"Hey Y/N...do you think sensei will like it?" You hear Eri ask from behind you. You turn away from the stove and crouch down to see Eri holding up a picture. It depicts her, Aizawa, and you all holding hands and smiling. You feel tears begin to well up in your eyes as Eri looks up at you expectantly.
You and Aizawa have been married for three years now, not too long after Eri was saved the two of you took on the responsibility of taking care of her. She's been staying with you for a couple of months now, though she spends more time at UA with Aizawa and Mirio than at home with you.
"Is that us? Oh, Eri it's absolutely precious! Of course, he'll love it." You say while patting her head softly. Even though Eri is legally your child, neither you nor Aizawa has forced her to think of you as her parents. Though little moments like this makes you wonder if she really considers you to be family.
"You think so?! He's been so nice to me, both of you have. So I wanted to make something nice for you both." Eri exclaims as you bite down on your bottom lip to try and hold back tears. Until a little while ago Eri used to be really quiet, but after spending more time with Mirio and Deku she's slowly starting to express herself more.
"Oh sweetie, that's so thoughtful of you. Say, how about we set up a nice dinner for when Shouta gets home. Then we'll surprise him with your awesome drawing." You propose as Eri nods but frowns a bit.
"Wait, but then you'd be left out," Eri says as you shake your head.
"I'll be fine, Shouta works really hard for the two of us anyway. I'll set the table, wanna help?" You ask as Eri continues to frown before snapping her fingers and nodding.
"Oh! I have an idea, I'll be back Y/N!" Eri says as she rushes off in the direction of her room leaving you confused. You shake it off and finish up dinner as you smile to yourself. You set the table and plate for the three of you, something that you haven't gotten to do in a while.
Your phone buzzes suddenly making you glance over at it to see a message from Aizawa. Being the teacher of class 1-A and still having to report as a hero are pretty draining tasks for Aizawa. Though, he somehow still finds the time to check in with you and Eri.
SleepyBoi💝~ I managed to finish a bit earlier today. I should be home in 10 minutes or so. Are you girls doing alright?
Y/N~ Of course, we're fine. Eri seems to want to show you something though. So hurry home alright daddy Shouta. We're waiting for you!

SleepyBoi💝~ 🏃🏃🏃
You snort a bit to yourself at Shouta using emojis, but you're certain that's something his students must've taught him.
"Eri! Shouta said he'll be home a bit earlier today. Isn't that great! Dinner is done now too!" You yell to her as you hear thundering footsteps rush towards the kitchen. You see Eri's head poke out from behind the wall as well as a light cloud of pink glitter.
"Agh I'm not ready yet. Don't start without me, Kay?!" Eri says before quickly rushing back to her room. You raise a confused eyebrow before finishing up with the table. Not too long later you hear the sound of keys jingling and glance over at the door as it opens.
"I'm home," Aizawa announces enthusiastically as he closes the door behind him.
"Welcome home babe!" You say cheerfully as Aizawa manages a smile despite looking drained as usual. He walks over to you and grabs your waist before pressing his lips against yours. Your back pressed against the table as Aizawa reluctantly pulls away from you.
"I take it that you missed me then." You say chuckling lightly as Aizawa cups your face gently.
"I always miss you kitten, you're the only reason I can put up with the bullshit during the day. Well, you and Eri. Speaking of which where is she?" Aizawa asks as you shrug.
"She ran back to her room not too long ago. She said she had an idea so I guess she's preparing something big for you. You're her favourite after all." You say jokingly as you hear little footsteps walk towards you.
You and Aizawa step away from each other innocently as Eri approaches. She holds something behind her back and avoids your eyes making you panic. Did something go wrong?
"Um...I...made this for both of you. I already showed it to Y/N but I added some stuff." Eri says as she pulls out the drawing from earlier to show you and Aizawa. You feel your heart stop as you see the additions Eri added. Next to the drawings of the two of you, Eri added the names mom and dad in pink glitter.
You and Aizawa both exchange a glance as you look down at Eri's uncertain expression.
"We're a family now right? So...is it OK if I call you two mom and dad now?" Eri asks innocently as tears stream down your face. You didn't know what to expect, but this definitely caught you off guard. You drop down to your knees before quickly pulling Eri into a hug.
"Of course we're a family, you can call us whatever you want princess. We both love you very much, this is an incredible gift Eri." You say as you look up at Aizawa whose eyes are full of tears threatening to fall. Eri leaves your grasp as she walks over and tugs on Aizawa's pants.

"Dad? Are you alright? Did I make you sad?" Eri asks as Aizawa snaps out of it and quickly shakes his head before dropping down to Eri's height and smiling. You've never seen Aizawa act so softly before, he's the complete opposite of how he is with everyone else when it comes to Eri.
"No, the exact opposite. You made me the happiest man in the world princess. I don't deserve you or your mom." Aizawa says as he places a kiss on Eri's forehead. She throws her arms around Aizawa before glancing back at you.
"I made you both cry...but you're happy?" Eri asks as you nod and kiss her forehead.
"Mhmm, their happy tears." You explain as Eri lifts a hand to your cheek and brushes your tears away. Incidentally, the cute action only makes you want to cry more.
"I hope Mirio and Shinsou don't get too upset with me," Eri says as the three of you eventually stop hugging and crying for long enough to sit down and eat together.
"What do you mean by that?" Aizawa asks as Eri finishes chewing her food before speaking again.
"I think Mirio wanted to be my dad too, but I heard someone say that he's too young to be a dad so I chose you instead sensei," Eri says honestly as you snort while Aizawa accidentally activates his quirk.
"I almost lost to a high schooler? Was it really that difficult a decision?" Aizawa asks as his hair stands on edge only making you chuckle more. Mirio does hang out with Eri the most when you and Aizawa are busy working.
"And I remember hearing Shoto ask Deku if Shinsou was your secret love child. I don't really get what that means, but I wouldn't mind if he was my big brother too." Eri continues as you cover your mouth in a poor attempt to hide your laughter.
"Secret...love child?" Aizawa says slowly, clear disbelief in his tone.
"Well, you have taken a liking to him lately. I hear he's even getting pretty good at using your binding cloth."
"Huh? Oh yeah, where'd you hear that from? I didn't get the chance to tell you about the kids' progress yet." Aizawa says as you smirk.
"Oh, I heard it from Todoroki when he casually asked me if my natural hair colour was purple." You say as Aizawa groans and places two fingers on his temple.
"I swear those kids are too much...I'll deal with that tomorrow," Aizawa says as his hair finally falls back over his shoulders.
"Speaking of which. Eri, do you want to try some training with your quirk tomorrow? The first years will be starting up their work studies again so I'll have some time." Aizawa says as Eri nods making you smile at your little family.
°°°
"Eri's finally asleep. I had to promise her I'd show the other students her picture tomorrow." Aizawa says as he walks back into the living room. You look up from your book as Aizawa crawls onto the couch with you before collapsing on top of you. You smile and put your book down as you begin to pet his head softly.
It's been a while since Aizawa's gotten enough leeway to be able to relax. You hear him groan softly as you play with his hair, it's something that always puts him to sleep. Not that he ever needed help falling asleep.
"I never thought I'd be able to have even one special someone in my life, now I have two. How'd I get this lucky when I'm such a lazy bastard?" Aizawa says half asleep as you chuckle.
"You're so much more than Shouta. Don't get me wrong you are completely a lazy bastard, but that's not all there is to you. Otherwise, Eri wouldn't have gravitated towards you the way she does." You say while smirking to yourself.
"Hmm, you did almost lose to Mirio though." You quickly add as Aizawa props himself up on his arms and glares at you. You smile innocently back at him.
"Are you trying to aggravate me, Kitty? You know what happens when you do that." Aizawa says as you shake your head.
"Of course I'm not! You have lots of great qualities daddy Shouta."
"Oh? Is that so kitten? I'd like to hear about these qualities I have then." Aizawa says in a low husk tone that sends chills down your spine.
"You already get a bunch of praises from your students when they're not scared of you. Need I stroke your ego even more?" You ask as Aizawa smirks.
"Would you rather stroke something else then Kitty?" Aizawa whispers to your lips as you gulp. You secretly love when Aizawa gets like this, ever since Eri moved in the two of you have drastically calmed down. However, the look in Aizawa's eyes is full of desire.
"What's wrong Kitty? Cat's got your tongue?" Aizawa asks suddenly as his hands slide down your torso before stopping right above your shorts. You stammer a bit as Aizawa lifts your shirt and places tiny kisses on his way down to your treasure box.
"Shouta right here? But Eri is..."
"Asleep, the girl's a heavy sleeper anyways. Besides, I've gotta look after my Kitty. It's been a while since I've heard you purr."
Alright I tried to make this one as wholesome as possible but it always goes south at the end haha

CW: Contains mildly graphic scenes of violence/death, topics of unwanted pregnancy/abortion, scientific experimentation on sapient beings, depression/suicide, grief, and trauma. The tone of this fiction is often dark and distinctly dystopian in lighter shades of Margaret Atwood, though where there is darkness there is always hope and light. On Hiatus Until September When the School Year Begins and Mom This story takes a considerable amount of time and mental energy to complete. I thought I had enough backlog and time to post it as a serial while COVID kept my child home from school, but it turns out while I can quickly write other pieces, I cannot produce the quality I need with this one at an acceptable rate. We'll resume in September when my days are much freer. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned for a different storytelling romp more suited for a serial platform in the meantime.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
