♡Anime: Haikyuu♡

You check your phone and cringe as you rush down the sidewalk. You have a date with Tendou at 2 pm and it's currently 1:55 pm. Tendou isn't picky about a lot of things, but he's a stickler for being on time, especially for your dates. You turn the corner into the plaza where you were supposed to meet Tendou and look around frantically for him.

You slow down to a jog before stopping to catch your breath near the plaza's water fountain. You unlock your phone and curse as you see that the time is now 2:01 pm. You quickly start to message Tendou but jump as you feel slender hands snake around your waist.

"There's my paradise, you cut it close there my love. I was getting worried." You hear Tendou say behind you as you chuckle slightly and turn around to face him. Before you could say a word, Tendou kisses you softly making you smile.

"Does that mean that I'm not getting punished this time?" You ask while smiling cutely as Tendou bursts out laughing before abruptly stopping and grabbing your cheeks.

"Not a chance paradise. Though I'll go easy on you since you were only a minute late this time." He says as he grabs your hand and entwines it with his while smiling mischievously down at you.

"But I'm not telling you what it is yet." Tendou adds as you whine.

"Aww come on Satori! That's not fair!"

"Neither is putting effort into a date only for your significant other to show up late. It makes me question your love for me." Tendou says in a pouty tone as you quickly step in front of him and grab his face just as he had done to you.

"Don't say that love monster! You're the best boyfriend anyone could ask for, I love you more than words could describe." You declare passionately as some passersby shoot you a tiny smile. Tendou smiles brightly and chuckles.

"I know, I just like to hear you say it," Tendou says cheerfully as your expression drops. Dating Tendou is full of ups and downs, not in the relationship so much as your emotions. He's constantly playing around with your feelings in the littlest ways.

"You're the worst." You say rescinding your first declaration as Tendou leans down to meet your lips once again.

"I know that too. Now let's go paradise, I found this really cute cafe that I know you'll love. Come on come on come ooonnnn." Tendou says in a sing-song voice as he pulls you excitedly towards the direction of the cafe.

As much as Tendou's emotional fluxes catch you off guard, he makes up for it every time by being the most thoughtful partner. The two of you had started dating a couple of months after graduation, but every day is something new with Satori.

Tendou stops abruptly in front of a store and presents it to you with a bright smile. You gaze up at the shop name and tilt your head confused as you gaze through the window.

"I thought we were going to a cafe. This is a..."

"Thrift store!" Tendou finishes for you as you glare at him confused. You can never truly guess what's going through Tendou's head most days, today is no exception.

"What is this Satori? You said we were going to a cafe." You say as Tendou struts up to you before poking your nose playfully.

"Your punishment! I just thought of it, we're gonna go inside and I'll find you something to wear during the rest of our date." Tendou announces as you quickly shake your head.

"No way! There's no telling what you'll come up with!" You yell as Tendou shrugs.

"Tough luck buttercup. Show up on time and we wouldn't have these situations. Don't forget you're the one that told me to hold you accountable in order to help fix your tardiness." Tendou says reminding you of the reason you're in this predicament in the first place.

"Fine, I'm trusting you here love monster."

"A terrible choice really." Tendou replies swiftly as he grabs your hand and guides you into the store.

"How many of my life decisions went wrong for me to end up here?" You ask yourself aloud as you look at yourself in the thrift store dressing room. After ten minutes of playing around in the store Tendou finally found something that he insisted you try on.

At first, you thought it was nothing more than a frilly dress, but now you've come to realize it's a maid cosplay outfit. Not only that, but it comes with cat ears as well. Now normal is definitely not a word you'd think of if asked to describe your relationship with Tendou, but being seen with him while wearing this is a bit out there even for you.

"Paradiisseeee. Are you done yet? Need help? Should I come in? I'd gladly come in and help if you want." You hear Tendou ask clearly getting restless as your cheeks blush. You're not sure how he'll react to seeing you this way, especially considering most times you wear casual clothes.

"No! I'm coming out now!" You announce as you take a deep breath before sliding the curtain back and stepping outside. As soon as you step out Tendou's mouth drops open. He quickly covers his face and turns away from you as you frown.

"It looks bad, doesn't it? You can't even look at me." You say as Tendou clears his throat and glances back over at you while fidgeting with his hands. You've noticed he usually does that when he really wants to touch you.

"That's not it at all paradise. The exact opposite actually, you look so goddamn cute I don't know what to do with myself. I knew this one would be a keeper when I saw it." Tendou admits as you manage a smile after seeing his proud expression.

"Is this supposed to be a punishment for me or a reward for you?" You ask as Tendou smirks and takes some steps toward you.

"Why not both? You're blushing after all, but I can't tell if it's because you're embarrassed or because you know I like what I see." Tendou says sensually as you continue to take playful steps away from him.

"Come on love monster, you won't really make me wear this in public will you?" You ask as your back hits the mirror of the dressing room without you realizing it. Your heartbeat speeds up as Tendou continues to approach you while pulling the curtain closed.

This isn't going to end well.

"Hmm, I don't know yet. I want to see you dressed up a bit longer, but I also really want to take it off." Tendou says as he Kabedon's you. Before you can retaliate Tendou leans down and presses his lips needily against yours.

You feel a bit anxious about getting caught at first, but after a while, you let the thought drift away. You wrap your arms around Tendou's neck and deepen the kiss as he lets out a low chuckle.

"Already needy for me paradise? We haven't even gotten to the cafe yet." Tendou says teasingly as you roll your eyes.

"You're the one that came in here with me."

"Touche my love, but dressed like this you can't expect me not to want to hold you close," Tendou says as his long slender fingers suddenly graze your inner thigh before slowly creeping upwards. A shiver runs up your spine at the tingling sensation that threatens to overtake you.

You hear the sounds of someone entering the changing room next to yours and panic slightly as you struggle to keep your voice down. This isn't the place for this.

"Satori." You say in a whisper as Tendou pulls back his hand a bit before gripping your thigh and lifting it.

"Hmm? No finger service today? Want to get straight to it my needy little paradise?" Tendou asks whispering to your lips as he presses his body against yours. Tendou's mouth inches closer to yours but the sound of someone clearing their throat makes you both pause.

"Agh, we got caught. To be continued then." Tendou grumbles under his voice before releasing your leg and allowing you to fix your skirt.

"Um excuse me, you two can't be in there together." You hear a female voice say as Tendou rolls his eyes before placing a kiss on your forehead and pulling aside the curtain. Tendou glares at the employee as you avoid their eyes.

"Aww such a party pooper, though you've managed to persuade me. We'll get the outfit, and I want to see you in it for as long as possible." Tendou says to you before pulling off the tag and rushing off before you could argue with him over it.

"I'll go pay for it! Stay there paradise!" Tendou yells back to you as you sigh and turn around to head back towards your changing room. However, a tall guy with glasses blocks your path making you look up at him.

"My aren't you a cutie. What's that outfit for? Trying to seduce me?" The guy asks as you roll your eyes. Something about his posture and the way he talks just drips arrogance.

"The hell?! Why would I be trying to seduce you? Someone's a bit too full of themselves. Run along bean pole I'm not interested in someone so vanilla looking." You say rudely as the guy's lips curve up into a smirk.

"That's quite the mouth you have, I doubt you'd be a good maid with a tongue like that. A servant shouldn't talk back to her master after all." The guy says while you roll your eyes and place your hands on the guy's chest.

"Listen here Mr. Vanilla. You're right, I'm not a good maid, however, I would be willing to clean up your bloodstains once my boyfriend is done beating your ass." You say with a sly smirk on your face as the guy raises an intrigued eyebrow before chuckling.

"Wow, that's twice now. There was a guy I played volleyball against in high school that called me that too. Surely someone as beautiful as you wouldn't date a monster like that though." The guy says as you glare up at him. You know that Tendou played volleyball in high school, is this guy really talking about him?

*Flashback*

The first couple of weeks you realized you had a crush on Tendou he didn't even notice. You made it fairly obvious when you'd play around with him or casually touch him. He was always so cheerful and weird, but you loved how unapologetic he was.

Though you quickly noticed that while his team valued him as a player, not many thought of him as a friend. He'd be full of energy and positive reinforcement but often had to be the one to boast himself up during a good play.

It didn't take long for you to realize that he hides his true feelings behind his jokes. You wanted to change that. Eventually, you had to ask him directly whether he liked you or not since he never made the first move.

"Wait what?! Do you actually like me? But I'm...a monster and you're like a princess. You deserve so much better than someone like me." Tendou muttered lowly while avoiding your eyes. It was the first time you ever heard him speak so seriously.

You grabbed Tendou's face gently and forced him to meet your eyes.

"I don't like when you or anyone else calls you a monster. You don't deserve a stupid title like that, especially when you're so kind and gentle..." You say genuinely as Tendou's eyes look at you full of disbelief.

"...but, if you're not gonna stop calling yourself a monster then be my love monster. I'll call you that until you're just comfortable with being loved." You said as Tendou reached out for your face with an awestruck smile.

"Damn, are you my paradise or something? I've never felt so warm before, I do like you a lot Y/N. I'll do my best to treat you the way you deserve to be treated."

*Flashback Fin*

This arrogant guy in front of you just called Tendou a monster without even fully knowing what he's been through. You've never wanted to knock someone down to size faster than right now.

"Who the hell gave you the right to call someone else a monster?! What the hell defines a monster to you huh?! Someone who's a bit more eccentric than others? Someone who isn't afraid to be themselves regardless of what society deems normal?! To me, the ones who put those stupid norms in power in the first place are the monsters, not my Satori!"

You feel your chest rise and fall heavily as the guy in front of you stares down at you wide-eyed. You can already tell that everyone in the store is looking at the two of you. You open your mouth to speak again but you feel someone grab your hand and yank you backwards. Your back pressed against their chest as arms wrap around you.

"Hey calm down paradise, what happened? Who's this guy? What'd he say to you?" You hear Tendou ask in your ear softly as your body relaxes. You take a couple of deep breathes to calm down further.

"Mr. Vanilla here was trying to hit on me, he also said that he may have played against you in high school. Then he called you a monster and I lost it." You say as Tendou bursts out laughing.

"Mr. Vanilla?! Is it really you?! Wow, even my girlfriend knows that you're boring!" Tendou exclaims as the guy rolls his eyes. You still feel irritated that he can still roll his eyes at you.

"You say that as if you aren't the one that lost that game. Though I guess I should've expected that someone stupid enough to date you would be crazy." The guy replies saltily as you snort.

"Crazy? What are you talking about? I'm the crazy one in this relationship. My paradise just isn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up to a lanky four-eyed perv with a Dino fetish." Tendou announces suddenly as the guy's cocky persona finally cracks.

"Wait how do you..."

"Ah I still check in with Hinata quite a bit, he's told me a thing or two about you glasses. Need I go into more detail about the time during training camp that you..." Tendou's words are cut off by the guy sucking his teeth and shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Whatever. I'm not wasting any more time on you or your crazy cat maid." The guy says before walking off. You stick your tongue out at him as he walks away. You still feel a few lingering glances on the two of you continue to fume silently.

You suddenly feel Tendou place a hand on your head as he smiles reassuringly.

"There there paradise, ease the volcanic eruption," Tendou says as you manage a little smirk.

"Sorry, I just hate it when people judge you without knowing you. I really wanted to rip that guy's head off." You admit as Tendou chuckles.

"Yeah me too, but I'm used to it paradise," Tendou says as the two of you make your way towards the exit of the store. At this point, you don't even care about how you're dressed.

"You shouldn't have to be, it's not fair for people to judge you like that. You're such a lovable person." You say as Tendou stops walking and looks down at you with a tender smile.

"I don't need to be loved by a bunch of people, I'm fine with just being your love monster," Tendou says seriously as your heart flutters. You stand up on your tippy-toes and place a kiss on Tendou's lips.

"I love you Satori." You say as Tendou smirks and grabs your hand.

"I love you too my cute little maid! Now let's go to that cafe, did I forget to mention that it's a maid cafe?" Tendou asks as you cringe.

"Huh?! You made me wear this on purpose?! I'm gonna look like an idiot that thinks that you have to dress like a maid to go to a maid cafe!" You exclaim as Tendou shrugs.

"Next time be on time for our date then," Tendou says as you groan loudly before feeling as Tendou suddenly picks you up bridal style. You panic and push down the skirt as Tendou laughs.

"This time I'll make sure not to take my eyes off you. There are vultures all around looking to get a piece of my sweet paradise. I can't let them think they have a chance." Tendou says as he suddenly begins singing.

"Baki Baki ni ore, Nani wo? Kokoro wo da yo〜 Konagona ni kudake, Nani wo?" Tendou asks while pausing and looking down at you expectantly. You feel your lips curve into a smile. If someone like Tendou is considered a monster, then you have no problem being crazy with him.

"Seishin wo da yo!〜"
