Levina's POV

A week had passed since the day in Lucifer's office. We fell into a comfortable routine, wake up together, eat breakfast, go to work. We only spent one day in court and it honestly was my favorite. Kneeling at Lucifer's feet while he dealt with demon after demon. I'd sneak a peek at him from beneath my lashes without moving my head and disobeying him directly but every time he would catch me and point to the floor. Those few sneaks were so fucking hot, him in his fitted suit, his stern but thoughtful expressions. And the dominating look he'd give me when he'd catch me.

The rest of the week was spent in the office, I finished organizing the territory disputes and then moved to his desk. Again, organizing the ongoing problems by territory disputes, complaints, and trade orders. Then I helped him keep it in order. Throughout the whole week we stole soft kisses and sly touches but never more than that.

So, when I woke up that morning to find Lucifer already out of bed, I got worried. "Luce!" I stood from the bed just as he came rushing in fully dressed.

"You okay love?" He looked me up and down like he was making sure.

"Yeah, you were just gone." I looked down, "I'm going to go shower and change." I pointed to his shower then started away. Why did I think he actually wanted me. Maybe he was sick of me already. Why was I still sleeping in his bed?

Before I got too far, he was there cupping my chin and holding me around my waist, "Levina. I can practically hear your thoughts from here." Lucifer kissed my forehead, "I went to make breakfast for you because we have a busy day. I have a surprise for you. Now go shower and no more of those thoughts. Okay?"

"Yes sir." He pinched my chin in warning, "I mean, yes daddy."

"Good girl now go shower." He gave my ass a little swat as I went.

After showering and dressing in jeans and a t-shirt I sat at the island. "So, what's the surprise?" I asked as I watched Lucifer finish cooking. "And what about work?"

"Ah but if I told you then it wouldn't be surprise. And I took the whole day off, thanks to someone's amazing organizing skills, I can keep up now." He gave me a wolfish grin. "Your surprise is later, after you're done eating you have therapy."

"What? I went once isn't that enough?" I asked as I choked on my coffee.

"You and I both know that's not how this works love." I huffed as he set the omelet down in front of me. "Eat all of it." He scolded and I did as I was told.

"Did you have to make it so big?" I couldn't help fighting back.

"Yes, don't think I haven't noticed you eating as little as possible." Lucifer crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at me. "Be a good girl and eat."

"Fine." I ate it all but I didn't feel great about it. "Let's get this over with."

Lucifer just rolled his eyes and took my arm as he snapped us to the therapist's office. "Have a good session, I'll be right outside." It was my turn to roll my eyes as I knocked on the door.

"Ah Levina I was hoping you'd come back." She smiled softly as we stepped into the office.

"Yeah, I didn't have much of a choice." I pointed behind me to the waiting area. Lucifer just gave me a large smile and a wink while I shook my head and laughed.

"Oh, Lucifer?" Angelica looked surprised.

"Hey Angelica. How's it going? Seph's doing good?" He asked as he stood and came and stood behind me.

"I um I'm good and you know I can't talk about patients. But we both know she's fine." She looked between us but stayed quiet.

"Should we uh get started? I'd like to go home otherwise." I rubbed nervously at my arms. Lucifer's hand on the small of my back calmed me a little but my anxiety was still riding high.

"I took Persephone to some of her first appointments when Hades was busy, that's how Angelica and I know each other." I nodded absently; I didn't quite believe that was all they were.

"Okay well, can we?" I waved to the office and it was Angelina's turn to nod stiffly. The office was full of awkward tension as we sat down.

Angelica smiled stiffly, "Where would you like to start today?"

Lucifer's POV

Fuck, she didn't believe me. If her body signals didn't give her away, the smell of her emotions did. I don't blame her with my track record but Angelica and I truly did nothing. Angelica tried but I wasn't interested that was centuries ago but she still made it awkward. I tuned out Angelica and Levina's conversation, as I could hear them through the walls. But oh, how I wanted to listen to what Levina was saying. No! She would never forgive me if I listened in. I decided to head down to the coffee cart and get a coffee for myself and a caramel latte for Vina when she was done.

I got back upstairs just as Angelica was saying goodbye to Vina at the door. Angelica gave me a small smile and Vina turned around to face me. Her eyes were red rimmed like she'd been crying through the whole session, she gave me her own small smile, "Hi are one of those for me?" She asked in such a small voice I wanted to kiss away her fears.

"Yes love, your favorite." I handed her, her cup and she took a sip with a content hum. "Thanks Angelica, we'll see you next week?" Levina nodded and waved to Angelica as we walked away. "Do you want to talk about you session at all?"

"Umm not really." She was being so quiet and I was worried.

"Well do you still want your surprise?" I asked cautiously gauging her reaction.

She just shrugged, "Yeah that's fine." I bit back my sigh, it felt like all the progress we had made this week was shoved back to square one. Like she had regressed to when we pulled her out of Seth's house. I snapped us to Hades' house. "Hades' house? I really don't feel up to company."

"I promise baby it'll be worth your while." She sighed but nodded, I didn't even knock on the door as Seph opened it with a squeal.

"You're here! Oh, I'm so excited!" Seph didn't seem to notice Levina's downcast mood as she threw her arms around Vina's neck.

Levina gave her a small smile and let Seph lead her into the house by the hand. When they reached the nursery Levina dropped to her knees by Shadow, who was nursing five pups. "You had your babies?" She couldn't even hold back her tears as she carefully hugged her dog and pet her head.

"She did so good, Cerberus never left her side through the whole labor and now too." Seph reached over and pet Cerberus.

Levina looked back at me with a smile and tears in her eyes. "This was my surprise? When did she have them?"

She pets Shadow behind her ears then a gentle finger down each of the pups' backs. "A week ago, we wanted to give them all time to adjust." Seph said while Levina nodded.

"They look older than a week?" Vina asked as Shadow stood up to fully greet her owner. "Hi baby missed you too. Look how good you did." Vina ruffled Shadow's fluffy mane and then Cerberus behind his ears, "I guess you helped." We all chuckled.

"Yeah, I'd say they're aging faster I'm guessing by next week they'll have their eyes open." Hades answered.

Levina was eyeing the puppies hard, "You can't hold them yet love." I gave her a small laugh.

"I know. Guess I'll just have to show mama some love. Yes, I will!" She kissed on Shadow while the new mom kissed back.

"We'll be in the kitchen, have fun love." I kissed the top of her head and just barely missed her stiffen and then relax when I stepped away.

After I reached the kitchen Hades gave me a lopsided smile, "Well I was going to offer you coffee but it looks like you need something stronger." He handed me a glass of whiskey and I drank it in one go. "What happened? I thought things were better."

"They were! Great in fact. But something changed in her therapy session today. Angelica and I had an awkward greeting. Vina thinks we were together but we weren't." I sighed and ran my hand down my face.

"Did you tell her that?" Hades sipped slowly on his whiskey.

"Of course!" I poured another glass as Seph came up to Hades.

"It's not you. She didn't have a good session today. They relived some stuff that was hard on her." Seph said quietly.

"She told you what happened?" Hurt slashing through me.

"I accidentally heard what went down at her last session. I swore to her I wouldn't say anything to you until she was ready to tell you herself." I sighed and nodded.

"I don't feel like she's ever going to be ready." I sighed again, "And if not, I guess that's okay. For my own sake it's probably better she doesn't tell me. I already want to rip Seth to shreds."

"Have you heard anything from him?" Hades asked.

"No but one of his followers showed up at court causing a scene. And get this, he's Vina's first ex-boyfriend, he used to beat her. Wanted to see that she was really in hell, said all this awful shit to her. Fuck he's lucky he's still alive but hasn't given any information about Seth or his whereabouts."

"We'll find him." Seph offered and I nodded.

"I'm going to go check on Levina." I downed my whiskey again before standing. As I got closer, I called out to Vina, "You better not be holding those puppies."

No answer came and I jogged the last few paces to find Levina curled up spooning Shadow while she nursed. Levina's hand resting on the runt of the liter, a little brown and black fluffball. Those two have bonded, he even opened his eyes when she spoke to him. She hasn't been sleeping well, has she? Shadow said to me in my head. "Good then it's hers as long as you're okay with it. And no not really." Of course, I don't think I could tear them apart. Nightmares? "Good. Yes, almost every night."

"Oh, my goodness that is the sweetest thing." Seph squealed softly behind me as I knelt down by my mate and softly ran a hand down her hair. "Why don't you two just stay the night? I'll set you up in the guest room and she can stay right there, she's basically sleeping on a mattress."

I nodded slowly and just sat with my back against the wall and my legs bent over hers. Cerberus was laying off to the side watching his mate and babies. She's good with Shadow and the pups. Cerberus said to me, "She's a caring person. She loves Shadow I think more than me." He huffed at that but didn't say anything further.

Seph came back in, "Your room is ready, we're going to have steak for supper in about an hour. See if you can wake your mate to eat."

Levina's POV

My dreams started off fine playing with Shadow's runt, he opened his eyes at me when I spoke to him and cooed at him. I knew he was meant to be mime as soon as we locked eyes. But then it quickly changed and Seth was there attacking me.

"Levina please wake up, I'm here!" Lucifer's voice broke through my nightmare and I shot up and away from him. "Love please shh it's okay."

With shaky hands I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. "Are the puppies okay?" I looked around, I wasn't by Shadow anymore. "Wait where am I?" Cold panic was seeping in as Lucifer tried to come closer.

"We're at Seph and Hades' house, we're in the guest room. I moved you here a few hours ago so you'd be more comfortable." He spoke slowly and softly so as not to spook me. "I'm sorry I wasn't here." He looked down at his lap as he sat back on his haunches.

My hands were still shaking as I pushed my hair out my face, my curls were finally coming back but they were unruly. "Did I wake everyone?" I asked in a small voice.

"No love we were still awake." I nodded and moved to stand up. "Are you okay?" I shook my head as I dashed to the bathroom. I slammed the door behind me as I reached the toilet in time to throw up. The therapy session, the dream, and the embarrassment that Seph and Hades heard me screaming, turned my stomach. Lucifer didn't say anything as he came into the bathroom and held me hair for me while I threw up until there was nothing left. When I was done, I broke down into sobs as Lucifer just held me in his lap, petting my hair. After I finally finished embarrassing myself with my sobbing I stood from Lucifer's lap. "Love please I'm here I'm not going anywhere. You don't have to be embarrassed. Seph and Hades care about you, I care about you. I'm worried about you."

He looked as shattered as I felt, "Don't be. I'm fine. I'm good now, got it out of my system." He frowned at me but nodded.

"Okay but now you need to eat. You haven't eaten since this morning and you just threw it all up." Just the thought of eating made my stomach roll.

I shook my head, "No Lucifer. I'm not even remotely hungry. Just give me a few for my stomach to settle."

"Fine what do you want to do? Go back to sleep or out to see Seph and Hades?" I cringed I didn't particularly want to face them right now but there's no way I was falling back asleep.

"I'll come out with you just let me clean up." Lucifer nodded and leaned down to kiss my forehead.

He grabbed my chin and made me look at him, "Come out when you're ready. And don't be embarrassed."

"Easier said than done." He gave me a pitying look before leaving me. Anger flared in me at my embarrassment and weakness, without thought I turned and punched the wall. Leaving absolutely no mark on the tile but my hand a bloody mess and me in pain.

I sighed and turned to the sink to wash my hand off, "Was that worth it?" Seph's voice startled me and I looked at her to see another pitying face.

"Honestly yes." I looked down at my hand it was still bleeding.

"Is it broken?" Lucifer's voice came from the door now too, no sign of anger just a hint of sadness.

I couldn't meet his eyes, "Yes." I mumbled.

He came to stand next to me. "Either your form is shit or hit that tile pretty hard."

"Probably both." I shrugged as he held my hand and inspected it, his healing heat flowing through my hand.

"Better?" I nodded without meeting his gaze, "Let's not punch anymore walls, yeah?" I nodded again. "No. Promise me."

"I promise not to hit anymore walls." I said flatly.

"Good girl," He kissed my forehead again and pulled me behind me out to the living room.

"Hi Levina." Hades said softly from his arm chair as Persephone went and sat on his lap.

"Hi Hades." Lucifer pulled us to the couch and instantly a glass of wine was in my hands before my ass hit the cushion.

"There's still some leftover dinner if you're hungry." Hades was making polite conversation but the thought of food made me nauseous.

"No, I'm okay right now. Thank you though." I sipped my wine slowly silently while listening to the others talk business and gods. While my mind went back to my session from today, reliving my kidnapping play by play. Angelica making me analyze each feeling that happened with each action. I felt like it was some kind of revenge for bringing Lucifer because I feel worse than before.

"Don't you think Levina?" Seph asked me.

"I'm sorry what I spaced out." I looked at my glass.

"I said it'd be nice for the two of us to have a spa day. We can go get massages, our nails, done, our hair." She looked so excited.

"Oh yeah. I've never done any of that before." I said quietly.

"Wait what? Why?" Asked Lucifer looking down right offended.

I shrugged, taking a sip of my wine, "Never really had the money too. And working with the electronics was rough on my hands. The only spa experience I have is when Seth waxed my entire body." I clapped a hand over my mouth and looked wide eyed at Lucifer.

"Did he do it himself?" He was surprisingly calm.

"Uh no he tied me down and had two women do it while he watched." I picked at my jeans to avoid anyone's gaze.

"Has it grown back?" Seph was the one that asked.

"Uh no surprisingly none. He put some kind of chemical on my hair to straighten it but it's finally starting to curl again. So, I thought maybe the hair would grow back too." I spoke quietly and Lucifer was stiff as a board next to me. I cleared my throat and met Seph's gaze, "But umm yes I'd like to go with you. Whenever you're free."

"How about tomorrow?" She asked hopefully.

"Sounds fine as long as Lucifer can spare me from the office?" I turned to give him a smile.

"I think I can spare you for one day." His tone was teasing but his eyes looked distant.

"Okay it's settled!" Seph said excitedly.
