"Seriously though, what are you?" You pulled up Jacks sleeve and examined his arm.
"Don't touch me" He growled and shook his sleeve back down.
"Okay, but I want some answers" You took out a piece of paper and a pencil from your pocket.
"Why can't you go bug BEN?" He sighed.
"Cause he's just a ghost" You shrugged.
"you're just a human" BEN loudly whispered, you stuck your tongue out at him.
"Aaanyway, firstly, what are you?" You turned your attention back to Jack.
"Human" He bluntly said, you snorted.
"Sorry, but I find that hard to believe" You said.
He glared at you.
"I-I mean your physic is human but you have black blood, your skin is grey, do I even need to mention your eyes, I suppose the pointed ears and sharp teeth could be explained with body modification..." You heard a low growl and decided to drop the subject.
"I'll just put a question mark there" You marked the paper.
"What does your main diet consist of?"
"Meat, preferably kidneys" He said.
"Okay, any preferred animal?"
"Humans"
"Ah...oh, you're cannibalistic..." You inched back when he smiled at you.
"Uh-hum last question: is there anyone else with your...affliction?" You pointed at his eye holes.
He paused and his smile faltered.
"No" He answered quickly.
"Oh come on E.J, don't you want to tell her about me?" A female voice said.
"No, no I don't" He looked behind you.
You whirled around to see a red haired girl bearing hatchets, bangs covered her eyes and black ooze dripped down her chin.
"Oh come on!" You thought as you started walking backwards to the kitchen.
"Wait...why isn't she moving?" You stopped and stared at her, she was currently focusing on a wall.

"Come on! Aren't you gonna do something!?" Her head snapped towards you.
"Smart one!" You mentally kicked yourself.
*Symbol POV*
"Found you" You thought.
"What's wrong!? Scared to face me!?" She yelled.
"HA! SCARED!? OF YOU!? HAHAHAH!" You laughed at her words.
"I murder on a daily basis and you expect ME to fear YOU? How stupid can one be?"
"Well I did manage to immobilize everyone who's come to kill me..." She said.
"Oooo I'm soooo impressed" You tucked your hatchets under your arms and clapped.
"...was that sarcasm?"
"Nooo, of course not" You adjusted your headset.
"...are you mocking me?"
"Maybe a little" You said and dropped your hatchets back into your hands.
You heard her take a step.
"All this chit-chat is very amusing but could we do something a bit more entertaining?" You advanced on her and swung your weapons, one chopping into the wall. She screamed and ran away, you yanked the hatchet out of the wall and raced after her, picking up on every movement she made.
Something hard hit you in the shin.
"OW! YOU LITTLE BITCH" You continued to chase her, limping slightly.
She stopped running.
"Now's my chance" You raised your weapons when you heard a click.
"A gun?!" You stopped and lowered your arms.
"Give me your weapons" She ordered.
"Are you joking-" She fired the gun and small bits of ceiling landed in your hair.
"I'll say it again: give me your weapons, o-or I'll be forced to shoot you" She said.
"You don't have the gull to shoot me" You heard the click again.
"One..." She started counting down.
"How childish" You crossed your arms.
"Two..."
"S-she wouldn't" Dark thoughts creeped into your mind.
"Th-"

"Alright fine!" You stopped her and tossed one of your hatchets at her feet.
"...and the other one"
You focused and threw it at her. She yelped and you heard the small axe thump into the wall.
"Ow! you better hope that doesn't scar" She smacked the back of your head with something and you lost all sense.
"S....u're..ot.rela..d?" Your hearing was fuzzy and you only caught scraps of what someone was saying.
Someone was touching around your ears.
"...what?" You shook your head and immediately regretted it when splitting pain ran from ear to ear.
"Don't do that" A girl said.
"Why not?"
"Cause your ears are bleeding" She said.
"WHAT!?" You shrieked.
"That's what you get when you act like a bitch"
"Get away!" You kicked your feet.
"Fine, frankly I don't want to be around you anyway" She said, you heard her footsteps as she walked away.

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.
