"BRUVAS!" Corey yelled as he and Jake came into the kitchen. "What's up bruv?" Sam asked as we finished cleaning up. "Are we doing the exploring, hunting ghosts thing tonight?" He asked and grabbed a tortilla.
"Yeah, we're all gonna go." Colby said and gestured to all of us. "Wait, Violet is coming?" Jake asked as I nodded. "Yep, I'm coming." I said with a smile and put the dishes away. "Bad ass dude!" Jake said with a grin as I smiled. "When are we leaving?" I asked and looked at the time as I walked over to sit in Colby's lap.
"Uhhh..20 minutes?" Sam asked as I nodded. "Sounds good." I said then grabbed my phone and pulled up google. "What's this place called?" I asked as Colby rested his chin on my shoulder. "It doesn't really have a name but here's the message one of the fans sent about it." Sam said and handed me his phone.
"I think it's cute that you want to research it before we go." Colby said then kissed my shoulder. "It's important to know where we are going...we don't want any surprises." I said as I read the email the guys had gotten.
"This place seems difficult to find." I said as I read the complex instructions. "Yeah, I printed out a map and took a screenshot of the instructions so we shouldn't have a problem." Sam said as I nodded and handed his phone back to him.
"So should I just film you guys..or..will you edit me out of the video?" I asked and stood up so we could go get ready. "You don't want to be on camera?" Colby asked as we walked to my room.
"I don't think it would be a good idea." I said and sifted through my closet. The girls had given me clothes that they didn't wear anymore since I didn't have any clothes before, so now my closet was full.
I still chose to wear Colby's sweatshirts though, since it felt like a big hug.
"You're probably right...I'm so sorry about all the hate you've been getting. I wish I could make them stop." Colby said as I pulled the hoodie over my head. "It's okay, they can say what they want." I said then walked out of the room so we could go up to Colby's room.
"I just don't know how we are gonna keep you a secret..we film all the time." Colby said as we walked up to his room. "I mean it's up to you if you want to explain why I'm here. It's not my career." I said and sat on the couch in his room.

"It's not that simple. I can't have you getting hurt because of this...we'll just edit you out for now and just have our friends do the same until we find a way to do this smoothly." He said as I nodded and saluted at him. "Yes, sir." I said and crossed my legs as he chuckled and walked into his closet.
As soon as we were all ready we made our way to the car. Sam and Colby sat in the front while Jake, Corey, and I sat in the back.
We listened to music and just laughed the whole way, trying to keep the vibes as positive as we could. Jake and Corey were actually hilarious, which is something I wasn't expecting. For some reason I thought they were going to be super serious about this, but Jake was just making fart jokes the entire away and Corey was screaming in a British accent.
We eventually pulled up to a small dirt lot that was surrounded trees.
"Hey, Vi...uh...do you mind waiting outside of the car so we can film an intro real quick?" Sam asked as I nodded. "Don't you think that's a little dangerous?" Colby asked as I shook my head, "I'll be fine, just don't take too long." I said then gestured for Corey to get out so I could get out.
I closed the door and took a few steps away from the car. Luckily the dirt lot was lit pretty decently so I didn't have to worry about someone sneaking up on me. I did have to admit though it was a little creepy.
I decided to just look up at the sky though as they filmed their intro. The stars weren't nearly as pretty as they should be, LA smog really ruined the view which made me sad.
I huffed then kicked a pebble across the parking lot, waiting patiently for the guys to finish up.
After a couple minutes the guys finally got out of the car. "Alright, are you ready to do this?" Sam asked as Colby set the camera up to start filming. "Yeah, I'm ready." I said with a smiled as I reached for Colby's hand.
Colby was filming first so I just stayed by him and made sure I didn't talk or react to any of the guys.
"So the first step is to walk down the trail until we get to the red rock." Sam said as he looked at his phone. "Red rock? Like as in its red...with blood?" Jake asked as Sam chuckled, "no, it's made of red clay apparently." He said as we walked down the trail.

As we walked the guys would make comments and jokes while Colby filmed. Sam also explained the history of the house we were going to as best as he could. I nudged Colby's arm and pointed to the red rock that Sam, Jake, and Corey were about to pass.
"Hey guys! Look." Colby said then leaned over and kissed my head almost as if he was saying thank you. "Oh shit, we almost missed it." Sam said as he pulled his phone out again.
"Okay now we have to go off the trail...but we have to go south of the red rock." Sam said as Jake and Corey looked around. "So this way right?" Corey asked and pointed in a random direction.
I looked up at the sky and found the North Star then nudged Colby again, pointing in the right direction. He smiled at me then caught Sam's attention. "It's that way." Sam said then pointed in the right direction.
Colby eventually had to hand the camera off so I just stayed behind Sam. We followed the very intricate instructions before we finally got to the rundown house in the middle of the woods.
The look of it alone sent chills down my spine. It looked untouched by humans, so there was no graffiti or man made damage. Nature had definitely taken its course though on the old house.
Vines were growing up the walls of the two story building. Most of the windows were boarded up and parts of the roof were broken off, probably from the weather.
"Are you ready for this?" Colby asked as I nodded. "Yeah, it's beautiful." I said as I took his hand. Sam was ahead of us, filming a bit with Jake and Corey. "Thanks for helping us get down here, our dumbasses wouldn't have figured it out." Colby said as we walked towards the house.
"Yeah, I thought you were a Boy Scout...but you don't know which was was south?" I teased as he grinned, "I was too busy focusing on filming." He said as I chuckled. "Riiiight." I said as we made our way back to the guys.
"I have no idea how we are going to get in, it's blocked from the inside." Sam said as I bit my lip and looked around. I noticed that there was a small opening in one of the windows that I could squeeze through.
I nudged Colby and pointed to it. He turned the camera off for a second. "I think I can fit." I said as Sam bit his lip.
"What will you do when you're in there though?" He asked as I shrugged, "find something to pull the boards off with." I said as Jake nodded, "She's a badass." He said with a laugh as I walked up to the window, "I need a boost." I said as Colby shook his head.
"I don't like this..we have no idea what's in there, it could be dangerous." Colby said nervously as I chuckled. "Do you want a video or not?" I asked and raised my brows. "Violet..." He said as I walked up and put my hand on his cheek. "I'll be okay." I said then kissed him.
"Help me up." I said as Corey and Sam helped lifted me up so I could fit through the opening.
As soon as I hopped down a giant cloud of dust puffed around me causing me to cough. "Are you okay?" Colby called out nervously as I used my sleeve to cover my mouth. "I'm fine!" I said and walked carefully towards the front door.
The floorboards felt like they could sink in at any moment so I had to be careful where I was stepping.
When I got to the front door I pulled at the boards that were blocking the way but they didn't budge. I huffed out a breath then turned around, looking for something to use to get the boards off.
I finally laid my eyes on a hammer, which would be perfect to pry the nails off with.
I grabbed it then started getting to work. "You okay, V?" Colby called out after a few minutes. "Yeah. Almost. Done." I grunted as I pulled each of the nails out of the boards.
It took a couple minutes but I eventually was able to get them off and toss them to the side. I brushed my hands on my pants then carefully opened the door and smirked at the guys.
"Welcome to my home." I said jokingly as I gestured to the dusty building.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
