Sandy's pov

Ow my gosh! I can't believe I just said that, to the Elders.

They must think, I'm a love smitten fool!

If Jordan hadn't taken my hands in his at that very moment. I would have taken pleasure in face palming myself.

"Why are you embarrassed, by your show of affection." He questioned, he looked completely bewildered by my embarrassment.

That's only because, he has never done anything humiliating. He is always so sure of himself, self-assured that whatever he says or does is the law.

I on the other am nothing more then a preschool teacher.

"His the perfect one here, in this relationship"

Only when I heard Jordan question me, did I realise that I had spoken out loud.

"What are you talking about spitfire, have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? "

"I have no idea what you are talking about" I said trying to bluff him into changing the subject.

When I realised that he was still determined to talk, I tried to pull away. All of this was in vain though. He was after thrice my size.

"Why would you think, you are anything but perfect? You are gorgeous and I'm not just saying this because you are my mate. Your physical attributes are breathe taking, but what I love the most about you is that your honest, kind, caring, strong, determined and very persistent. I love how every day i discover another facet of you. This all makes you fascinating to me. I also happen to love how unguarded you are."

What else can you expect a girl to do, after her man says this to her. I let loose the waterworks.

I placed my hands on his face and pulled him down, so that I could kiss him. I had to go on my tippy toes to come close to reaching him though, once we were both breathless I pulled away. And breathlessly declared my love to him again.

"I love you, I just thought you would be embarrassed by my outburst"

"Never..." he whispered, then picked me up.

I let out a sharp gasp, shocked by the sudden movement. I wrapped my legs around his waist and intertwined my fingers around his neck. I pecked his nose, while he led us to the living room.

The pack house was silent as it was past 11pm, and it was a school night. I had managed to tuck Luke in bed just before the Elders left.

Jordan sat down on the couch with me straddled on his lap, facing him. I snuggled closer to him, loving the comfortable silence. I don't know how long we just sat there, and listened to each others heart beat.

"Babe, there are some things that we need to talk about." I heard Jordan say.

"Mmmh" I mumbled, half asleep.

"Wake up Angel, it's important"

I pulled away and looked him, he looked so conflicted. My natural instincts, made me reach out and give him a light peck on his lips, for reassurance.

"Okay, I'm listening" I said

"There isn't an easy way to say this, the Elders want me to claim the throne."

I'm not going to lie, I was momentarily taken aback. I wasn't sure of what to make of this new revelation. Part of me wished it was just a joke, but for as long as I've known Jordan, he hasn't once joked or even attempted to make one.

"Say something spitfire..."

"What do you want me to say Jordan? "

"I don't know tell me how you feel, what do you want me to do? "

I didn't even know how it was possible for him to take the throne. Don't you have to be a prince first? Jordan had never mentioned being a prince before, let alone a king.

My head was spinning, with unanswered questions.

Stop being a drama queen. I mentally chided myself.

WAIT! won't that mean, I'll become Queen!

I could fell myself start to hyperventilate, Jordan must have realised this cause he started to rub my mark. Something we had discovered is the only thing that will calm me down, stopping any faint spells.

"Thank you" I whispered hoarsely, once I had regained my breath.

The only sucky part about the mark, is that it only lying works with Jordan. Nobody else.

"Pleasure, now what caused that episode?"

I inhaled then exhaled, " I just realised that if you become king, then I'll become Queen"

"And that scares you?" He questioned, I could tell that he was really worried about my reaction. He was being so careful with me, a part of me know we that he would make a great king.

I'm just not sure that I'll make a great Queen.

"Sort of, I'm not so sure that I'll do well being responsible of all Wolves including the Alphas."

Then I heard something I didn't expect to hear. I heard Jordan laugh. I tilted my head to one side, with my one eyebrow raised in question.

"Babe I'm the most feared Alpha out there, and you managed to put me firmly in my place. If that doesn't make you a great Queen, I don't know what else would. Yet you are telling me that your, afraid of Alphas less threatening then me?"

"That's different" I tried to reason, " your a big teddy bear"

He snorted, "I'm not a teddy bear... I'm a grizzly bear"

I let out a laugh and agreed, " yes your my grizzly bear"
