Novalee and Emma are at Sam's again, Embry is weird out by the fact his girlfriend adopted his little sister, but he's okay with it. Cheryl has gotten worse, her cancer's grew to a stage 4 and Emma denies seeing her. She's scared to, and Embry understands why. Right now, Embry, Jared, Paul, and Sam are off to get Jacob.
Jacob hasn't spoken to Bella in a long time. Not since he turned a couple weeks ago. Novalee knows Bella's concerned and scared he's leaving her. Sometimes, Nova swears Bella has abandoned issues or a fear of being abandoned. Novalee did, until her coven left her.
Emily is showing Novalee how to make muffins, since she will be becoming human soon and she's now a mom to a ten and half year old girl. Emma's almost eleven now. The front door bounds open, alerting them that the guys are home, Emma's our back playing on the swing set Sam set up for her.
"You guys hungry?" Emily asks, not looking at the guys as they enter, Embry wraps his arms around Novalee. "Or do i even have to ask." Emily turns and she spots Bella, when nova sees her - she tenses. "Oh, who's this?"
"Bella Swan, who else?" Embry responds as he sits next to Jared at the table, Novalee leans against the counter.
"Hmm..." Emily muses. "So, you're the vampire girl?"
"And you're the wolf girl?" Bella assumes, ignoring Emily's scars.
"I guess so, I'm engaged to one," Emily says and Jared reaches for a muffin.
Novalee smacks his hand away, earning a grunt of displeasure. "Save some for your brothers. And ladies first." She grabs the basket and holds it out to Bella. "Muffin?"
"Sure, thanks," Bella says gently as she grabs a muffin.

"Leave it to Jacob to find a way around Sam's gag order," Emily comments, making Novalee smirk as Emma comes in. "Emma, sweetie, get a muffin before your uncles devour the rest of them."
Emma nods and she grabs one. Jared eyes her with stern eyes.
"Don't look at me like that, uncle Jared," Emma scolds, he smirks and grabs one muffin. "Good." She hugs Nova. "Hey, mom."
"Are you ready to see Cheryl?" Nova asks and Emma shakes her head no.
"Jacob didn't say anything," Bella replies to Emily.
"It's a wolf thing," Embry comments. "Alpha's orders get obeyed, rather we want them to or not. Oh, and check it out!" He exclaims, making Emma roll her eyes. "We can read each other's thoughts."
"Would you shut up!?" Jared exclaims as he scarfs down the muffin he had. "These are trade secrets! Damn it. This chick runs with vampires." This makes Novalee laugh. "No offense, Nova."
"None taken," Nova replies with a smile.
"You can't run with vampires..." Bella says nervously. "Because they're fast."
"Yeah?" Jared asks tauntigly as he sits up a little. "Well, we're faster. You freaked out yet?"
"You're not the first monsters I've met," Bella replies, making Emma laugh this time.
"Jake's right," sam says as he enters the house. "You are good with weird." He kisses Emily. "Hey, Emma."
"Hi, Sam," Emma greets. "Can i watch the tv in your room?"
Sam nods, sending her on her way when Paul and Jacob come piling in. Paul playfully shoves Jacob while laughing. He smirks at Novalee before sitting at the table and stuffs his face with a muffin before turning to Bella.

"Sorry," he says with a full mouth before turning to the pack.
"They're always this disgusting," Novalee says to Bella.
"Shut up!" Jared groans.
"What you gonna do?" Novalee asks with a raised eyebrow.
Jared smirks. "Embry, we need a meeting later for what i can do to your imprint."
"Deal," Embry says.
"Embry!" Novalee gasps. "How rude."
He smirks before he throws a muffin at her. She catches it and hands it to Bella.
"Enjoy," Nova says. "They're heavenly. Emma! Come on, let's go home!"
Emma turns Sam and Emily's bedroom tv off before she runs after her new mom, they go to Forks amd back home. Emma goes straight to bed while Novalee takes a shower.

Instead a being known as the System has recruited the soul of a modern college student from our world, to fill in for him. Given a new life in a new body, the former human wants to make good use of it and fulfill the dreams of the one he's replacing. He's an Engineer in a world where that's a character class with explicit levels and stats. This world is just discovering the power of steam and clockwork and the occasional magic dungeon crystal, so Vonn is just in time to become a famous genius. He just needs to figure out what the gods actually want from him. (LitRPG Isekai with light but important stats, nonhuman MC. Cover art by Alexandra, https://www.deviantart.com/oktoberbeef .) This book is now available on Amazon! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B09H5CQSX5 For legal reasons, I need to hide most of the content from Royal Road for now. The version for sale is revised and expanded anyway, including a rewritten opening. If the book does well, that's encouragement to write more of it soon! Reviews are welcome too. As noted in the afterward, it's been fun and useful to share this work with all of you here as I worked on it. Update 2022/2/22: Wow, it did do well! Thanks to all who read, commented, bought, and/or spread the word. Right now I'm working on a side-story about character Selen, and posting that starting yesterday. I do plan to do a true sequel this year, yet.

Cloudlark
File under: sky pirates, guild level-ups, and true companions (nakama) The problem isn't her, it's her folks. Seren is tired of living a lonely life on the island, but every time she brings up the lack of community to her parents, they tell her that it's better that way. She really does. When it becomes crystal clear that nothing will change, the lure of far off horizons is louder than ever. The last straw is when an attempt to abide by the rules fails and even small pleasures are taken from her. Opportunity knocks and she throws open the door, determined to prove that she can take care of herself. Too bad the world is just as determined to prove otherwise. The Storyteller: Fires in the Sky
[First story complete. Put on hiatus until the next story in this series starts going up.] Come children, gather round the fire and listen to stories of when the earth was young. Of when mankind stood high above all of creation, and proudly ruled the land, sea, and sky. Of times before the storms and the hunters. Who knows, maybe you'll learn something from the past that will help guide your future. Now grab a warm drink and listen on a cold night to how the heavens themselves came to be. The first in a series of short stories about ancient mythology set in a post-apocalyptic world that's just trying to make sense of natural phenomenon and how mankind fell from grace. Our first tale is about two siblings, the Sun and the Moon, and how rivalry, jealousy, neglect, and fear led them straight to the jaws of death.

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
