《More Than What He Seems - A Fortnite Story No.1》Chapter 27 - Final Preparations

It's time.
This final fight has been long overdue.
But now, it's finally happening. The war between Ghost and Shadow, me and Chaos Agent, will finally reach its intended conclusion.
And I intend to come out on top to save the kid AND the island.
"Mr M, sir?" A henchmen calls from outside my door.
"Yes?" I reply, doing my tie up.
"We're all ready to go when you are. And Meowscles and his son have arrived." He informs me.
"Wait, he brought Kit with him too?"
I allow the henchman to escort me down to where my henchmen and agents are patiently waiting for my orders. I sprint on over to where Meowscles is happily catching up with Skye, who looks delighted to see him again.
"Hey boss. Did mew miss me?" Meowscles chuckles as I stroke him affectionately.
"Never mind that, I heard you brought Kit with you." I sigh, folding my arms.
"Ah, you'll see why in a second. Kit, come here!"
A loud engine begins powering up, coming closer to them. I'm surprised to find Kit driving on top of a mechanical robot body being controlled by his paws on motorbike gears.
"W-Wow... where did this come from?" I ask, unexpected by this reveal.
"Just a little side project Jules here helped me with." Meowscles explains, Jules looking a little embarrassed by her name getting mentioned.
"Heh, probably should've told you about Meowscles, but I didn't know he used to work for you." Jules chuckles.
I sigh with a small laugh.
"Well, we need all the help we can get. So as long as you stay with him Meowscles, he can come with us."
Kit purrs happily in response, as if to say 'thank you'.
"Alright, we've waited around long enough. Let us go end this war. To the Authority!" I order, raising my voice.

Everyone gathers into the motorboats, whilst Jules, getting into the pilot seat, me, Skye, Ocean, Meowscles and Kit hop into the choppa. They all started their engines, and begin the trip to the Authority for the last time.

Meanwhile, down in the darkest part of the Authority, a young child behind bars slowly wakes up to the sound of a heavy metal door creaking open. She tries getting up, but her arms and legs are covered in scars and bruises.
Ever since she was captured by the Chaos Agent, she'd been tortured physically for what seemed like days, wearing a dirty white shirt and grey torn leggings.
A henchmen comes along, carrying a SMG. Staring down at Sophie, he sighs.
"Come on, let's get this done with. It seems your pretty golden hero didn't care about you after all." He said coldly, hitting Sophie mentally in the heart.
"W-Where are we going?" She whimpers.
He tilts his head, showing she should know what's about to happen. Sophie suddenly realizes, holding her hand across her throat, and gulps in fear.
Two other henchmen show up, holding lengths of rope. As the first henchman opens the door, the others begin to tie her hands together, the other rope most likely to be for her feet when she's faced with her inevitable doom.
The two henchmen holding her tight and the other with the SMG behind her, Sophie sadly walks out of the prison cells and up to the main floor of the Authority.
On the path, she looks around the place and finds TnTina leaning against the wall, staring at her. She looks... disgusted, and turns her gaze to the wall.
"Wait! Tina! Tina!!" She cries, the henchmen shoving her up to the stairs.
*****************************************
Reaching the very top, both the 3 henchmen and Sophie are shocked to find the top has been blown open, and in the centre of the office, stands The Device.

"Hang on a second, isn't that the thing that flooded the island?!" She yells, trying to pull out of the henchmen's grasps.
"On the contrary, child. This is the very device that, yes, flooded the island, but was also built by that golden weakling." Chaos Agent chuckles deeply, scaring the girl.
"M built this thing?" She asks, being forced to sit down as her feet are bonded together with the rope.
"Yes. Why, did you think it was me?"
"Well, I thought of it. You technically rebuilt it too." She guesses.
He smirks, leaning towards the girl.
"Did you REALLY think that a guy like him cared about you?"
Sophie leans back, scared of him.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Does my face scare you? Here, how about this."
His ink coated face suddenly shifts and morphs to look like Midas' face, smirking devilishly at her.
"T-That's not any better!!" She cries, tears forming in her eyes.
"Well, don't worry sweetheart. It's going to be the last face you see." He laughs, mimicking Midas' voice and pulling out an dripping ink covered scythe. "I'll make it quick."
But just before he can swing down to slice her, a henchman rapidly runs up.
"Sir!! Ghost are invading!! They have a whole army here!!"
"Midas!! He's here?!"
"Quiet you!!"
The Chaos Agent puts the scythe behind his back, turning around.
"Send EVERYONE we have at them. Don't let them get up here!! Go now!!" He orders the henchman, who salutes him and runs back down.
"He might have shown up brat, but he won't make it up here alive! I'll make sure of it."
With a flip of a switch, the device begins powering up as pillars start rising out of the waters of the Authority. At the same time, a purple storm begins to hover over the island, as rain slowly pours downs.
This truly was the final confrontation between Midas and Chaos Agent.
The war was coming to a close, with both sides armed with henchmen and weapons. And both were determined to win.
But with the device back in operation once more, who knows what was going to happen.
All Sophie knew, was that she believed in Midas and Ghost. He's the smartest guy she's ever had the pleasure of working... and becoming friends with, despite his serious looks.
"You can do this Midas...I believe in you...more than anyone else..."
