《Dating my senior-Kareena》13

Haseena was in Karishma's house for some work. But she couldn't concentrate in her work as Karishma had invited Kiara over. Arthi wasn't here as she had gone to her relative's place for some reason. Haseena tried to shrug off her anxiety over the introduction of a new member. She continuosly told herself to not be insecure and that Kiara was just a friend. Even Karishma was talking of Kiara more than helping her in the works.
When Karishma finally started working, Haseena couldn't take her eyes off the girl sitting right beside her. The way she worked, the way her hair bounced against her soft skin, the way she laughed and smiled in between made Haseena's heart flutter. ♥️
All that she had done for this girl, all the time they had spent together bulding trust, roamed in her mind. And Haseena was hoping for something bad.
Haseena (in her mind)- Hame itna negative nahi hona chahiye..ek dost hi toh hain..Ham itna pareshan kyu ho rahe hai?
She consoled herself and tried to focus on the files before her but her eyes always travelled to someone else. When Karishma caught her eyes, she blushed and smiled, making Haseena's heart swell. All this was disturbed when the doorbell rang.
Karishma- Lagta hai Kiara aagayi!
The excitement in her voice, made Haseena's heart sink deep down.
Karishma opened the door and was immediatly hugged by an over excited Kiara.
Kiara- Hiiiiiiii!!!!! Omg..omg..maine tujhe kitna miss kiya..
She pulled back and looked at Karishma from head to toe.
Kiara- wow yaar. Tu toh bilkul bhi nahi badli..poori fit and fine like wine hai..bilkul college days ki tarah.
Karishma (blushing)- arey nahi yaar. Tu bhi toh nahi badli. Ulta pehle sey zyada khubsurat lag rahi hai.
She didn't know that it pierced someone's heart.
Kiara- Aur kya? Andar nahi bulayegi?
Karishma- Kyun nahi? Aaja..
Haseena tried to not be awkward and show her disagreement on Kiara's presence.

Kiara looked at Karishma as to know about the stranger that was standing.
Karishma- hann..aao tumhe milwate hain kisise. Yeh Haseena madam hai..Hamari bohot khaas dost.
Haseena (in mind)- Sirf dost?
But she smiled a little and forwarded her hand for a formal handshake. Kiara smiled and shook her hand.
Karishma- aur aapko toh Kiara ke baare me bataya hi tha..
Kiara- Tu kaam kar rahi thi? Arey toh phir toh maine disturb kar diya hoga na sorry..mai baad me aajaungi..
She was about to go when Karishma held her wrist.
Karishma- Koi zaruri kaam nahi hai..kaam ruk sakta hai par tu kahi nahi jaa rahi. Samjhi?
Haseena's patience was over. She couldn't see Karishma clinging onto someone like this.
Haseena (irritated)- kya zaruri kaam nahi hai Karishma Singh? Yeh case report sabse zyada important hai aur aaj hi chahiye hame.
Karishma (surprised)- Haan madam sir kar denge. Itni jaldi bhi kaa hai. Aap jaanti toh hai ham Kiara ka kabse intezaar kar rahe the. Ab yeh aayi hi hai toh 10 minute baat toh kar lete hain..
Kiara- Of course. What else! Chal mai tujhe bohot saari baatein batana chahti hu..
Kiara held Karishma's wrist and was taking her away.
Haseena couldn't stand it. Her jealousy overpowered everything and she too held Karishma's other wrist.
Both the other ladies looked at her in shock.
Haseena- Kaam zyada zaruri hai. Aapko pehle yeh khatam karna hai. Karishma. Singh.
She emphasized on the last two words. Not even one day and she was already insecure of Kiara. She couldn't help it. Karishma was the only one she was this close to. If she too left her, she wouldn't be able to stand it. Of course it was her overthinking but she was sad right now.
Karishma released Kiara's hand which made Haseena's heart a little light. She walked upto Haseena and placed her hands on top of hers.
Karishma (smiling)- Ham aa jayenge. 10 minute dijiye..ham Kiara ko settle karke jaldi aajayenge.

Haseena couldn't say no to her. She couldn't let that smile fade away so she nodded.
Kiara and Karishma walked away inside Karishma's room. It pained Haseena seeing the scene. She slumped on the sofa and started shuffling through files.
Haseena (in mind)- Woh sirf ek dost hi hain. KARISHMA hame kabhi nahi bhulengi. Woh hame pasand karti hain..hame itna insecure nahi hona chahiye. Cool down Haseena. Cool down.
She took deep breaths and released the frustration.
But 10 minutes turned to 15 and 20 and then 25. Karishma wasn't coming out. The calm and cool Haseena turned to the nervous and anxious one again.
Haseena - Kya hame andar jaana chahiye? Nahi nahi..thora aur wait karlein? Lekin unko gaye huye kaafi time ho gaya hai..kya karein? Haan jaa hi lete hain. Keh denge kaam baaki hai..
She got up and moved towards Karishma's room. Hoping she doesn't have to face the worst. She knocked on her door. Haseena's stomach churned and she had a bad feeling. Nobody opened the door and neither replied. She knocked 3 to 4 times but nobody opened it. Finally she tried to push it open and faced her biggest fear.
The room was cool probably because of the AC. There she was. Karishma sleeping on the bed with Kiara beside her. It seemed both of them were tired. What hurt Haseena the most was Kiara had placed a hand around Karishma's shoulder. The scene left her broken and without making any noise she came out of the room, closed the door and came to the living room.
She picked up the papers and left Karishma's house with a blank expression on her face.
*********
Haseena thought to ignore the scene which happened a few days ago in Karishma's house. She used to come to the Mahila thaana and also see Karishma. Karishma behaved as nothing happened and didn't even ask about why Haseena had left her house. Hurt and broken, Haseena tried to ignore Karishma at her best but she couldn't. Probably it was her live that stopped her from doing something like this.
Haseena too behaved as if nothing happened. Once Karishma had spent the entire evening with Haseena, so she thought things were becoming better now. But after that day, the calls exchanged between the two lessened, their meetings lessened.
Karishma started to spend more time with Kiara now. But she had no idea that it distanced her from Haseena. She thought everything was going well between her and Haseena. But little did she know.
Haseena grew more and more insecure over the days. She was really furious one day when Karishma casually rejected her offer a date.
"Ham itne paraye ho gaye aapke liye?" Haseena thought and cried to herself. She was done with the pain of loss. She couldn't bear it anymore. Every damn time she saw Kiara and her together, nail pierced through her heart. Enough of it. She declared one day.
Haseena was sitting in her cabin, in her thaana and was going through her and her date's photos.
Haseena (angry but really sad)- Ham nahi jaante the cheeze aisi ho jayengi hamare beech. Hame laga tha pyaar perfect hota hai. Lekin ham galat the. Hame laga tha aap hamse pyaar karti hain..magar shayad ham galat the. Koi baat nahi.. aapko accha nahi lag raha toh hame bhi koi interest nahi hai iss relationship me. Ham hi khatam kar denge iss relationship ko..
She took out her phone and called Karishma.
Karishma- Boliye...
Haseena- hame aapse milna hai..4 quarters ke paas ek jheel hai..wahin..abhi..
Karishma- Lekin..
Haseena- Agar apne kabhi bhi hame apna maana hai toh aap aayengi wahan.
She hung up before Karishma could reply anything. Wiping a tear that flowed down her cheek she made her way towards the lake.

The Electric Messiah
Volume Two of the Ontogeny series. A time of unprecedented crisis has come. During a mission to the edge of the known world, Brigadier Weyland James discovered that humanity faces a threat so terrible that the sane mind can barely conceive it. Failure to meet this threat would mean the end of human civilisation, mankind thrown back to a life of wandering savagery, easy prey for the true masters of the planet who see humans as mere animals, theirs to use and exploit as they see fit.Hope exists, if all mankind can unite, putting aside their petty differences for the greater good, but the truth is so unbelievable that the Brigadier faces an almost impossible task in convincing the leaders of the human world. His task is made even harder by the fact that several governments have been infiltrated by agents of the enemy, who are using their influence to sow seeds of war and chaos. The Brigadier is not mankind's only hope, though. In Helberion, a small group of scientists, struggling to make a major scientific breakthrough, is being hampered by assassination and sabotage. Is this the work of the enemy of mankind? King Leothan hopes it is, because it would mean that the enemy fears this new science, that it could be used to create a powerful weapon against them. A weapon that could be the Saviour of Mankind. The Electric Messiah... This is the sequel to Ontogeny. If you haven't read that book yet you must read it before you read this book.

Force Majeure: A web novel
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the city press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with essence to power the city in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. Please note this is an edited version of my story ‘city of captives’. It follows a similar structure but I’ve ironed out some of the kinks. If you read that version, much of this will be similar though there are some differences. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! If you enjoy this, consider following me on Instagram by just searching Crow J Williams.
