"This is the woman's wing." Steve said as we walk down the abandoned hallway. There were old wheelchairs and hospital beds left in the rooms and scattered throughout the hallway.
"Woman used to be mistreated to the point where they would grow violent. So be careful in this wing, especially you ladies." Steve said and pointed at Daisy and I.
"They did lobotomy's in here right?" I asked and looked around, taking in my surroundings while it was light in here. "Yeah, they did those not only in the surgical wings but in these rooms right here." He explained as Sam walked towards one of the rooms.
"It's crazy how much furniture was left over. It's almost like everyone just got up and left." Sam said as he brushed his hand along one of the wheelchairs.
"Yeah, it's hard to wrap your head around." Colby said as Daisy stayed close to him, biting her lip. "You okay, Dais?" I asked as she nodded slowly then turned her face away from me.
We walked around the rest of the asylum, taking notes of everything Steve was saying. I was definitely feeling the heavy air around me thicken as we made our way back to the entrance of the building.
It felt like no matter where you went there were eyes on you.
It was eerie.
"Alright, do you guys want to film the intro the video then head to the hotel?" Sam asked as I smiled, "sounds good to me." I said as Daisy nodded, "Yep." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
I knew she was pissed about something but I couldn't exactly pin what it was.
The guys set up the camera then looked at us, "ready?" Colby asked as I nodded, "ready." I said and rubbed my hands together in anticipation.
"What's up guys! It's Sam and Colby. Today we are joined with our wonderful contest winner, Violet and her friend Daisy!" Colby said as we smiled and waved to the camera.
"We just took a tour of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, and these girls were barely even phased. Have you guys ever done any paranormal investigations?" Sam asked as I shook my head, I opened my mouth to talk but Daisy interupted me.
"Yeah! We do this stuff all the time!" She said happily as I looked at her with confusion.

Why would she lie?
"Honestly you guys seem more professional at this than us." Colby said and looked at me. I just shrugged, "we're really into paranormal stuff." I said as Sam grinned at the camera.
"We're really excited to get started on this investigation, and we hope you guys like the video." Sam said then turned to Colby.
They continued with the intro as I zoned out, feeling guilty that Daisy was upset. I didn't like seeing her upset, especially when she was supposed to be having a good time.
I just wanted her to be happy.
As soon as we finished the intro the guys started filming b roll and taking shots in front of the building.
"Are you okay?" I asked Daisy as she watched the guys. "We'll talk about it later." She said as I frowned, "Okay...but like..are you okay?" I asked she snapped her gaze to me. "We'll talk about it later." She said harshly then walked away.
I felt my heart ache in my chest as I watched her storm off. Did I do something? I thought she would be having fun on this trip, but instead she was just angry.
I stood off to the side by myself for a while, just scrolling through my phone. The only person who texted me was Jarrod, which wasn't a surprise.
I sighed then locked my phone, before putting it in my pocket.
"Ready to go to the hotel?" Sam asked as he came up to me. "Yep! Thanks again for all of this. It's really exciting." I said with a grin as he nodded. "I'm just excited that you're as into this as you are. We were nervous we would pick someone who was going to be too afraid to do anything." He said as I laughed.
"Well count me in to do anything. I'm not really that scared." I said as he chuckled, "well we'll see how you feel when we get in there at night." He said as I nodded. "That's very true, I might be scared when it's dark." I said as the Uber pulled up.
We said goodbye to Steve then grabbed our stuff and got in the car.
Luckily the hotel wasn't too far away so we were there before we knew it. Daisy was still huffing about whatever she was angry about so the car ride was silent.

When we got inside Sam went to the front desk as Daisy started talking to Colby again. I watched her manorisms carefully, trying to figure out what her problem was.
She just smiled up at Colby with twinkles in her eyes as she twirled her hair subtly. She wasn't mad at him, which meant she was definitely mad at me.
"Alright, you girls are in room 412 and we are in 407." Sam said and handed me our room keys, after we went upstairs. "Perfect, what time do you want us downstairs tomorrow?" I asked as Sam laughed, "Well we don't have to film until late afternoon so just stop by our room anytime after noon. " He asked as I nodded.
"Sounds good. We'll see you tomorrow." I said and grabbed my bag. "See you tomorrow." Sam said and opened his arms to hug me. I smiled and stepped into his embrace then turned to Colby. "See you tomorrow." He said then hugged me. I smiled at him then turned with my bag on my shoulder.
Daisy walked to the room and went in before me, causing me to frown. I tried to not let it show since Sam and Colby were both still standing there. I let out a small breath and unlocked the door myself before walking into the room.
"Alright, what the hell Vi!?" Daisy said as soon as the door closed. "What did I do?" I asked as I put my bag on the floor. "You're totally all over Colby! You know I like him, Vi. Girl code!" She said as I scrunched my brow at her.
"Literally what are you talking about?" I asked feeling the confusion start to set it. "You're all over him! I see the way you're looking at him." Daisy huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Dais, I've said like 10 words total to the guy...I've intentionally let you be around him so you could talk to him more." I defended as she rolled her eyes. "You LET me?! God, you're so selfish sometimes." She said as I shook my head.
"Daisy, what is wrong with you? I just meant I was leaving him alone so you could talk to him." I said feeling frustrated.
"Oh, so you think that if you didn't leave him alone he would fall in love with you? Is that what it is? Well news flash! He wouldn't!" She said as I scrunched my brow at her. "I don't want him to fall in love with me! What are you on about?" I asked as she groaned and rolled her eyes.
"I see the way you look at him!" She yelled as I groaned and brought my hands to my head. "I'm not looking at him any differently than I look at anyone else!" I yelled back.
"You think you're better than me, don't you?" She asked as I shook my head, "Daisy. What the hell!?" I asked genuinely feeling confused as to why she's getting so upset with me.
"You think just because you're prettier than me, you can just steal the guy I have a crush on?" She asked as my jaw dropped. "I'm not trying to steal him! And I don't think I'm prettier than you. Honestly you're acting crazy right now." I said as she rolled her eyes.
"Oh I'm crazy?! You're the one who had to be locked away in the looney bin because you couldn't handle your parents dying!" She screamed which caused my heart to break. I could tell she regretted saying it because her eyes widened as I turned towards the door and walked into the hallway.
"V, I didn't mean-" She started but was cut off by the door closing behind me.
I walked down the hallway as tears streamed down my cheeks.
I rarely cried, but when I thought about that time of my life I couldn't help but get emotional.
When the elevator doors opened I went in, hoping nobody else would join me. Luckily nobody came on because I just started sobbing in my hands, not being able to hold in the tears anymore.
I tried to pull myself together as the elevator took me to the lobby, but my heart felt like it was put in a meat grinder.
As soon as the doors opened I saw Colby standing in front of me holding a bag of Doritos and a Bang energy drink.
When his eyes met mine, his brows scrunched with concern.
"Violet?" He asked quietly as tears streamed down my cheeks.
