"M? Are you in here? What's the matter?"
"Mum...t-the gold's spreading! It hurts! Why is it spreading?!"
"Shh, calm down. It must be a reaction from your state of mind. Try to keep calm, take deep breaths for me and tell me what's wrong."
"W-Well...dad said something about me getting a younger sibling soon. Is that true?!"
"I specifically told him to tell you under my supervision. Why doesn't he listen sometimes?"
"What does this mean? Am I being replaced? Do you still love me? Did you want a kid that's normal and not a freak like me-"
"Now don't you dare say that about yourself M. I'll have a word with your father later. You're not being replaced, and you're NOT a freak. We love you dearly... well, at least I do. Gold hands or not, you'll always be my little golden child no matter what happens, understand?"
"Thanks mum...But I'm still scared. What if my golden touch hurts her? I still can't control it that well yet."
"Here. These gloves will help you hide your power. Conceal your power, and she won't know anything about it. Whenever you're ready in the future we'll tell her about it, but for now, let us keep your power between the two of us."

Midas wakes with a gasp, recalling the memory. Seems like the memories of the past are continuing to haunt him, he's just praying that from here on out, they don't get worse as time goes on.
"Another memory? Is this my mind's way of telling me to go and visit mother after this war has ceased." He questions himself, putting on his jacket, doing the buttons up. "Nevermind, it's in the past. I have more important things to do."

Doing up his tie, he steps from his room and is pleased to find the henchmen and agents outside already building barriers and loading their weapons in preparation for Chaos Agent's arrival.
As he makes his way over to Jules and Skye, who at the moment are having a pleasant conversation over tea and cereal, Midas notices a very bored looking Sophie sat alone.
"Hmm, you remind me of myself. Staring into the distance every now and then." He surprises her, making her jump.
"Oh! Midas you're awake, at last..." She smiles, her mood brightened by his presence. "I see you've got my kind of hair, y'know, the hair you get when you wake up in the morning." She giggles.
"Hm? Oh, I see. Well, I can remedy that easily." He takes a comb from his pocket and faces the nearest window, combing through his hair, straightening it out. All the while, the girl watches in admiration.
"Y'know, my mother usually used to do my hair for me." He sighs, letting out a chuckle.
"Heh, mine too." She agrees.
It looks like Midas is beginning to lower his barriers and let someone else in on his past.
"My dad sometimes did as well, although...he didn't really care that much about me." Midas admits, putting the comb away.
"Sounds like you had a tough time with your father then..."
Midas mumbles something under his breath, although Sophie can't make it out.
"Boss, choppa's coming dead ahead straight towards us. Your orders?" A henchmen asks through Midas' earpiece.
"Hold your fire. Wait until they hit the ground." He responds, putting his finger to his ear.
"Kid, there's a glass case with a golden drum gun inside my office. Can you please bring it to me?" He asks, giving her a key.

"Yes sir!" She enthusiastically agrees, running off.
Meanwhile all the other henchmen and agents begin to pull out weapons like rocket launchers, Assult rifles and shotguns.
"On my command, you attack." He mutters, sending a message to all the henchmen and agents.
The choppa's then all land and henchmen and Shadow agents pour out, running straight for the Fortilla.
"NOW!!"
Almost at once, the Ghost and Shadow henchmen begin to fire back and forth between each other. Skye and Ocean charge ahead whilst Jules sticks by Midas.
"Take this you Shadow scum!!" Ocean shouts, pulling out a burst assult rifle, whilst Skye pulls out her AR and fires at the oncoming Shadow henchmen.
"Yeah, what she said!"
"Jules, while they are your henchmen, I want you to stay behind me." Midas says, passing her a pistol to use.
"Can do Midas." She says, firing back.
Sophie then returns with a golden drum gun in hand.
"Thank you kid, now stay behind me. This fight is going to get very unpleasant." He mutters, taking the gun and firing it at a henchmen, killing him instantly.
"But, can't I help?"
"You can help by NOT getting yourself killed."
Letting his golden power cover his entire body once more, he charges through the henchmen, the bullets deflecting off of him as if they were paper balls being thrown at him.
*****************************************
It's looking horrible out here. Henchmen are dying left and right on both sides, both suffering heavy casualties. I'm fascinated by the fact that when M turns completely gold, he's technically indestructible. Nothing can hurt him at all. I really want to know where this 'golden power' of his came from...but I know he'll never tell me...
I never thought I'd see the day I would be fighting for Ghost and betraying Shadow. Maybe my brother was right, he knew I'd change my mind at some point, but I didn't expect to happen this fast!
"Miss Jules?! Why are shooting at your own henchmen?" A shadow henchman pointing his pistol at me asks. "We should've known you'd succumb to Ghost's lies. You're the leader's sister after all!"
"Listen buddy, Chaos Agent can fire me all he wants, but I see who the real good guys are now." Jules fires at the henchman, killing him.
The fighting continues for what seems like hours. That's when TnTina and Brutus make their move. With him driving the choppa, Tina throws down a bunch of grenades, dynamite and fires a rocket launcher for good measure.
"Explosives up above!!" Ocean shouts, pointing upwards.
"Everyone run for cover!" Midas yells. Most of the henchmen run for cover, while some, both Ghost and Shadow, continue to shoot at each other.
"Kid, go! Get inside." Midas strains, blood staining his hands and jacket.
"No! I'm not gonna leave you here!"
"I'm not asking you!!" He begs. The explosives then come raining down, exploding on impact.
"LOOK OUT!!"
