"Impossible" Caius spat

Aro turned around to face the blonde king and glared at him.

"Do you think they fooled me brother?"

Rebekah, Edward, Renesmee and Emmett made there way back to our side whilst Jacob stayed and growled at the kings for a few seconds.

He then turned around and started walking back towards us.

"Bring the informer forward" Caius instructed.

The guards moved around to allow Irina to walk towards the kings. Kate and Tanya both tensed as Irina visibly became scared.

"Is that the child you saw?" Caius asked indicating to renesmee. Irina glanced towards her and sighed.

"I'm not sure" she shook her head.

"Jane"

Jane smirked and was about to use her gift on Irina but was interrupted.

"She's changed! This child is bigger" Irina protested.

"Then your allegations were false" Caius accused.

"The Cullens are innocent I take full responsibility for my mistake" Irina said looking towards Edward.

'I'm sorry' she mouthed.

The guards lit a fire and edwards eyes wend wide reading the kings mind.

"Caius no!" He protested as they ripped her limbs and set her body on fire.

"Irina!"

"No!"

The sisters started to run towards their sister but some of our witnesses managed to grab Tanya while I sped to Kate and grabbed her.

"Drea! Let me go!" She protested using her gift on me.

It hurt but I could handle it.

"Blind them!" Edward instructed zafrina.

"Give me my sight back!" Tanya told her.

Edward approached her and spoke softly.

"Tanya. This is what they want. If you attack now we'll all die."

The sisters both stopped struggling so zafrina gave them their sight back as we all let go of them.

"I'm sorry." Kate told me and I smiled at her.

"It's ok." I told her before walking back over to Rosalie. She immediately grabbed my hand and started checking me over for injuries making me smile softly at her.

"I'm fine love" I told her and she smiled at me.

Suddenly Edward cried out in pain falling to the ground as Jane used her gift on him, I locked eyes with one of the witnesses who had the gift of being a shield and nodded to him. He used his gift to block Jane and she huffed as Edward got up from the ground.

She tried to use it on someone else but it wouldn't work.

"It's working" Edward said surprised as the walking shield smiled.

Jane stepped forward threatingly as he smirked at her. Caius quickly stopped her from hurting anyone else by holding his hand out.

The wolves started growling at the volturi as Alec released his vapour. Before it could reach us aro stopped him making me smirk.

"Aro you see there's no law broken here" Carlisle said glaring slightly at the man.

"Agreed. But does it then follow that there is no danger. For the first time in our history humans pose a threat to our kind. This modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative. In such times only the known is safe only the known is tolerable. And we know nothing of what this child will become. Can we live with such uncertainty. Spare ourselves a fight today only to die tomorrow" Aro's speech sent the volturi's witnesses into panic as they began arguing amongst themselves.

I heard footsteps approaching in the distance and whipped my head around and saw Alice and Jasper, I smiled.

Aro gasped dramatically making me roll my eyes.

"Alice"

Alice looked over at us and nodded to Carlisle.

I knew they wouldn't just leave us, I still need to talk to that bitch about ruining my book.

They approached the volturi making some of the guards step forward and hold them from getting any closer.

"My dear. Dear Alice we're so glad to see you here after all" aro said grinning.

"I have evidence the child won't be a risk to our kind" Alice said struggling in the hold of the guards.

"Let me show you" she held out her hand for aro.

"Brother" Caius protested.

Aro signaled for the guards to let her go as she smugly pushed past them. I smirked slightly as Jasper got hit in the face for the guards amusement. It was kinda funny.

He growled at them and struggled in their hold. Aro grabbed Alice's hand as she showed him the future or something.

It must have been a long vision because everyone just stood in silence for 5 minutes, it was incredibly awkward.

Aro suddenly let go of Alice's hand looking shocked over at our side, his gaze lingering on myself and my family.

"Now you know. That's your future. Unless you decide on another course" Alice said somewhat threateningly making me wonder what she showed him.

I looked over at Edward who was holding Rebekah against his chest almost afraid making my furrow my brows. He shook his head at me slightly to say he wasn't going to tell me what happened making me huff.

"We cannot alter our course. The child still poses a grave threat." Caius said to aro.

"But what if you were sure she could remain concealed from the human world. Could we live in peace?" Edward asked.

"Of course. But that cannot be known" Caius protested.

"Actually it can" Edward stated just as I heard more footsteps approaching. I looked around till I saw two tanned skinned people in clothes way to skimpy for this weather.

They walked past us and towards the volturi.

Alice turned to aro.

"I've been searching for witnesses of my own among the ticuna tribes of brazil"

"We have enough witnesses" Caius spat making me glare at the man.

"Let him speak brother" aro said lightly holding his hand up.

"I am half human half vampire" the guy said. My eyes widened in shock, my family and I are the oldest vampires and we've never heard of this. I looked over at my brother Nik who was equally shocked.

"A vampire seduced my mother, who died giving birth to me my aunt Hullen raised me as her own. I made her immortal."

"How old are you?" I asked him.

He looked back at me.

"150" he responded and I smiled looking over at Edward who had a relived smile on his face. Nessie was going to live a very long time.

"At what age did you reach maturity?" Aro asked

"I became full-grown seven years after my birth. I have not changed since then" he responded and Edward smiled at renesmee in relief.

"And your diet?" Aro asked curiously.

"Blood and human food. I can survive on either." He replied.

"These children are much like us" my eyes widened in shock as it was the first time I had heard the other king speak. He looked sad, which made me feel kinda bad for him.

"Regardless the Cullens have been consorting with werewolves. Our natural enemies!" Caius spat trying to pick a fight, I really wanted to go over there and punch them.

Aro placed a hand on Caius' shoulder getting him to shut up.

"Dear ones" aro started turning to his coven.

"There is no danger here. We will not fight today." He continued and the rest of his coven and the witnesses all turned somewhat reluctantly and left.

Aro stayed for a few seconds looking back at Edward and Alice.

"Such a prize" he breathed out before speeding away.

"We have them on the run. Now is the time to attack" Vladimir yelled.

"Oh shut up. As much as I love a fight I'd rather not. I'm pregnant and my feet hurt" I told him glaring and he backed off slightly before walking over to pester Carlisle.

"Rosie! Emmy! My feet are hurting!" I pouted to them and they both laughed. Emmett then picked me up making me squeal.

"Come on princess let's get you back home" Rosie said kissing my cheek. I smiled softly at both of them as Emmett carried me back home.
