"This is the last time where you can work on your group projects. You have thirty minutes left to finish it!" Mr. Wilson says when I enter the classroom, a bit late as always. Everyone's looking at me the same way. They are used to me being late by now. I don't want Billie to ask anything, if she does, I'm going to leave the fucking classroom, I swear. Nervously, I sit down next to her and she looks at me with a sympathetic smile.

"You good?" She asks. Something about it feels like she really cares, but as usual, I can't be sure.

"Yeah, thank you", I answer with a weak smile and we start working.

I don't think that Billie realises how much I appreciate her not asking me questions about yesterday. If I would be her, I would never talk to myself again. It feels like she actually cares about my feelings. That sounded corny, i'll take that back.

In the middle of a conversation between me and Billie, a voice interrupts us.

"Em, what's that on your cheek?" It's Karen. Karen Wilson and her stupid friends. She stands in front of me, smirking with her arms crossed. Her question makes me freeze and I don't know what to say. Why didn't I cover it up better? She asks the question so stupidly, like she actually knows what could've happened but acts like she doesn't.

Before I even have the chance to answer, I can hear Billie's voice breaking the silence.

"Is it that interesting? Go back to your project, there's only ten minutes left", She snaps, making the girls giggle awkwardly.

"Billie you don-"

"I'm serious", She says, making the girls walk away, ashamed. I just sit there with my mouth open, did someone just defend me?

"Uhm, thank you", I say, still a bit chocked.

"I just hate those girls, they try to use me, you know? They ask me stuff all the time and it's getting annoying, dude", She mumbles, looking down and I can relate, just not in the same way.

"Yeah, Karen and her friends are even more stupid than Mr. Wilson to be honest", I sigh with a chuckle. Billie is about to answer when Mr. Wilson interrupts her.

"Time's up! Hand in your work now, please."

"Ready to show Mr. Dick our penguin project?" Billie smirks.

"Totally", I chuckle before putting all the papers into a pile, handing it to the evil teacher.

"Hey, Ems. Is it okay if I eat with you today? I don't feel like spending another hour with the annoying girls like yesterday", Billie says when i'm about to leave the classroom. It makes me really happy, I don't know why. Ava and Liam have already eaten, so I would be all alone anyways.

"Yeah, of course. You don't have to ask that", I smile before going to the dining room with her.

Later

"She jumped on the roof of the tour bus? No fucking way", I say with my mouth filled with chicken.

"It's true! The security had to climb up as well just to get her down again", Billie says with a laugh. I feel okay right now. I haven't felt like this since forever so it's pretty new.

"I actually kind of like school. It's dope", Billie says before biting into her sandwich.

"I wish that I could relate. School sucks, man", I say.

"Well, we should switch lives. Tomorrow is my last school day", She says. Those words completely changes my mood. The only one who's able to make me smile is leaving tomorrow? Fuck this. I completely forgot about her leaving.

"Oh", I simply say, trying not to sound hurt.

"I'll miss you", Billie suddenly says, making me furrow my eyebrows while looking at her. Her eyes are beautiful, a mix between ice and an ocean. Why haven't I noticed that earlier? I try to figure out if she's meaning it or not. Something with her just makes me believe her.

"I'll miss you too", I finally say before smiling weakly.

"I will go to the party that your friend has tomorrow, though. Are you going to be there?" Billie asks. Now I remember, Julia is throwing a party tomorrow that I have completely forgot about.

"Wait, you're going to Julia's party?" I ask her, surprised.

"Yeah! My friend Kevin knows her. She seems pretty cool."

Wait, Kevin?

"Kevin? Kevin with the eyebrows?" I ask her, making Billie laugh.

"Yeah, Kevin with the eyebrows." She confirms. "Do you know him?"

"Well, I don't know him that well but whe met at John's party this sunday", I answer.

"Really? I was there, too!" Billie says, sounding really excited.

"No way, but yes, i'm going to Julia's party. I hope we meet there" I smile.

"We will, trust me" She smirks before taking another bite of her sandwich.

After eating, The girls surround Billie again, asking her tons of questions and I leave. It's way too awkward for me to stay. Suddenly, Liam approaches me.

"Hey, Em!" He exclaims.

"Sup Liam", I smirk.

"What happened yesterday? You just disappeared with Billie!" He asks. See? This is what I mean. I want to punch him in the face but instead I smile before answering.

"It was too loud in the classroom, everyone was talking so we worked outside. I got a headache and walked home after the class", I say, pouting.

"Shit, that sucks but i'm glad you're okay now", Liam smiles as we walk to the last class.

I sit sith Ava and Liam and work, but me and Billie look at each other from time to time. Everytime someone says something funny, we just look at each other and laughs.

We just finished our last class and I'm putting my stuff in my locker. Suddenly, Billie leans against the locker by my side, watching me up and down. When i'm done, she starts to talk.

"So you're going to be at Julia's tomorrow?" She asks.

"Yup", I answer, closing the door to my locker.

"I'll see you then," She says before pulling me into a hug. I hug her back and i'm not gonna lie, it feels pretty good. I don't even tense like I use to when people touch me, what is she doing to me? We pull away and she gives me a smirk before turning around. When she walks away, I keep my gaze on her until she disappears around the corner.

This party will be interesting.
