(Media : Novalee when she was human, her eyes are red now )
While the others are at school, Carlisle is at the hospital, Esme is in town somewhere, and Edward is in Alaska, Novalee goes into the woods alone for a hunt. she flashes through the trees before stopping at the treaty line, she almost crossed it.
Sam's wolf is there and he rises a wolf eyebrow.
"Sorry about that, Sam," Novalee says as she smiles. "I got caught up in running. Can I carry on my hunt?" The wolf nods. "Thank you." The vampire runs off in the opposite direction.
~~~
"That new vampire is real... Nice for a newborn," Sam says as he enters his house where Jared and Paul are goofing off in the living room. "She got caught up running, almost passed the boundary line but stopped herself, and apologized."
"There is something different about her," Jared claims. "I don't know what, but I have a feeling Novalee Cullen will change everything."
"What do you mean, everything?" Sam asks.
"Ask Harry," Jared says. "I think he felt it, too."
~~~
Novalee sits on a rock on the Cullen side of the treaty, her eyes closed as the rain picks up amd drenches her. Her brown hair sticks to her cold skin, but she doesn't mind. The rock is right beside the boarder, she's alone. Or so she thought.
"You're Novalee?" A deep voice asks.
Novalee looks over and finds a well built guy with the same tattoo as Sam. "I was, the last I checked."
"Funny," the guy rolls his eyes. "I'm Paul, we didn't meet earlier. I'm the third in command for alpha, after Jared."
"Jared was with Sam earlier," Novalee smiles. "Nice guy, even though I didn't talk to him." She sighs. "What do you want, Paul?"

"Just wanted to meet the new leech," Paul seas.
"Classic," Novalee scoffs.
"Do what?" Paul rises an eyebrow.
"That's a corny label," Novalee points out. "Let me Guess... Mu coven calls you mutts?"
"Most of your kind do," Paul informs her.
"That's stupid, if you ask me," Novalee replies. "You're a shifter. I don't see you as mutts, even if you do smell like a wet dog."
Paul chuckles as he sits on the Quilette side. "You're not so bad, Novalee Cullen."
"Neither are you Paul whatever your last name is," Novalee retorts.
"Lahote," Paul says. "That's my last name."
Before Novalee can reply, Sam finds them in wolf form. The pack alpha is pleased to see the both of them on their proper sides. Novalee smiles at the alpha before he mind links Paul for their usual La Push patrol.
"I gotta go," Paul says as he jumps up. "Got patrol. I'll see you around, I'm sure." He phases amd runs off.
Sam's wolf eyes Novalee before he runs to join Paul. Novalee returns home and she finds Esme home. Esme smiles at the girl.
"The red is finally fading," Esme coos and hands the vampire a mirror.
Novalee looks at herself and smiles. "Awesome."
Novalee puts the mirror on the counter as she watches Esme disinfect it even though everyone in the house is pretty much already dead.
"That's a feeling I can accept," Jasper says as he walks in with Alice. "Happy."
"You still need to cheer up, Jasper," Novalee says. "Your bloodlust... You can control it, Jas. If I can and I'm a newborn, you can."
"You don't know if you can or not," Jasper concludes as he sits on the stool, Alice left for a hunt and Esme went upstairs. "You haven't been around a human yet."

"On the plane, I was," Novalee says.
"No, you weren't, don't lie," Jasper says with a sly grin. "Carlisle fold us you were secluded from the humans and were picked up alone. You haven't been close to a human, let alone a bleeding one."
"Are you trying to tempt me, Jasper?" Novalee asks as Rosalie walks in, Nova rises an eyebrow. "It isn't going to work, my empathic friend, I can feel your defeat. You don't know what to say."
Jasper glares into her eyes, he's kind of annoyed. But not in an angry way, but in a way a brother gets with a sibling. At the annoyed feeling, Novalee smirks and she goes upstairs, and finds her room done. It's white, almost all white. She smiles. Novalee loves the color white, or anything light and bright for the matter.
The girl grabs a book from the shelf and sits down, and starts it.

Battle Hardened
Formerly know as "Long experience" I have changed the name due to feedback saying it sounding like a dick joke. When the apocalypse started most people ran or hid, but Texas has a different mentality. This story follows the exploits of a group of physically and mentally damaged military veterans that have found themselves on the frontline fight at the end of the world. Zombies, robots, and aliens are only the first enemies they fight in what wil become humanity's long war or last stant against to a hostile universe. This series is actually based on a series of strange and bizarre dreams/nightmares I had on 2010 and heavily influenced by my reading of Humanity Fuck Yeah stories. Cover: I actually made a much larger cover than necessary and was forced to crop out two thirds of it, the full image can be found here http://fav.me/ddkz10t
