The room was spinning by the time I had downed almost the entire bottle of vodka, but I didn't care.
The pain had melted away for the time being.
I heard my phone ringing then stumbled over to answer it. "Hello?" I mumbled into the phone and laid back down on the ground. "Vi?" Colby asked as I gasped, "COLLLLLLLBY." I giggled out then hiccuped.
"Are you drunk?" Colby asked as I snorted, "yep." I said then took another sip of vodka. "You're not supposed to be drinking on that medication, Vi! You know that." He said as I giggled, "Don't care. Too drunk." I said and closed my eyes as the room spun.
"Did something happen with Daisy?" He asked as I felt a pain in my heart. "She's a bitch." I mumbled then took another sip of the vodka.
I felt like I was going to be sick but I didn't care. I still hadn't forgotten what she did.
"Tell me what happened, V." He said quietly as I started to cry. "I don't wanna talk about it." I wimpered then brought the bottle of vodka to my lips only to gag at the smell.
"We can talk about it later, that's fine..are you being safe? How much have you drank?" He asked as I groaned and looked at the bottle, "Vodka." I mumbled as the room spun.
"Okay, but how much?" He asked as I giggled, "almost a whole bottle." I said then tossed the bottle to the side causing it to shatter.
"Jesus, Vi." Colby breathed out as I giggled again, "are you gonna punish me?" I asked and pouted my lip as Colby laughed on the other end.
"No, I'm not going to do that. Why don't you try to take a nap?" He asked as I nodded. "Nap sounds good. I can't sleep in my bed though." I said and covered my face with my hands.
"Why not?" Colby asked as I let my head roll to the side so I could look at the shattered vodka bottle next to me.
"The bitch ruined it." I mumbled and closed my eyes. "She ruined your bed?" He asked as I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Vi?" He asked after a second. "I'm gonna go." I mumbled then looked at the ceiling again as it started spinning.
"Are you gonna be okay? Is Daisy there? Or do you need to call someone? I'm worried about you." Colby said as I giggled. "I'm fine, Daisy's gone. I'm drunk. Life is good." I said then hiccuped.

"I think you should call a friend over, Vi. Are your stitches still in tact?" Colby asked worriedly as I sat up slowly, only to see blood on my shirt. "You worry too much, ya goober. I can't even feel a thing." I said with a laugh as he sighed.
"Okay...I'm trusting you on this. Please be safe and call me if you can remember to." He said as I tried to stand up but wobbled into the wall, slamming my body against it. "Okay, I love youuuuuuu." I slurred out as I pressed my face against the cold wall.
"I love you too, get some sleep, V." He said as I stumbled towards the couch. Luckily Daisy didn't destroy or take any of the living room furniture so I could at least sleep somewhere.
I hung up the phone then checked my texts.
I giggled and hiccuped then laid my head back onto the couch as the world spun around me. I thought drinking would help me get through the pain I had been feeling but really it just made my head swimmy.
I was fading in and out of consciousness until I heard someone knock on the door. "Coming!" I slurred as I got up and stumbled to the door.
"Jarrod!" I yelled and threw my arms around him as he cringed, "Vi, you reek. How much did you drink? And why are you bleeding?" He said as I shrugged and stumbled slightly.
"Dunno." I said with a shrug as he guided me back to the couch. "Why don't you lay down? I'll get you some water." He said and gently pushed me so I would be laying down.
"How'd you get here? Did Colby send you?" I asked with a giggle as I tried to get up. "You texted me, V. Who's Colby?" He asked and gently pushed me back down then walked towards the kitchen.
"The hottest person alive." I said and chewed my lip thinking about him. I started to think about his smile, and how it would take up half of his face.
I thought about how soft his hands were and how plump his lips were. I thought about every detail, begging my brain to remind me of how he smelled.
I missed him.
"Is he your boyfriend?" Jarrod asked as I shrugged. "We love eachother, but he lives so far away." I said as he brought the glass of water to my lips, forcing me to drink it.

"He's the guy you were with in Daisy's story right?" He asked as I nodded. "I miss him, J." I said and leaned my head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, V." He said and brushed my hair down in an attempt to comfort me.
"Is that why you're drinking?" He asked as I shook my head. "Sorta...I'm tired." I said and closed my eyes, but the room was still spinning, causing me to feel sick again.
"Let's get you cleaned up first." He said then got up and went to the bathroom to grab something. He came back a few minutes later with a wet washcloth.
"So what happened?" He asked as he tried to clean up the dried blood that was crusted on my stomach. "A ghost cut me open." I said with a giggle, thinking about how crazy that was.
"Riiiight. What really happened?" Jarrod asked as I giggled again. "A ghost did it." I slurred then leaned on his shoulder again as he attempted to clean me up.
"Alright, V. Maybe you should get some rest." Jarrod said as I nodded and laid back. "Okay, Colby." I mumbled as the room spun.
"Not Colby, Jarrod." He corrected and pulled a blanket over my body. "Sorry." I mumbled then leaned back again.
I eventually did fall asleep, but it didn't last long. I woke up to myself throwing up, but luckily Jarrod was prepared for this since he was already holding a bucket in front of me.
I couldn't even open my eyes I felt so sick, "ew." I mumbled as he handed me a towel to wipe my mouth with. "Feel better?" Jarrod asked as I shook my head.
"No." I said as the room spun again. "Sorry." I mumbled then grabbed the bucket and threw up again. "It's okay, V. I'm here for you." Jarrod said and pulled me into his chest as I started to cry.
My mind was still swimmy as I cried, but I could feel the pain slowly creeping back into my chest. "I need more vodka." I mumbled as Jarrod shook his head. "No. You don't." He said and hugged me close.
"I need to forget." I slurred then got up so I could find more alcohol or maybe some weed or something. "V, stop." Jarrod said as I stumbled, almost falling to the ground.
Jarrod grabbed me around my waist and spun so I was facing him. When I looked at him in the face though all I could see was Colby. I could see his blue eyes swimming with concern as his big plump lips were formed into a small frown.
"You're hot." I giggled out and booped his nose as he leaned down to kiss me. I melted into it as he wrapped his arms around me.
I missed his kisses so much.
"I knew you always wanted me." Jarrod said as I gasped and brought my hand to my lips. "N-no." I mumbled as he leaned in and kissed me again. I tried to push him away but I was too weak.
"No." I said against his lips as I kept them stiff, not wanting to kiss back. "What?" He asked as he pulled away.
"I don't want to kiss you." I said quietly as he frowned, "you kissed me first..." Jarrod said as I brought my hand to my lips.
"I thought you were Colby." I said and flinched expecting him to get angry with me.
"You what?" He asked as the room spun again. "I thought you were Colby, I'm sorry." I whispered as he let go of me. "So you don't want me?" He asked as I frowned. "I'm too drunk for this conversation." I mumbled and stumbled away from him but he grabbed my wrist.
"Stop. You're scaring me." I said as he looked me in the eye. "Don't be scared, Vi. I understand, I just don't want you to get hurt. Lay down and I'll get you some more water, okay?" He asked and led me to the couch as I nodded and laid down.
Jarrod pulled the blanket back over me and brought me some more water. "Go back to sleep, V. I'm gonna take care of you." He said as I smiled. "You're a good friend. I'm sorry for kissing you." I mumbled as he smoothed my hair down.
"Don't worry about it. Get some rest." He said as I nodded and fell asleep again.
I just wish the pain would go away.
