that he was kept around was to fool the older members of the pack that he was a good and kind alpha most of the time he just ignored Kevin.”
This infuriated me Kellan had just wanted to use Keith for his image and ignored him how dare he I didn’t think someone could stoop so low.
“Thank you for telling me this smithy, all of you will probably be initiated into the pack in a month if all goes well”. I said to calm his nerves in returned he smiled and thanked me.
“You should probably catch up to the rest of the group know” I said motioning my hand in the direction of the pack house” he nodded his head and jogged towards the pack house.
I sighed I couldn’t help but feel slightly deflated after the days trials and tribulations. I could feel my warriors moving closer in order to comfort me they could probably feel the wariness radiating of me.
I heard the pounding of paws realising that Drew had returned with the warriors after changing back they came out of the woods.
He walked towards me “ Leila are you ok?” he asked using my first name as I had asked him to do so many times.
“I’m fine Drew just a little anxious my wolf is still jittery it’s as if there are worse things to come than an argument with an incompetent alpha”. I said trying to figure out what was to come in the future.
“I know I can feel it to but it’s best not to worry we just have to be ready” he said trying to be optimistic but failed.
“It’s my job to worry Drew” I said walking in the direction of the pack house with my warriors and Drew following in silence.
I couldn’t help but let my mind wonder to Kellan what had I done to deserve such an ass as a mate was I really that bad of a person?
It was meant to be a fairytale finding my mate, falling in love, having kids and living happily ever after but it was something I would never have.
Who would want me know I had always secretly held hope that my mate would love me and be with me forever I guess I was just being positive.
I heard my wolf howl in understanding it was full of the pain, sorrow and anguish we felt at not having someone to love and be loved by in our life.
Though I couldn’t help the question that kept repeating itself in my mind.
Would we ever find someone else to love us or would we be alone for the rest of our life?

An Infinite Recursion of Time
I always wanted to be taken to another world, and as they say, there are no atheists in the foxhole that we call real life. I prayed, and prayed, and prayed until one day, I opened my eyes to see my dream had come true. I also saw the axe of an orc bearing down on my skull. You win some, you lose some. A time-loop fantasy story written after getting into litRPGs a bit. I wondered what it would be like if I just went and wrote a story about all the things I liked in web fiction without holding back: time loops, RPG stats, certain character archetypes, and harems played straight. Please be warned of lewd descriptions and depraved sexualization. If nothing else, this will be a sincere work.
