"Woah! I've never seen this place on the island before!" I exclaims, nudging Midas' elbow. "I find it pretty cool, what about you Midas?"
He looks down at me.
"Hm? Oh, sorry. Got lost in my thoughts again. It's not the most impressive, BUT we at least have somewhere to stay and to plan revenge against Chaos." He responds, clutching onto his sister's unconscious body.
"You think Jules will be okay?" I ask, slightly hopeful.
"She's a strong girl, she'll be fine." He tells me.
Hmm, I'm confused though. If Jules is Midas' sister, she'd know that he's team Ghost's leader, thus she'd be on the same side. But she isn't...how come?
What happened with them that tore them apart?
*****************************************
"Well I'll be!! Skye!! Haven't seen ya for months!"
A newcomer greets the crew. Wearing a Ghost helmet similar to Brutus' old one, but more decorated, a short blue jacket, pink shirt and purple and blue leggings, she runs up to Skye and embraces her with a big ol' hug.
"It's so good to see you again Ocean! You remember Sophie right?" Skye grins, nudging Ocean's shoulder.
An embarrassed Sophie does a smile and a wave to a friend she usually never sees that much.
"Eyy, I remember you! How are ya?" She greets the child.
"Well, you're certainly very cheerful, like agent Skye." Midas acknowledges, meeting Ocean for the first time. "By the way, I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting you, Ocean, you may call me M."
"M? Oh man, I didn't expect to see you here! No offense, but I heard rumours that you were killed." She says, holding out her hand.
"None taken, but no. I assume Shadow made up stories about me after my...'departure'." Midas wonders, clearing his throat.

"Well, I happy to say that since you...four intend on staying, I have plenty of rooms ready for use here at the Fortilla."
As Ocean gives a tour of the Fortilla, unknown to Midas, Jules has started stirring, waking up.
"Hm? What happened? Where am I?" She whispers. Upon seeing her brother, sweat begins to go down her forehead.
"Woah, Jules! Wait a sec!-" He shouts, her slipping from his grip.
"Don't touch me! Stay back!" She panics, taking out a clinger grenade.
"Wait, miss Jules! Calm down!" Sophie pleads, walking up to her. However, Jules sees it as threat, and slaps her away, very hard.
"Ow! Hey!"
Letting out a groan, Midas charges up to her, a frown on his face.
"Ok, that was just unnecessary. What the hell Jules?" He sighs.
"You're one to talk!! You flooded the entire fff... flipping island!!" She retaliates, resisting the urge to let out a bad word.
"Listen! I didn't know that was going to happen!"
"Yeah right! What did you even build it for?!"
"I...I..."
"Exactly."
"That's classified information, Jules."
"Jeez, just stop with the classy, classified talk! It's so annoying!"
"I'm sorry Jules, but you're not the Jules I remembered 14 years ago. What happened to you?"
"What's happened to me? You ABANDONED US!! ME AND MOM!! She wrote letters every day, begging you to come home, and yet no response came. You never cared about us."
"Jules, you're taking everything I did for you and throwing it away!!"
"I also see you've found a replacement for me too."
"What do you-"
"That kid, Midas. You care about her more don't you?"
"What, no! I just decided to take her under Ghost protection and..."

"See! My point exactly!"
"I always cared about you Jules! You AND mum!"
"No, we're just problems in your way. Toys you put away when you get bored with them-"
That second to last sentence is what sent Midas over the edge. His skin turning completely gold and his voice echoing as he yells.
Everyone is in stunned silence at Midas and Jules' heated argument and his enraged outburst. Even other nearby henchmen overhearing the debate are stunned. As the gold fades back to his wrists, putting a hand on his head, Midas falls onto the ground, unconscious.
"Midas!" Everyone panics. "Is he okay?!"
Skye, putting an ear near his heart, sighs in relief.
"He's ok, his power took a lot out of him though."
"Don't worry, I'll have Remedy take a look at him." Ocean reassures them, putting a finger on her earpiece, making the call.
Jules watches as Skye and Sophie pick Midas' body up and follow Ocean to one of the restrooms, her trailing behind reluctantly.

An Unbound Soul
When Peter suffers a too-close encounter with a truck, he finds himself reborn in another world. At first glance it is a perfect fantasy land. There's magic to play with, elves singing in the forest and a hyperactive catgirl neighbour. There's even a System that lets him earn skills and level up. But it isn't long before he notices that the world is far too perfect. Just why is everyone so nice? Can Peter accept the alien morality of this world's self-proclaimed protector, or will he seek to overthrow her? Set after the events of A Lonely Dungeon, a few hundred years after the rebirth of civilization, this is a story about an earthling falling into Erryn's new world and the subsequent struggles of himself and Erryn to understand each other. It's a slow paced slice of life, and while there are pieces of action, don't expect any immediate grand conflict between Erryn and Peter. Published here, scribblehub and amazon. Two new chapters a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

How to Raise Your Dungeon
A dungeon core awakens for the first time. It knows nothing, it has nothing, but it can hear something. Voices, whispering, talking, and sharing. For now, they are distant. But it believes, if it proves itself, they may provide it with wisdom and direction. And so its slow but steady growth begins. Polls will come when the dungeon specifically wants to choose between a number of options, and believes it will receive an answer. However, it will "hear" any comments made on the most recent chapter, and these will shape its behaviour. It trusts you implicitely. This story is an exercise in stretching my creative muscles, so with each decision made, the options and opportunities open to the dungeon will change- some closing off forever. The dungeon will face threats periodically, and its fate in these encounters will be heavily influenced by your advice, though it will of course do its absolute best even without advice. It hardly wants to die. Heavily inspired by There Is No Epic Loot Here, Only Puns, though my approach to the concept is somewhat different from that work.
