《SUNRISE ༘ bakugo katsuki》12

You and Jiro Kyoka were at the nearby cafe since the both of you were asked to buy drinks. You were honestly glad that Jiro wasn't that talkative - although she's friendly - so the silence was what you needed as of now.
"Ah, there's too many, it would really be tiresome to go back and forth." Jiro complains as yours and her hands were full and there were still 2 take-out cup-holders left.
"It's okay, I'll go back here." You said. "You sure?" She asked and you nodded.
"Oh? Isn't that L/N?"
You and Jiro turned your heads and saw Katsuki and Denki.
"Bakugo." You said. Katsuki's eyes landed on the two extra take-out cup-holders.
He wanted to speak up if you needed help but his pride was way bigger than that. Good thing that Denki noticed this also.
"Looks like you guys need a hand! We should help them!" Denki says to Katsuki.
"Whatever." Katsuki says and took the 2 take-out cup-holders and gave the other one to Denki.
"Are you sure? Didn't you just arrive here?" Jiro asked.
Denki waved his hands as the four of you exited the cafe. "Nah, we're good. We settled on getting water anyway since Katsuki's strict on his diet. Right, Katsuki?"
"Shut up." Katsuki retorted.
Denki laughed. "See?" He says whilst laughing and Jiro only got weirded out. The two of them were walking ahead now, talking among themselves as you purposely lagged behind to match Katsuki's pace.
"Hi, Bakugo." You greeted and gave him a side-glance. He looked grumpy as always.
Katsuki hummed as his way of greeting back.
"You and your friend didn't need to help us, you know. I can just go back to the cafe to get the remaining ones." You said.
"Just accept help when help is offered, dumbass." Katsuki grumbles.
"You always deny my offer to ride you home, Bakugo." You said, trying to make a connection with what he previously said.
His eyes widen a bit and he glares at you. "That's a different story!" He exclaims.
"And how is it different?" You challenged him.
He stays silent for a while.
How was he supposed to tell you that the only difference there is, is that you were the one that offered help?
"So, there's no difference?" You asked. "There is! Now stop asking me!" Katsuki said.
The four of you arrived in your department, opened the door and were greeted with the sound of small chatters, keyboard typings, and printers.

"They're back!"
"Oh? Who're these two good-looking fellows?"
"Hi! I'm Kaminari Denki! And this is Bakugo Katsuki, we're just here to help Jiro and L/N." Denki says and the four of you set the take-out cup-holders down on the main table.
"You look familiar... Ah! You immediately got famous together with that red-head friend of yours from the gym!" Kendo Itsuka says and Katsuki wore his signature 'what the fuck?' face.
"Huh?!" He says and you immediately put a hand on his shoulder.
"It's time for the both of you to go now. Our department's quite busy." You butted in.
"Let's go, Katsuki!" Denki says and waved bye to Jiro, who only flipped him off. He laughs. "Let's hang out sometime, 'kay?" He told Jiro.
On their way to the door, you grabbed your drink and was about to catch up to them when Jiro stopped you. "Here, give this to Kaminari, the dumb-looking one." Jiro said and you nodded.
You caught up to the two who were already standing opposite to the elevator.
"Bakugo." You called and stood in-front of him. You faced 'the dumb-looking' one first.
"Jiro gave this to you." You said and handed him the drink. He beams. "Sweet!"
"Here, take a break from your diet for today." You said and gave Katsuki your drink. "I'm not sure if we have the same tastes but I hope you'll like it." You said.
You slightly bowed. "Thank you for helping us, see you later." You said and immediately went back to work.
Denki lets out a little silly laugh. "How about you take a sip? You seem pretty surprised that he gave you one." He said.
"Shut up!" Katsuki said and took a big gulp in a rough manner. Not bad. Perhaps, it might even be his new favorite drink.
After knowing the drink you gave was what you bought regularly in that cafe, he unconsciously began thinking of what other things that you liked.
"There'll be a new joint project starting tomorrow. It's with the Shiketsu company. Heads of each department, please choose at most 5 people to let them in the project. Provide me a list later. We'll also be meeting them tomorrow so please come early."
You sat back down on your chair and began typing again. There was another project coming and the possibility of you being one of the 5 is pretty high. So, it's best to get the job done earlier, but you would've done this either way without the new project.

"L/N." Knew it. "I'll add you to the team, just letting you know." Ida Tenya says and you nodded, your eyes still glued to the screen.
The day finally came to an end, heading to the gym but just to see Katsuki. You were too tired, mentally tired, to even move a muscle.
Looks like they're closing. You entered the gym and saw Sekijiro. "L/N! You seem pretty tired, you should head home to take a rest."
"It's fine, I'm here for Bakugo." You said and looked for him.
"Ah, I see. Bakugo!" Sekijiro called and there he was, organizing with Kirishima. Katsuki saw you, eyes widening a little as he quickened his pace.
"Hurry up, shitty hair." Katsuki mutters to Kirishima.
After a while, you were walking to exit the gym together with Katsuki and Kirishima.
"Kirishima, how about I'll give you a ride home with Bakugo? It's getting pretty late." You said which earned a raised brow from Katsuki.
Katsuki may have felt annoyed with Kirishima before but this was Katsuki's first time that he wanted to push him away, out of extreme irritation.
Katsuki didn't like the idea of having another person around the two of you.
"Really? If it's fine with you!" Kirishima beams.
You mean if it's fine with me, idiot. Katsuki thought and he only realized that he sounded stupid as well for thinking that way, much more with what he's feeling.
Kirishima's place was a bit of a distance but you didn't mind, you promised him a ride home of course.
Katsuki decided to sit in the backseat with Kirishima because sitting beside you might give Kirishima 'wrong' ideas.
Kirishima was a friendly guy, conversing with you about work and whatnot, but you noticed how he avoided talking about anything that connects to Katsuki.
But that didn't last long and you were already growing near Kirishima's place.
"Man, being here feels like a third-wheel with a couple that fought." Kirishima said and laughed.
"Huh!?", "Third-wheel?"
Kirishima warily glances at you and Katsuki. He suddenly felt like he was threatened.
"Aren't you guys dating?" He asked.
Katsuki choked on his own words and saliva while you suddenly braked, causing your two passengers to hit their faces on the back of the driver's and passenger's seat.
Luckily, there were no cars following behind.
"I'm deeply sorry! Are the both of you hurt anywhere?" You asked and turned your upper body to face them.
"Watch the brakes, four eyes!" Katsuki complained.
"Yes, I'm sorry about that." You said.
Kirishima laughed. "Awe, come on! No need to be shy! I'm totally cool with it!" He says, confidently.
While it was kinda true about the dating part, only you knew about it. And of course, you wouldn't dare tell Katsuki about this. If he knew, he'd act all awkward around you and you wouldn't be able to have a proper conversation with him.
"We aren't dating, you shitty hair!" Katsuki exclaims, a tint of pink on his cheeks and visible embarrassment on his face.
Kirishima widens his eyes. "Wait, really?! No way!"
"What do you mean 'no way'?!" Katsuki raised his voice due to being flustered while you listened to them.
"You guys act all lovey-dovey around each other! I even waited long for you to break the news." Kirishima said.
Since when did we act all 'lovey-dovey'? Katsuki thought.
"There's probably a misunderstanding on your part, Kirishima." You butted in.
Kirishima awkwardly scratches the back of his head. "Yeah, sorry to make things awkward for you guys. Oh? Didn't notice we arrived." Kirishima said as he looked out of the window.
He lightly slapped Katsuki's back and then patted your shoulder. "Thanks for the ride, L/N!" He said and got out of the car.
You didn't move yet. Silence fell in the car and it was heavy.
"It's late." Katsuki mustered the courage to speak, but ended up mumbling and you checked the time.
"You're right. Let's head home." You unconsciously said, not knowing the weight of your words as you started backing the car.
Let's head home? This statement bothered Katsuki. You could've said 'you're right, let's get you home,' but no. The way you said it sounded like the two of you were heading home together, going to the same house.
Was this what Kirishima meant when he said we act all lovey-dovey? Katsuki thought.
Katsuki's heart was racing as he looked at your eyes through the rear-view mirror. Your eyes were solely focused on the road.
Katsuki began thinking of what it would be like to be living in the same house as you.

The Primordial
With one goal fueling him, he broke through the final barrier, reaching the apex of power and regaining that which was once lost. Trying to find a new beginning, he reforged himself anew as he awoke to memories of a long forgotten past. Memories that intersected with his new reality. His invincible soul now unchained, surprises await him as he begins his new jouney in an unknown land. I'm just writing this for fun, but i'll never drop it. This won't be something short, as I have the very long term in mind, but I'm a total noob to writing, so I most likely won't release chapters very often, at least until I really get the hang of it. But, the chapters will always be several thousand words long. At the minimum 2k, maximum like 6k... Pretty big variations, sorry. If you like it, great. If you don't, that's understandable. Regardless, if you have a read, I'd appreciate feedback for areas you think I should improve on, whether it's the use of some words or how I should write something or WHATEVER. I'm open to anything, good or bad, because with your help, it'll help make this story better. **DISCLAIMER** So you don't waste your time, I want to let you know what you're getting into, because I like knowing ahead of time before I read something. This might appear like a Xianxia novel, but it's not. It only starts that way. This is a western fantasy world and setting that many of you are familiar with. The beginning chapters might be a bit of an info dump. Some of it might seems superfluous, but a lot of information is relevant to the story. The first few chapters might also seem rushed, but I'll try to keep it exclusive to those. This is a cliche, OP MC story with the typical harem, but other than the quick start, everything else will be gradual. There will be romance, and probably many moments at that, but don't expect anything TOO detailed. If you want something really steamy, look elsewhere. References and throwbacks to stuff most likely. The setting won't be really dark or really light. Middleground, I guess. The MC is far from a young kid, but he won't totally reflect his age. I don't plan on discarding info, abilities or characters that you KNOW should come back and be around. I see it a lot and it sort of bugs me haha... but I could have oversights, I dunno. As I said, I'm a noob. That's it, really. If you're interested, welcome to my world!

Ruins of Dalághast

Within, though, they find much more than they ever expected and find themselves in a race against time to unravel a mystery centuries old. For those who want to see my work months earlier than it will be released here, alongside exclusive artwork and other perks, consider supporting me and my work on Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/atlaswrites
